I saw one of these today as I was driving in San Carlos California and was wondering what it was. It looked familiar but I had forgotten it's name. The car was much wider and nicer looking in person, it was also in a blue color with tan interior. I don't know what it is about cameras that make cars look narrower than they are in real life.
I really like the 612. One of the best Ferraris in my opinion. And that is the way Ferrari used to build their road cars in the beginning. A front engined 4 seater. Hope you buy one of these soon. I also love the 456. Hope you check that out to.
I saw a 2011 registered Scaglietti parked down the street from where I work a few days ago which I definitely wasn't expecting considering it's a rural Irish town. I have to say it looked superb. A silver/grey colour with the chrome wheels.
I love it when you suddenly lust after a car you originally wasn't that interested in . My best friends brother had a black 612 and it was great inside and jeeez it shifted !!!! The engine noise used to set off car alarms too :)
Just wait a little more and buy yourself a used ff and you’ll have a four seater v12 (which is all that man kind ever wanted), it’s not that much more expensive than that black 612, I’ve found some for 135000£
Glad you tested both cars, i was going to say there is a huge difference between 05 and 10 models. I think you can smash 20/30k miles and not lose 100k like the previous owner. Looking forward to the new car... i think the 599 is a bargain at the minute too and you can brag it has an enzo engine.
I must admit, I have always prefered the look of the Ferrari 456. That's the one for my dream garage. Its always great to see Maranello products our channel.
If I haven't said it before. Mi compadré.... You, my friend, are the truth. Keep doing what you do & keep belting out the great automotive content. Thank you.
Tom Evans That would be fantastic, the GTB sound so nice ! But they are a bit more expensive than the 612 wich is the same price as the 360 Modena, he will not lose a penny if he sold the 360 for a 612
In the UK you can buy a choice of 599s for about £95k. The black 612 he drove was £120k (although the red one was a lot cheaper). The 360 is probably worth about £60k... so yes, cheap 612 money for sure. But the 612 probably has a bit more depreciating to do, whereas the 360 has plateaued out. I would prefer the maintenance costs of the 360 too.
I think the 612 is so weird and brilliant because its such a marmite car, however to buy one for £130,000 is just ludicrous because you can get a nice Ferrari FF which has 4 seats for that sort of money and is soo much nicer in every way.
Do it! One of the most underrated modern Ferraris, in my opinion, and I love it! Buuut it's hard to justify the 130k on the black one, a bargain 60-80k is probably the way to go. Anyway, just do it! Ferrari CollectorSamSTG start! HAHAHAHA
LSV10SwappedKeiCar he said the 612 costs around 130k and for that money he could also get a 599 or a 458. And i agree that the 599 would he a better option
Hey Sam, a Singaporean fan right here! Just like to let you know that your contents are the best amongst all other Supercar TH-camrs & you never fail to make me excited to watch your videos! Keep up the great work! Besides, didn’t know the red 612 Scaglietti was made for a Singaporean prince haha!
Nice Car :) So the plan is to build a "cheap" Ferrari collection, so you get the opportunity to buy a new special edition from the factory? Love how fit in the Ferrari owners club :) Great Video! Like always!:)
The 612 OTO is a highly desirable car from an investment point of view. That car will appreciate very similarly to what you see in a 365GTC/4. The 612 OTO you drove is very well optioned and would hold its value reasonably well throughout your ownership until it starts to appreciate. The fact that it is a 2010 is important as that was the last year of the 612. It is a very satisfying car in many respects as you already experienced. Check out the link from some 612 owners and their comments about the 612 OTO. www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/how-many-612-otos-were-built.495753/
I once too hated the 612. Also earlier in the year my coworker almost bought a 612, but then ended up buying a vacation home in Aspen, Colorado. He actually made me change my opinion on the 612. Buying a OTO and it being a 2010 is a good buy for future appreciation!
