Here's the tips: Some characters you have to deal a bit of damage to before the combos works, like, link for example. about 6% before it works properly. If you don't input the nair for popo after the roll nana wont roll, and popo wont nair. They both have to have roll and nair inputted before popo ends the throwing animation. After nana rolls and popo nair's just spam side b until nana does squall then run up and grab, and repeat. if your opponent is close to the edge you don't have to do two cycles of dthrow, roll, nair, sideb, grab. just do one and end with the spike, its more consistent i think. with the fthrow fair, once you get the grab near the ledge watch nana and wait for her to just finish the squall animation and input fthrow, keep holding you fthrow input, (analog stick toward the ledge) and tap jump and attack in quick succession. you dont need to input a forward analog stick input for nana if you're already holding towards the ledge. and you should be, from the forward throw. Straight after the fthrow, input the fair as fast as possible. If you want the combo to be more constant then just do one (dthrow, roll, nair, squall, grab) instead of two. and spike at the ledge, less chance they'll fall out of the combo and it still looks cool/impressive. Amazing guide! After some practice I’m starting to get it! Just starting to learn the ICs and their combos are so much fun and so satisfying. Quick question: Nana sometimes ends up behind the opponent before her side b making it so she misses and side b’s in front of them without hitting them. Do you know what I’m doing wrong for that to happen?
Thank you very much, Im glad. Nana rolls too far? She probably ends up behind the opponent because you have analog input as you roll, in otherwords, don't hold towards your opponent for to long when inputting roll or nair. If this is still a problem just tell me and I'll help you out.
press jump and tap toward the stage at the same time, then straight after tap a. It helps to wait a few seconds before you try to spike, if you know what I mean?
While you have the last grab wait for Nana to just finish the Squall/Side B, then input fthrow but keep holding your joystick towards the ledge and input Nair asap... Your original throw input you held will work as the fair input. Because you're still holding your Fthrow input your Nair will become a Fair for Nana. Hope that helps.

@@lucatriom5175 yeah, you want to input the next move for your ice climber during the other ones animation to keep them desynced, does that make sense?

nana keeps doing the nair instead of popo and I never get the timing right even though I input roll when popo hits the opponent on the groun and input a nair right after that 😭
is it still possible to do this or am i just bad, because im having trouble when to input roll. i have done it once but i didnt really know how i did it
no question is dumb, advise on the last part is when you get the grab wait a little while for nana to finish squall, then forward throw and jump fair straight after
Hey, if nana isnt rolling its probably because you're not inputting the nair for popo straight after nana wont roll unless you also input the nair. so go dthrow roll nair really quickly, dont wait tell me if that helps
when you get to the last grab for the spike, wait for nana to stop her squall then input, fthrow or dthrow > Jump > A make sure your still holding towards the ledge after the throw, use that as the fair analog input. you can also time the spike, when you get the last grab, Grab pummel three times in fast succession then input the spike. i hope that makes sense
@@tomiidev Thank you very much, I made the video because when I was learning the combo, I couldn't find a video that explained it well enough, so I wanted to make it easier for people who were like me. Thats why it makes me so happy to see it working.
Trying to learn the combo. My issue tends to be Popo fairs instead of nairs, or the regrab doesn't work, even against big opponents. Any tips for these problems?
You're doing a fair with popo because you're still holding towards your opponent from the roll/squall, the analog stick has to be neutral. And, yes, the regrab doesn't really work on characters like DK, mainly DK and Bowser, but instead of going for a regrab just do an uptilt and combo off that. some people combo a popo nair into a nana nair into a grab instead, I've never done it before personally.
ShyIvy The whole analog stick not resetting to neutral has been a problem of mine for a while, but do I manually push it back to neutral or do I just let go and let it go back to neutral itself? Will that be quick enough? So maybe the regrab works better on fast fallers?
@@TheGreenAzumarill I let go if the stick to put it in neutral, trust me after practice it will become second nature, muscle memory. Yes works best against fast fallers, captain falcon and fox are usually the best. If you want the combo to be more constant then just do one (dthrow, roll, nair, squall, grab) instead of two, and spike at the ledge
maybe i’m just timing it wrong but for the roll after dthrow is nana is just doing like a yoshi shield dance and idk if that’s bc of an update or naw,, is anyone able to still do it
@@shyivy6440 No problem. You didnt even have to, I guess but thank you verry much anyways. And the fact, that you even reply to all these comments is verry remarkeble! Not everyone cares so much about their community. Thank you ^^
thats because you're either doing the roll, nair to early or you're not inputting the nair straight after the roll if you dont input nair after roll neither of them will do the desync
It's all about timing. While Popo has your opponent grabbed wait for Nana to stop her squall, when she does instantly tap toward the ledge (forward throw) and tap the X and A button at the same time (Fair) and Nana will do the spike/fair at the same time you throw of your opponent. The reason you want to tap the joystick toward the ledge is so Popo forward throws your opponent off the side, the you slide your fingers from X to A and Nana will do the Spike as you throw your opponent. If you still need help or don't understand just message me again. Good luck, tell me if you get it.

