    I am drawing today on a very special panel made by Raymar. It is Stonehenge paper adhered to a hardboard panel using a PH buffered adhesive film. In short, it is AMAZING. They aren't available to the public yet but when they are it will be at www.raymarart.com/

    Honest and eloquent as always, thanks for the stream. I hope more people can learn and find their art path, as I been doing since I started watching and joining your patron Stephen.

    Hey! I'm also in the middle of moving away from Abstract Expressionism to now focus more on the academic side. Bargue is totally inspiring and your amazing teaching allows people like me, at home, to learn without a high barrier of entry. So, thank you :)

      I just started doing the same. I got the book but haven't started it just yet. Abstract Expressionism to the academic style is like moving to another planet for me.

    I loved Bargue plates from the first time I saw them, not sure what that says about me. Best drawing channel on the internet!

    Hi Stephen, I also started drawing again and I must say that copying Bargue's drawings is improving my skills. Thanks for letting me discover this great designer. Good work as an artist!

    The idea that academic training would diminish your creativity is like saying that learning scales, modes, arpeggios, and chords will ruin your musical creativity. It’s the opposite of the truth, it will give you the capability to bring your creative impulses into reality.

    I have a question too! Do you use sight size when working with casts while in school and do you use it when working from life?

    • @stephenbaumanartwork
      @stephenbaumanartwork  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used it in school. These days I don't use it or teach it.

    Hey Stephen, thanks for the nice videos. I am trying to become a realistic character designer/concept artist and just wanted to see if you thought the Bargue plates help with drawing from imagination or are they mostly for drawing from models?

      They can help but are probably not the most direct route to improvement in that genre.