Sam get the 612 black one, it has way more character than the 599. 612 has that something about it that makes it more desirable than the regular 599.... 599 gtb with the handling package is a different car altogether and so is the 599gto 599gto is my ultimate dream ferrari.
I really used to dislike this car..one of the worst designs at the time when it was new. But I think it aged rather well! Needs red or yellow color and challenge wheels
I own a 2007 612. It is a great car. Cost 95k USD last year. Pozzi blue over Bordeaux interior. Also has 60th anniversary badge. It is a solid choice for a gentlemen’s Ferrari.
Singapore does not have a royal family, so there are no princes. We have rich kids who act like princes but no official princes. But it most likely was a Singaporean car which was exported because of our pathetic, ridiculous and expensive car ownership laws. That car probably retailed for 800k SGD or there abouts when it was new. That's 440k GBP. And the owner probably had to get rid of it by law, thanks to our ownership laws.
612 was the first all aluminum space frame and body. Elegant styling to the max and pure luxury interior. This car will age super well and be one of the most rare as they were built in small numbers as it was a true 4 seat Ferrari.
Do you really need 4 seater? I think you can spend 130k on a better car. Ask shmee about his FF. Also Ferrari 4 seater. He used to drive this car a lot and he might help you.
612 is beautiful in its own right. It takes some getting used to and it looks a lot better with the 5 spoke wheels which visually condenses and shortens the car. Making it look tighter.
Long term viewers of the channel will have seen me calling the 812 the Eight One Twelve a number of times by mistake over the Mille Miglia. Just running the joke boys.
Sam, I own a 612 and an slr, despite the slr being the car that it is, iv been in love with the 612 since the first day, specially that extremely beautyfull sounding v12, specially if you have the tubi exhaust on, it sounds so good!!! If your thinking much about it, just do it, buy it, excellent car!! Greetings from Spain!!
Sam - If you can afford a 360 and a 612 why not just sell the 360 and get a 360 CS like you really really want. As a viewer we like to see the passion for the cars you love not two lesser cars that you have to settle for.
All these old Ferrari's and cars are just not so entertaining to watch about, there's a reason they're old and no one talks about them anymore. I much preferred your McLaren and F-Type days, even if I questioned the mods and aesthetics you went for. Just my personal, honest opinion.
Kind of, yes. But let's be honest, I don't think it looks good in green, especially with those wheels. In addition to that, the 718 Cayman S isn't exactly an exciting car to see, most of the time it would be skipped when lined up with similar options like a C63 or an M4 etc..it's just another Porsche.
Same here, always "hated" the 612 but recently it has sort of grown in me and now i think that it has aged quite well on the exterior but I also think it would not be a good daily considering that it's a huge V12 Ferrari
This dealership is so close to me and it’s always got incredible stock, often just poke my head in to see the F40 and Enzo’s about, not forgetting the P1 - thought this would be STG’s heaven 😂
I'm sorry to say this, but it's time to visit the neurologist and explain, "Six months ago, I never would have dreamed of getting a 612, but now my life depends on it." This is probably an early sign that you have an undiagnosed tumor.
That 612 One To One looked really great, I have to say. I know what you mean about hating the 612 when it came out - at the time, I just thought it looked bad.
I think a 612 OTO is a great shout, design has aged well and arguably looks better now than say 8yrs ago. Don't buy one without a factory sports exhaust though.
The 612 is definitely a nice looking more subtle Ferrari with a lot of power, 4 seats and it has a reasonable price tag, but I think you need to go for something with a bit more wow. You can get used F430s for £70-120k, which is actually really good because your not going to be spending a ridiculous amount on your car and you can use the extra money to use for any modifications. And if you really want to push it there are some 458s for about £115-130k which is also pretty good. And if you want a practical Ferrari, then consider looking at the FF. I’ve seen a few of those under £130k.
