So happy to say that the new restaurant is open! If you're in Austin, or you're planning on making a trip for some barbecue, this is a can't miss spot. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Beyond proud of you and the work you are putting in. This is coming along awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Appreciate that
Nice shot of Chud Motel as back drop in the opening! 😀. OMG! Korean newspaper migrated to Austin 🤣. Restaurant looks awesome 👀
Gotta spread the flavor wherever I go.
Awesome progression of BBQ for these guys!!! Thanks for the update Joe!!!
Thanks for watching
Way cool. Thanks for documenting and sharing this landmark event.
👍
Cool documentary of the somewhat controlled chaos leading up to opening day! It’s been a few decades since I’ve opened a restaurant but the vibes came rushing back. L&L did an amazing job on the design. Looking forward to a full tour at some point. My friend Bill Dumas attended the friends and family and absolutely raved on social media. Seems like Texas Monthly just got a contender for the next #1 Spot!
i agree. it's gonna be cool to watch.
"Chopped beef baked potatoes and pork ribs...that's when we'll start making the money" HAHAHAH! Love the vid, Joe! Lotta hard work went into that, you all should be very proud!
Hahaha! Thanks man
That parking lot got me more excited than anything else!
yup. it'll still up fast, but alot of neighborhood parking.
Thank you for sharing Joe. Awesome job as always.✌✌
Appreciate you watching
Dope joint, I wish I lived next door!❤
👍
super excited for everyone! hoping to make it down there some day!
👍
Matt!!! Coolest guy I met at NSBBQU!!
He’s awesome
All of you were! And still help me when I have questions!
Wow. A lot of the sides resonate with me. I pan sear thick slices of cauliflower in really hot carbon steel (salt, pepper and thyme). Cold soak thick cut onion rings and peel off the membrane before breading. Ect😊
If that was a flat iron, it’s the thickest I’ve ever seen..
Sounds good. Thanks for watching
Really enjoyed this video, awesome to see the build up and execution of the restaurant! Wish I was not near Chicago, so I could try it out lol
Come visit when you can
Great outside look at the new place. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, it was cool to see behind the scenes.
Thanks! Hope you watch part 2 that I posted earlier today
Love it. As soon as the inspector leaves the wall comes down.
Yup. Haha
I’m planning on visiting on March 23. Hope you’re still there!
Not sure yet
Great stuff Joe. Saw Evan's video out on the L&L page and this gave all that a lot more perspective. Love it! ❤👍👍
Glad to hear
Joe,
Cool video! Glad you are a part of this!
So what is the safe/ correct way for us short pitmasters to open a high pit door.
The amount of items LeRoy & Lewis serves is insane! How did Jess Pryles get her rubs sold there?
Keep up the great content!👍
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful restaurant, can’t wait to eat there some day
it's gonna be dope.
Awesome content and as always great background music choices. You are a great commentator especially with all the work you are doing on top of it. Take care.
Appreciate it. Thanks for watching
Congratulations! I hope to interview y’all in the future.
Best of Luck Homies!! Thanks Joe!
thanks. appreciate you watching
This is so exciting! I can't wait to visit one day.
👍
That is fantastic! I'm hoping it's a great success👍😊
Thanks!
Bringing the knewspaper cheat code to l&l no wonder their food is so good 😂
Always trying to leave an impact anywhere I go
Standing on that crate to open the smoker door looks like a OSHA fine waiting to happen! Thanks for the video 🤙
it wasn't their decision. it was mine. haha
Nothing like the government eh? Milk crates can handle hundreds of pounds.. probably 1000# +
Can’t wait to go eat there!
it'll be great.
Great video, Joe!!!
thanks!
Awesome man!
appreciate it
man I wish I was there, even working!
Come check it out!
Random question...what is that honing rod did you use
@14:33 that dude is so baked hahaha love it that dude earned it
LOL! I don’t think he was. It just been a longgg week.
👍
👍
Hell yeah. Can’t wait till I take another trip back to Austin.
👍
Might Joe putting out another banger! For the algorithms bay bay 🎉🎉🎉
appreciate you watching
That’s pretty bad ass you have the opportunity to work for them! I do not know any of you guys personally, but if you all are like the camera captures, it’s seems like a great work environment
I only hang around the best. Haha. Thanks for watching
Did the Chud box trailer make it in time ?
It won’t be here for a bit
I'm going to be in austin in a few weeks. So I can only get cheeks on a Friday and brisket on a Saturday 😢?
yup, but alot more options.
🔥🔥😱👏👏👏👏
👍
9:35 that foil sounds thin, not heavy duty! I hate the thin monogram 😂
Haha. We use two layers. 🤷♂️
Any chance they start selling that mustard sauce online?
Not sure. I would email them.
Who is the "Lewis" part of L&L?
Sawyer Lewis. Look her up. She’s a boss.
what's the profit margins on place like that, with that many employees and serving up 44 farms?
That’s something you can find out by watching their videos.
@knoxavebbq thanks for the quick reply. But that video is quite old and was from his food truck. This new setup is a whole new animal. As a consultant, I was wondering if you could provide something on a setup like this, not necessarily leroys exactly. Thanks
@@Jay7878. i would have to know more about their business to know that information. im here just to help out with training staff.
@knoxavebbq for sure, I get that and agree 100%. From your past experiences though working and traveling through numerous BBQ establishments, what is an expected healty profit margin? Especially the first 1-3 years of any?
Thanks.
@@Jay7878.30% is usually we're shooting for, but with high prices of meats, we try to offset it by selling sides and drinks with much better margins to balance it out.
Can someone explain to me what's going on. I watch these videos very sporadically, so I'm ill informed.
look up leroy and lewis
you guys are missing a great opportunity. .... the city of Galveston built a new cruise ship terminal servicing thousands of people and they put it where no restaurants are near by... a BBQ place in Galveston is really needed... there is only one place there now and its not really BBQ.... a gold mine awaits you
the plan was to have in austin, but sounds like a great opportunity for you!
Their business has been in Austin for years. Also it’s the Texas BBQ capital. I think they’ll do just fine lol.
You are right, though. Sounds like a prime spot for a Texas BBQ joint