@@shyivy6440 oh so im doing it too late?
@@lucatriom5175 yeah, you want to input the next move for your ice climber during the other ones animation to keep them desynced, does that make sense?
@@shyivy6440 yes it does sorry for replying late
@@lucatriom5175 No problem
What if they both keep side n instead of just one :(?
that means you tried to do the desync too early, or you didn't input the nair for popo after nanas roll
if you dont do the nair straight after you do nanas roll then neither of them will desync
nana keeps doing the nair instead of popo and I never get the timing right even though I input roll when popo hits the opponent on the groun and input a nair right after that 😭
Its all about timing. You have to be quick with your inputs. Do Nair roll before popo lets go of the opponent
So i still need help
I can’t get my forward fair to connect after my forward throw they always go to far can you help???
Its probably because you either didn't wait for nana's last squall to end before you threw them, or you weren't quick enough with the forward air
ShyIvy I’ll try waiting longer I’m able to connect it with a down throw tho it’s just my forward throw throws them far
When I try to spike him with forward air, it rarely ever spikes. I don't know what i'm timing wrong, have any tips?
wait im an actual moron, this whole time ive been using down throw when you are suppose to forward throw... LOL
@@jackveedock4893 Did you get it down?

Hello🖐 I can't grap Ganondorf if i input the first side b for Nana. What should I do?
Can u do a video all about f throw fair idk how to do it still
dthrow fair is bettter
They keep falling out of nanas side b I need help please
Keep up with Nana's side B as Popo, and grab them out of nanas side b before it finishes
I don't get the part of the spike with f-throw nana doesn't move as i command her to she just poses like a normal f-throw can someone help me pls
I tried to do the spike finisher but Nana cheered instead of fair. What did i do wrong?
wait for nana to stop the squall after your grab then go for it
or
once you get the grab you can pummel 3 times then go for it for timing aswell
my nair isn’t connecting and then my side b won’t connect how do i fix this? or then i hit the nair but popo joins the side b
So for some stupid reason, Nana doesn’t want to spike at the end. Idk why, I do the input, and she just cheers me on. Am I doing something wrong?
your timing is off
Do u have any tips when I try to roll to early it just doesn’t roll
is it still possible to do this or am i just bad, because im having trouble when to input roll. i have done it once but i didnt really know how i did it
It's still possible
I would recommend an f tilt instead of nair as its more true
Does the combo work with a single joycon
I find it easier if you down throw and the end for the spike
If it works for you go for it :)
I know this sounds dumb, but I'm really struggling with the last part, the nana spike. any advice?
no question is dumb, advise on the last part is when you get the grab wait a little while for nana to finish squall, then forward throw and jump fair straight after
@@appleant1083 no lol
I think this combo would be great, but im having a tough time inputting the roll for nana right after the d throw in the start. Can someone help me?
Hey, if nana isnt rolling its probably because you're not inputting the nair for popo straight after
nana wont roll unless you also input the nair.
so go
dthrow
roll
nair
really quickly, dont wait
tell me if that helps
@Lucario And Riolu You just gotta do it like right after bowser hits the ground
im commentating late but doest this still work on this currrent patch
This still works, but it depends on how fast you pull it off now
I have mastered everything but the spike at the end. After I throw them, Nana spikes late. Any tips?
i’m just struggling with the spike, i tap the left stick towards the ledge and short hop at the same time and then press a?
when you get to the last grab for the spike, wait for nana to stop her squall then input, fthrow or dthrow > Jump > A
make sure your still holding towards the ledge after the throw, use that as the fair analog input.
you can also time the spike, when you get the last grab, Grab pummel three times in fast succession then input the spike.
i hope that makes sense
ShyIvy thanks man, did it :)
@@tomiidev Awesome! I'm proud. Well done. Im happy I could help
ShyIvy yeah dude i saw this combo on a video i was like damn that’s so sick, thanks for sharing good content keep it up
@@tomiidev Thank you very much, I made the video because when I was learning the combo, I couldn't find a video that explained it well enough, so I wanted to make it easier for people who were like me. Thats why it makes me so happy to see it working.
whenever i do the first roll to nair, nana does a foward air after the nair, and then the side b doesn't connect. Any reason why??
I also keep missing the Grab during the side-b
ShyIvy Thank you so much. ^-^
@@TheGreenAzumarillNo problem, good luck, i hope you get it down.
I did the same steps but instead of a forward throw in the end I did a down throw. Seems to be easier and not as time restrictive.
I keep forgetting to do the roll at the end
I can get to the end of the combo, but I can’t get Nana to foward air instead of neutral air.
maybe i’m just timing it wrong but for the roll after dthrow is nana is just doing like a yoshi shield dance and idk if that’s bc of an update or naw,, is anyone able to still do it
I just tested it and it still works, its probably because of your timing. If you need more help just ask
does this combo even work on very heavy caracter as ganondorf or bowser ?
Hey there.
What do I do wrong, when popo, after doing his nair, joins in on nanas side b?
(I'm sorry if this sentence was not english)

Every time I try to do it , both ice climbers roll at the same time
thats because you're either doing the roll, nair to early or you're not inputting the nair straight after the roll
if you dont input nair after roll neither of them will do the desync

Get a grab while nana is still doing squall and just as she finishes squall input fthrow fair
Nana is a little slow on the forward air no matter how I time it. What am I doing wrong
I've been practicing and so far I've only got the buffered roll (Nana) and sorta the nair (Popo)
Need any help?
@@shyivy6440 sorta?? I mostly need to get the timing right
how do you two the input combo at the ledge at the end I can't seem to get it right
It's all about timing.
ShyIvy thank you I wasn’t waiting for nana to stop and thought it must have been patched out or something
Can you tell me what frame the de-sync is
The frame popo hits the opponent into the ground is where you Input Roll > Nair before the grab animation ends