I grew up near Ashford - there used to be a challenge to see how fast you could go from the roundabout before you went under the bridge at 08:55. I'd love to know what this would do
I remember a few years back seeing a FerrariChat member replacing a cracked glass roof at around $20k. As beautiful as the glass is in the OTOs, I think I look for one without. That spec is beautiful nevertheless.
Mate, i see what you do there. Starting a Ferrari collectors garage so you get nice customer spots in a couple years on their new cars. Love the mindset :)
The 612 Scaglietti was the first sportscar I ever got a ride in. It had a tubi-exhaust and the owner floored all the time, what an amazing car! *I love it!* :D
Sam wants a four seater Ferrari and likes a 612 Scaglietti ... is Sam becoming a dad?
There was a hint in his previous video
Boosted And Bolted wow, I was joking, but if I was right then congrats
Yes He Is !
I thought he was bent
Michael Masin sam slung one up his birds minge
Your content is in a different league to all of your peers on TH-cam, no one comes close to your current level of quality.
I think James does, for me they are pretty much equal, sams editing is better but james‘ Access to cars is unreal!
Totally Agree.. Keep up the Good work Sam
Simon Mark Tim has better content though
Simon Mark as long as there is no Paul Wallace, Seb etc etc then we are on to a winner!
You wrote this nice comment and yet didn't get a like from STG hahahaha bamboozelled
Wouldn't a 599 be better?
Price?
Sunny Lam that's alot of money
I've checked on autotrader and there's a 599 on sale for 73k with full main dealer history so it's cheaper than that red 612
yes with manual
I think he has a baby coming in 2019 so a 4 seater Ferrari would be ideal for him
Next to the 550, probably the most underrated modern Ferrari
Daniel Maia The 612 too is hugely underrated
Because it's shite
It really isn't. It might not be the best looking but it's a fucking amazing car.
but it's so ugly
I think you mean 456. 550 and 575 are highly rAted especially Manuals.
I can never click these videos fast enough! STG+Ferrari content=winning
SOSA- Supercars Of South Africa Ferrari my friend!
I saw one of these today as I was driving in San Carlos California and was wondering what it was. It looked familiar but I had forgotten it's name. I'd like to know Tony's opinion on a 612😂😂
No you wouldn't. He can't even drive properly.
@@mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm420 have you seen him drive, have you? 🤡
@@maddog4390 I have. Take a look at the Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglio video and have a laugh.
The 612 looks absolutely terrible to my eye. It's a bargain because it's hideous.
Eon I think it's a future classic. It's aged well even if it's not very pretty. Loads of room inside too.
It's bloated, round and soft, the rear particularly. 550/575/599 or even an FF are far more appealing
True, the rear is cmpletely boring and non-appealing
It looks like an old japanese sports car on the inside and outside.. cheap
Looks are subjective.
It’s so stealth in that dark colour. Nice one
Your passion for cars really comes through in your videos unlike other automotive youtubers, keep it up man!!
I really like the 612.
One of the best Ferraris in my opinion.
And that is the way Ferrari used to build their road cars in the beginning.
A front engined 4 seater.
Hope you buy one of these soon.
I also love the 456.
Hope you check that out to.
I'm with you, I always like the 4 seater ferraris.
456 is really nice
In Black I think it looks stunning, the Red looks quite plain. The alloys and the updated interior really do help it.
go for it Sam, you are following my foot steps, I owned a 360 manual and jumped to a 612 later :) a great car fun to drive
I saw a 2011 registered Scaglietti parked down the street from where I work a few days ago which I definitely wasn't expecting considering it's a rural Irish town. I have to say it looked superb. A silver/grey colour with the chrome wheels.
599 with the HGTE option. Macari has a lovely spec one sitting for over 6monts.
I love it when you suddenly lust after a car you originally wasn't that interested in . My best friends brother had a black 612 and it was great inside and jeeez it shifted !!!! The engine noise used to set off car alarms too :)

