- From Venetian canals to Roman ruins and Positano promenades, Italy's blockbuster destinations lure tourists with ancient history, Renaissance art, and "la dolce vita." But undiscovered corners persist, and tour guide duo Rich Earl and Colleen Schaffer join forces to unlock the back doors of today's Italy. We bask in the rugged beauty of Sardinia, eat our way through the culinary hub of Modena, and soak up panoramic ocean views in the medieval Tuscan hill town of Capalbio. Along the way, we snack on cheese paired with balsamic vinegar, fruit, and local wine. Salute! #ricksteves #mondaynighttravel

It is nice to see Rick Steve's Europe returning to its roots by highlighting backdoor locations. I encourage more of these types of videos for other countries.
We were guided by Colleen on the Best of Italy tour this spring. It was absolutely fantastic.
Thank you Rick Steves ❤
