- Ever Since I have started earning money, the day of income tax filing has become an important date in my life.
Whenever I got a promotion, it gave me happiness, but along with a sense of anxiety when I used to realise that I had entered the new tax slab and now I had to pay double income tax on whatever I was earning to the government.

But can I accept something? I have never been against the idea of 'taxes' but for me, the major disappointment is regarding the purpose my taxes serve for my country. I pay taxes so that I can contribute to the quality infrastructure of India, enjoy the healthcare facilities, and contribute to the defence advancement of my country.
But what do I get in return? Falling airport ceilings, congested roads, ever-increasing taxes even on my savings and houses, and no extra benefit or recognition as a tax payer, let's say the government is saying that we are still a developing country, so we are primarily focusing on the inclusivity of the lower section of society-but even after this, India is one of the leading countries in terms of income inequality.

India don’t build Founders they just build Managers, CEO’s, Employees, when new technology arrives even Managers, Employees will Loose Jobs. But govt responsibility is to control population growth and provide jobs to all kind of skilled (Low,Medium,High) employees. Don’t blame people or student they have studied govt syllabus and became degree holders. If skills are mandatory build skilled syllabus. It’s pure BJP govt failure in building/providing new Jobs. If they say they provided 5crore jobs, 15crore more new graduates will stand without jobs next year. Who is responsible now? It should be govt who should control over population. For what purpose they need 144crore? To give freebies to 81crore people and get vote ?

India will still be a developing country unless and until we have quota and reservations for caste and religion. And major problem is selection process where instead of selecting on merit and real life problem solving skills.
Here's my take on how to demotivate the overhyped govt job scenario
And few laws should have been made to keep govt in check:
Local infrastructure development act
According to which any and all govt employees and politicians should send their children to the govt schools in their locality using public transport. And should always get treatment in only govt hospitals. If they fail to do so, they will not only be suspended from the job, but also loose all the benefits they would have gotten after retirement. And if they want to send their kids abroad or private schools and colleges or want to get treated in private hospital, not only will they loose their jobs. But will also have to go through the entire process of getting the job, starting from giving exams.
Every politician should have minimum educational qualification of bachelor's or equivalent degree with 5yrs of job experience
Every govt employee's track record should be checked every 5yrs to see whether he should be allowed to continue with the same. And also check how much he has contributed to the society as a whole.
If it is found that he/she has taken bribe even if one rupee, not only will they be suspended. But will also have to serve 10yrs of jail time
Same punishment will be given to the person who has misused the law.

Such a gem you are. Really great. One of my suggestion is in all small and MSME all employment should link with PAN card. Many businesses use fake salary slips to a dead man or fake transactions. Second 70-80%Farmers should be scrutinised. Every big farmers income should be taxed it is tax heavens right now. All big farmers use cash for there fake transactions to convert into legal.

Government should discontinue current tax system and implement BTT tax system as 1% tax on purchase of any product and services. Then it will be fair for everyone. And to make this compulsory govt should make strict law and punishment against it.
It would've helped if you could've addressed that the "rural super rich" are not paying taxes due to excessive and unnecessary exemption from income tax provided for agricultural income.

My suggestion: 1% tax on 0.6 lakh to 3 lakh income [All type of income including Agriculture income and Retail business income like chai waala, Pakodawaala, Kirani shop, footwear shop, jewellery shop and self employee like painter, doctor, lawyer, driver, artist] and provide Free Term insurance coverage of 15 lakh life cover and Health insurance coverage of 3 lakh for one year and tax pay not compulsory up to 3 lakh. 2% tax on 3 lakh to 10 lakh income [All type of income including Agriculture income and Retail business income like chai waala, Pakodawaala, Kirani shop, footwear shop, jewellery shop and self employee like painter, doctor, lawyer, driver, artist]. Above 10 lakh income 10% tax [2% tax on 3 lakh to 20 lakh on Agriculture income, Retail business income and self employee and 10% tax on Above 20 lakh Agriculture income ]

Sir, AdarshGupta people like you must be a part of the parliament or an advisor to the government to help the nation to make it look like well authorised and civilised and make the citizens of our country to pay their tax dues with pious satisfaction and ofc old growing citizen’s pensions and boosting border’s safety these measures are salient to look after but middle class people shouldn’t feel like they are having high tax burdens on them with very low expenses that’s the reason they want their child to get a quality education and to get the scholarships for abroad because education system is brutal for every student and they are only provided with worn out education system so far and not that full of skills learning system and not even the govt improvising in sports field to give it a boost other than cricket to make people pay their contribution over there in short out nation needs a magic trick to improve nation’s current conditions in lesser duration.

Consumption will be badly effected. I know many people who use to go restaurants every week now go once a month, reason is price sky rocketed, high tax less savings.

0 - 10 L -> 0 %
10 - 20 L -> 5 %
20 - 30 -> 10 %
30 - 50 L -> 20 %
50 L - 1 cr - 25 %
1 cr + - 30 %

First and foremost thing election results have made clear that people in India mostly middle class /tax payer are not unhappy with Modi government. People on ground level are willing to support Modi ji by paying indirect taxes.
Another thing people in India are not emotionally connected with India. They are connected with their states. There are Punabis, Bengali, gujrati, Malayali.... But not Indian. I have worked in almost 6 To 7 states of India. Everywhere I stayed people of one state consider person of other state outsider. Language create a deliberate barrier to restrict outsider. Why should people from Maharashtra will pay taxes when they are used for People of bihar?this may sound harsh but it is reality on ground level. Indian is not Indian. Then why would people pay taxes under the emotion of nation? Why would they will ask government a tough question.?

Sir I can understand ur pain and my pain also but in reality we are developing country at the end we are competing with developed countries taxes and developed countries facilities. No one is understanding this fact, pervious govt used to do so many corruption but this govt is developing infrastructure, and building high class roads, defence budget might be low but it will go up. Our votes won't impact the election results, so they will never care about serving us, but we are a big cash cow for the government. In the few years that went by, I have understood that people in power actually don't care about the country. They only care about staying in power. Life is becoming harder work wise already, and they are taking almost half our income as we go up in the salary bracket. I don't mind paying higher taxes, but I want to see benefits in return. Move to another country if you can. At least you will be able to retire in peace.