I would love to watch content about a nice FF, that should be one to consider.
Ff would be to standard tbh
I understand, but the 612 is quite ugly, I personally prefer a more standard and more visually pleasing car than the 612.
FF's are under warranty too.
Glad you tested both cars, i was going to say there is a huge difference between 05 and 10 models. I think you can smash 20/30k miles and not lose 100k like the previous owner. Looking forward to the new car... i think the 599 is a bargain at the minute too and you can brag it has an enzo engine.

Martin Ross - The Ferrari 456 was a 2+2 model built between 1992 and 2003. It was replaced by the 612.
IMHO the 612 is much nicer.
If I haven't said it before.
Mi compadré....
You, my friend, are the truth.

Why not a 599
Tom Evans That would be fantastic, the GTB sound so nice !
But they are a bit more expensive than the 612 wich is the same price as the 360 Modena, he will not lose a penny if he sold the 360 for a 612

Brendan Fleming In France it’s the opposite lol, 599’s are more expensive than the 612.
And yeah the V8 will be always cheaper than a V12 to maintain.
No rear seats
I think the 612 is so weird and brilliant because its such a marmite car, however to buy one for £130,000 is just ludicrous because you can get a nice Ferrari FF which has 4 seats for that sort of money and is soo much nicer in every way.

A 550, 575 or 599 would be sooo amazing! Only epic content would come from that
Sam sell your 360, buy the 1 to 1 Scaglietti wait 2-3 years for the value to go up then sell it and buy a stradale then keep repeating the process!
WEIRD. i dont think he wants to go for a period without the 360, as in he will only replace it for a challenge stradale directly
I remember having the 612 as a Hot Wheels when I was younger and thinking I hadn't heard much about it. Nice to see you take a look at the real one.
599 would be better in my opinion. Im not a fan of the 612
Quite expensive
LSV10SwappedKeiCar he said the 612 costs around 130k and for that money he could also get a 599 or a 458. And i agree that the 599 would he a better option
Too common, and the boring choice. When was the last time you saw a 612? Yes the superior car but some people prefer the quirky unusual option.
Jabber 1974 id like myself a quirky car aswell but the 612 just doesnt do it for me
Bro the 599 is like $550 grands sooo its a very rare car

Another great video keep them coming your videos are more interesting and informative than many of you peers. Thanks sam
Is it possible to get a black with tan interior in my opinion would look best.
Yeah. Even better is the 612 OTO Edition - John Cena has one.
I once too hated the 612. Also earlier in the year my coworker almost bought a 612, but then ended up buying a vacation home in Aspen, Colorado. He actually made me change my opinion on the 612. Buying a OTO and it being a 2010 is a good buy for future appreciation!
This is my favourite Ferrari ever. Mainly because of that top gear race 😂
This car will forever be a race from London to Verbier ... just amazing. A one to one in Rosso Fiorano would be an amazing asset in your fleet Sam.
A manual would be fantastic!

kimi88cz yeah i like it. Its not trying to be shouty. This is like an aston for ferrari in that classy way. In the right color its a beautiful car.
I own a 2007 612. It is a great car. Cost 95k USD last year. Pozzi blue over Bordeaux interior. Also has 60th anniversary badge. It is a solid choice for a gentlemen’s Ferrari.
You could get an ff for 130k
Rahnpreet Sandhu which is 2x612s silly comment mate
Either you're deaf, or failed math class. The only silly comment here is yours...
Great channel, a mix of new cars and old. Cool classics, better than seeing different car wraps.
Singapore does not have a royal family, so there are no princes. We have rich kids who act like princes but no official princes.

