It's me again Richard I meant to let you know that I have a 250 that was involved in a fire but I had gotten most parts off before caught fire. But I do have a lot of rare parts for it and that was a 250 dual carb and also a lot of hard to find parts to join the two carburetors together. Let me know if you work out somebody might be interested. Thank you much
Hello Richard you did a very nice tutorial on that 250 Honda XL. I was hoping you could let me know by texting me where you bought most of your aftermarket and OEM parts because I have a $500 Honda XL that I want to do. That would be wonderful if you can send me an email or a link back. Once again thank you much and great tutorial.
Thank you. All the parts came from 3 places. eBay was essential for most of the missing body parts , wheel, clocks. David Silver spares provided most of the service items and cmsnl.com provided the impossible to find parts.
If you live in North America then you won't have any issues finding parts, these bikes were far more common there than here in Europe. A lot of my eBay purchase's came from the u.s and Canada, often the postage was more than the item itself
Depends an where you live. In the UK I would check out the parts diagrams at cmsnl.com than do a Google search on the part numbers and eBay. David silver spares are good too. Good luck with the project
I have the same bike and I was curious if you could help me out a little, I have to rebuild it and cant figure out how to put the transmission back the right way
When I get a chance I will photograph the relevant pages of my manual. Send me your email address or if your UK based and have WhatsApp your mobile number
Good morning Barry. I do still have the micron exhaust. I'm hanging on to it until I'm happy with the reproduction exhaust. The bike is in the final stages of restoration, requiring only decals to be done.
Hello very good job! I have the same bike without the exhaust pipe and blinkers. If anyone knows where I can found original parts I would be very happy. Sorry for my bad english
Hi Pierre. If it's an original exhaust that you are looking for, it may prove very hard or expensive. To only ones I ever see are used ones on eBay USA. Other original parts might be found at cmsnl.
I ride my grandpas xl250s around his property. I absolutely adore the old xl250's with a passion.
