      It helped me click format and changes from fat32 to other I had 9 hr home movie and saving it to flash drive said it was to big change the format and now its saved

    Dave, you are simply the best and the champ. thank you and just adding, that exFAT didnt work on my tv so i had to format my usub using NTFS, then all good and it did work. Cheers

    Excellent! I was trying to copy a movie file 24GB to a 32GB drive with nothing else on it and was very confused why there wasn't enough space.

    Thank you so much.. This fix worked.. when I clicked format.. it showed the exfat already selected.. even though I had problems downloading a large file.. I clicked quick format, and it worked..

    I have external USB drive format in Fat32. Fat32 disk format support upto only 4 GB file. HD movies are more than 4 GB, which can't transfer to external USB drive format in Fat32 connected to Android TV. while NTFS and exFAt can support file bigger than 4 GB. Android TV do not support NTFS and ExFat format. What is the solution.

    Thank you for the clear and concise explanation. This was driving me nuts trying to copy a 5 gig power point presentation to a 16 gig memory stick and not knowing what was wrong.

      Unfortunately many TV can only read msDos/Fat32 format of flashdrives..

I was buying a flash and faced with this problem and then I exchanged another flash same thing happened, I tried another alternative of converting my files from 21GB to 11 GB still not worked. this morning I came to see this help from your channel. ur blessed brother. already subscribed.

    Yet again Dave's Tech Rescue to the rescue! I am trying to copy Windows 8.1 ISO file from my Notebook to a usb as per the Windows instructions and if it wasn't for this video I would be sitting here trying multiple usb's wondering why they all give me the same issue but I've formatted it to exFAT and it's finally copying the file, thanks DTR!

    Thank you very much. I couldn't believe it when my 1gb memory stick wouldn't take any more than 10x of my songs put to 4ma files. Thanks to your well put video. I got the problem sorted and was relieved I didn't waste money buying a 10 pack of those memory sticks.

    Thank you. I almost didn't bother with the formatting of a thumb drive I was having this problem with because when I went to format, my options were NFTS and exFat32, no Fat32. But I did and it fixed the problem. And thanks for a nice clean help video with no overpowering soundtrack playing in the background!!!

    THANK YOU! Was trying to move an 8gig video file onto a practically empty 32gig SD card and could not figure out why it was saying there wasn't space. My videos are usually shorter, thus smaller. This was exactly what was wrong, it's moving over now. Maybe Windows could word the error message a little BETTER...

    thanks so much - helped a lot. My drive was already on ExFAT, but the allocation units size was set to 128kilobytes - i increased it and it worked like a charm. Great quick and easy to follow video

      what allocation size did you set it to? I need to get a 7gb zip file onto my usb but it's already formatted as exFAT.