engared Sad Life For Singaporeans Like Us
Well said
I know right?
My 3.8 911's road tax scares the bejesus out of me. It's quickly approaching 4.5k per year.
engared lol that is absurd! In brunei a 6.2l murcielago is only 230sgd/bnd a year for the road tax!
What are the Singapore ownership laws ?
A future classic for sure. I love the looks of this car, especially with subdued paint like black grey or navy.
599?
How does it take getting used to? It looks badass...
Ferrari Six One Twelve please #millemiglia
Tyre Reviews 6112?
6 1 12?
Six one two mate
Tyre Reviews 6 1 12 yeah nice one mate. 😂😂 Idiot.
Long term viewers of the channel will have seen me calling the 812 the Eight One Twelve a number of times by mistake over the Mille Miglia. Just running the joke boys.
I think these cars are great and I have had personal experience in repairing one off this cars and I fully enjoyed it
Look’s horrendous mate.. No matter how great the machine truly is, I personally would never be able to get over that.
A beautiful underrated ferrari
This is what a true Gentleman daily drives !! go for it if you can afford I'll be here in front of the computer supporting it.
"We charge £595 for a V8 service and £695 for a V12 Service so in that respect there is NO difference" Maths isn't his strongest subject!
Mail when you’re spending 130k plus on a car, a £100 difference in engine service is negligible. So there isn’t a difference.
A A 😂
My personal favorite will always be the 599 in red with the matte grey roof. The 612 is a great alternative to the 599 though imo, way to go Sam!!
599 is godly. 612 looks like a slightly more docile yet more elegant version.
3:55 singaporean prince?
Clover_Z exactly i was wondering the same thing
i am 20 now living in singapore and i don't even know if Singaporean Prince exist or not
Clover_Z since when Singapore have a prince?they don't even have a king and don't even implement the Royal system xD
I’m pretty sure Singapore doesn’t have a prince HAHAH
Singapore did have a Sultan in the early days. The Prince could be a decendant.
I always thought that it looked ugly but when i saw one in real life I was blown away it looked amazing. You have to see one irl to understand me.
There's a purplish one down the road from me, it's hideous. The 612 needs to be taken out back and shot. LOL
i bought one 5 years ago just to flip it after 3 months of ownership. Made a ton of profit even after heavy maintence costs
Thats waaaay too overpriced Sam. You are also a person who prefers modern cars over older cars as well so I think a 458 will maybe be a better option?
Sam, I own a 612 and an slr, despite the slr being the car that it is, iv been in love with the 612 since the first day, specially that extremely beautyfull sounding v12, specially if you have the tubi exhaust on, it sounds so good!!! If your thinking much about it, just do it, buy it, excellent car!!
Greetings from Spain!!
Hmm still prefer the 360
Do it, Do it, love your cars that you have so far.
If you can afford a 599, or a 575, or a 550, get one of those over a 612.
Sam - If you can afford a 360 and a 612 why not just sell the 360 and get a 360 CS like you really really want. As a viewer we like to see the passion for the cars you love not two lesser cars that you have to settle for.
David McAlexander to make more content ofc.......remember he is a youtuber.
All these old Ferrari's and cars are just not so entertaining to watch about, there's a reason they're old and no one talks about them anymore. I much preferred your McLaren and F-Type days, even if I questioned the mods and aesthetics you went for. Just my personal, honest opinion.
he has still got a modern car... the 718 S
Im in the same boat mate.
I much prefer the old cars over the new I think cars like the testarossa and Diablo are super bad ass
Jack Miller me too one older ferrari is nice two is to much
Always had a soft spot for these, only ever seen 1! So much class
R.I.P Paul Wallace.
Sam looking forward to seeing that on your channel. In particular hearing that V12!!
not gonna lie these have aged terribly.
Sam, those One to One have dropped down to £80's here in 2021. They are the next classic for sure.
Cheap for a reason!
The Ferrari I always loved and tends to be forgotten. Go for it, and maybe this Sam will follow suit someday
Those cars look extremely dated to me
Toby Brown The interior looks awesome still. The rear is pretty ugly tho.
Same here, always "hated" the 612 but recently it has sort of grown in me and now i think that it has aged quite well on the exterior but I also think it would not be a good daily considering that it's a huge V12 Ferrari
That looks like a poor man's ferrari... Which doesn't make sense
This dealership is so close to me and it’s always got incredible stock, often just poke my head in to see the F40 and Enzo’s about, not forgetting the P1 - thought this would be STG’s heaven 😂

You're definately gearing up to announce a Mini STG with all this 4 seat talk. Love the interior on this.
Also one of the ugliest Ferrari's you can buy.
That 612 One To One looked really great, I have to say. I know what you mean about hating the 612 when it came out - at the time, I just thought it looked bad.
The most awful looking Ferrari...
Yep a beauty how could you resist. Great blog.
Also, content is above everyone else. Please keep it going. Well done 👍
This is a great idea! Very original, well done sir
BUY BUY BUY. BUY NOW. APPLE PAY. DO IT!!!!! That black car is absolutely stunning, what an out of this world spec.
Lovely and elegant. V12 Ferraris look best in dark colours.
Great car - it is really underrated. Always loved it
Just imagine 'blatting' this car across the Alps to Italy or Monaco - heaven !
I think a 612 OTO is a great shout, design has aged well and arguably looks better now than say 8yrs ago. Don't buy one without a factory sports exhaust though.

I was watching nico’s rosberg vlog but saw the notification and men I jumped right in
Great looking and driving car car for every day and it will go up in value in3 to 5 years, especially stick shifts. Got one when they where new.

The Black 612 looks SO MUCH BETTER😎👍🏻👍🏻, both interior & exterior especially the wheels.

Please do a video of all the cars you have previously owned and what you liked and disliked about them and also what you would like in the future!
