Well done on the top of the hole anxiety boys. Insanity as always gents! curious of your line set up. Mostly liter poundage??
Average depth like 40ft of water With the rod I usually use 30lb braid with 10- 20ft 20lb fluro depending how, if I’m deeper, like 80ft I’ll use 20lb braid and 20ft of leader of 20lb, more water creates more drag on the line, and sometimes those big fish will feel just like a slight bump on your line when they bite, so you want it to be as sensitive as possible, haha anyways that’s my theory and from experience, tip up I run 80lb tip up line with a 20 foot 30lb fluro,
Really appreciate the break down man. Lost my PB laker at the hole few seasons back and it’s completely changed my set up. Finally running proper gear. Hitting the big water on manitoulin island again def making sure I’m running this same line set up as you described. There’s some goon potential out there for trout etc. I have to grab some stronger Floro now hahaha.

Was so choked when we pulled up to the lake and realized they were a 25 min drive back to the pas! It would have costed us almost an hour of fishing to go back and get them! Not worth it! Luckily there was no water or slush 😂😅😅

@ hahah I have not a clue, maximum keeper size is 26” here, so it is illegal for most ppl to keep beside First Nations and Métis harvesters, I am a First Nations harvester but I prefer to let the big ones go to keep the gene pool of big fish strong so I can film videos just like this one haha
