You’re welcome! Glad you found the video helpful. ☺️ our goal for our video is to find a balance of helpful, fun, and inspiration. Pompeii is a truly fascinating place and incredible to see in person. The Vesuvius hike though crowded, itself just tied it all together and really shows the sheer power of the place. Hope you enjoy your trip. What time of year are you going?
We did both on the same day on our school trip and since we had multiple very good teachers with us they brought us to parts of pompeii that were significant and important to our studies and Vesuvius was very cool! I loved the views and the amount of pictures I took were insane
That’s sounds like an awesome experience, Anthony! What a great way to learn and immerse yourself in your studies. We explored about 60% of Pompeii and we really need to go back at some point. Thanks for sharing your experience with us 😃
Always wanted to visit this area! Watching your video will have to suffice for now haha. Also I would've definitely ended up at the limoncello tourist trap haha.
You both would love Italy! There is apparently good surf here too. Hahaha we weren’t mad about the limoncello tourist trip. Hope you both are doing well!
@@HelenandTimTravel Sorry, i have just another question. I did not get an ticket on 14 may this year or did i do something wrong? Are the tickets for the versuvius sold out one month before or are there any ways to get an ticket for 14th may?? I have entered some kind of lottery for the 14th for last minute tickets?? Is that the only way?? Thank you very much in advance!
Thanks for watching! We enjoyed our stay at the bed and breakfast. You may need a car in that location or it may be a walk to public transit. Here is the link to the place www.booking.com/Share-SfYyT8
Thank you for your video. It's helping me prepare for my trip there. I have one question? How hard did you find the climb up Vesuvius. What level of fitness do you think is necessary?
Great to hear this video is helping with your planning. The hike up was rated moderate, but we did feel like it was easy for the most part. Wide, a bit rocky, and definitely recommend a high ankle hiking boot for support. Definitely all up hill but not very long. Took us about 30 to 45 min with stops along the way to hike up to the rim and also around the top. Took about 20 min to hike down. I think as long as you’re ok with walking stairs for 30 minutes…felt like being on a stairmaster 😆 Bring a hat and water! They sell water but it’s overly priced on the mountain.
