The Gamelan Orchestra with SKALA

This online parent-child workshop is inspired by the beautiful shapes, lines and colours of Sudjana Kerton’s painting Gamelan Orchestra. Drawing from Sudjana Kerton’s interpretation of this Javanese musical ensemble, the workshop-led by musician, educator, and composer Rosmainy Buang from the arts collective SKALA-will introduce you to the Javanese gamelan ensemble and instruments such as the gong, saron, drums and many more. At the end, you and your family will be invited to create your own work of art inspired by the beautiful sounds of the gamelan orchestra.
