- You win some. You lose some more. My grader must have had a bad day at the office, because he had bad intentions! 28 cards submitted to PSA, with some decent hits, some disappointments, and some controversial grades.

Yeah, one suggestion to this slab happy era- Don't grade base and don't grade 1/1s. 😅
I lived through the junk wax era and now believe were living through the junk slan era.
With all Ive seen, I just don't trust some grading companies anymore.
Definitely mixed results with your batch.
Used to be collectors slabbed a few rare/valuable cards. Nowadays newbs grade EVERYTHING 😅

Seems like you've got a bit of everything.
Yeah, I've gone back and forth as to where I stand on the one of ones. I think if you think it has a chance at a 9 or better, and you want to protect the card, go for it. The fact that it got a 5 without any visible bends or creases just boggled my mind though 😂 Cracked it open, and it definitely was not a 5. An 8 at worse in my opinion. So I'm keeping it in a one touch.
I mostly collect football, but dabble in basketball and hockey. I also just collect athletes I'm a fan of in general.
