Please note that the Police are aware that vehicles and caravans have arrived at the parks recreational fields on Eastbury road, located within the Oxhey ward of Watford.
Police are currently liaising with local council officials regarding enforcement notices being issued to the vehicles. Police will be on patrol in the area and will monitor the situation carefully whilst offering reassurance to local residents and dealing with any issues raised appropriately.

Travelers are not nice to and never will be to settled people. I work in an industrial estate and there are constant robberies. I have travelers walk in to my warehouse when they can't see anyone. They then protest innocence and say they were talking to the boss. I'm the boss. It's always and I repeat, always travelers. This is my family business, that I worked hard for and no one is going to stop me protecting it. It supports my family and puts my kids through school, yet this comment will be deemed discriminatory, when I am in fact stating the truth. Travelers lie, cheat and steal and use the discrimination card when brought up on it. It is a disgrace.

We had them set up camp near our house on a patch of green, they'd stay for a week then leave the most disgusting mess behind then come back again once the council had cleaned it all up until eventually bollards where put up and thankfully that stopped them.

I work for a large company and all the theft and incidents we get are 90% travellers. They cause so many issues where ever they go.

They stole a lot of expensive digging/building machinery from a University near me a few years ago. Police knew it was them, but werent allowed to enter their site without authorisation from a judge, even though much of the stolen machinery could be seen from outside the camp. As you can imagine, it had all disappeared by the time permission was granted.

the parks and go shop lifting from the shops in the area then people wouldn't mind them , and they are not homeless as they have houses as well, they choose to travel around so they can do work like tree surgery, garden work and drives and go around stealing then they just move on .

For me its the kids that are the worst, baby faced little mugs who run amok in supermarkets goading the security while another one tries to pocket things.
We had some near my work place last week, an over 18 establishment and of course, the kids tried running in, they called one of our members the N word and when my boss told them to leave, all he got back was "you can't touch us" and all this nonsense.
They are gone now, but I walk past where they were parked and they left their usual calling card, a lot of mess for the council to deal with, never met a group I liked.
Travellers cause so much pain, sorrow and harm. They are awful people. Thankfully they live apart from most decent people.

I have spoken and come across travellers in my life at various occasions and never had any issues with them..Don't forget so called "settled" dwellers have a crime aspect also..i am not saying all travellers are angels but crime cannot be just attributed to travellers and they are just trying to get by in life like we all are...Just to add the uk is the biggest caravanning nation in the world and take a look at some of the mess settled caravanners leave at campsites etc...None of us are perfect...look at the mess pub goers leave on a boozing weekend.!!..i could go on but i hope people see my point.
