Love my Bravia 8. The contrast on that set is almost 3D like. And it's bright enough that I don't feel like I'm missing out on brightness. Well done Sony!
I bought the 75" Bravia 9 and in the UK you get a free 5 year warranty, it's the best QLED I've ever seen, plus the sound is outstanding. I own a B3 and adore the OLED picture quality, but for my usage the B9 has zero risk and is now my main display. Great video 👍🏼
Zero risk ??
@@mr.y1965 I think he's referring to burn-in/pixel degradation risk that people typically associate with OLEDs. Although LEDs are capable of burning in as well and the bulbs in the LED layer can degrade over time too
Buying Bravia 8 in UK/EU don't has XR co-procesor so... you make right decisions by choosing Bravia 9 .
To be fair, the Sony A95L vivid mode is also pretty tepid compared to the Bravia 9
Yup most OLED TVs vivid modes feel like they don't meet the vivid mode watcher requirement so to speak lol, if your a vivid watcher I think OLED is a waste of your time for the most part.
OLED is a different kind of beast💪
A95L in Dolby Vision Vivid on 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray disc 🔥
vivid mode is always horrible in any tv 😂
I use standard mode on a 77” A80J in a dark setting and it’s great.
I have had both tv's in my house and lived with them for a while. The Bravia 9 (for me) vastly outperforms the Bravia 8 with normal every day content, streaming series / movies etc. It is not even remotely close. The only reason why I could see people going with the Bravia 8 is because they play dark themed games in a dark room, but than thereare better/cheaper oled options available. The Bravia has much more impact and its color rendering is also much much better. Whites are white, not blue like on the Bravia 8. Blacks are oled like and not crushed, I did not notice a difference with Oled after switching. With HDR content, especially dolby vision, dynamic range of the Bravia 8 is just not enough en processing/tone mapping can't compensatie enough for that. With the Bravia 9 everything just looks right, in every mode, Dolby Vision, HDR, SDR, etc. Yes the Bravia 8 has better micro contrast/sharpness and you will see it when it when you play a HDR detailed demo on TH-cam. But that is the thing, when you watch a Netflix serie, stream a movie, or just watch sports/tv the Bravia 9 delivers a theatre like experience, the Bravia 8 just can't. It is dull in comparison and its colors look really off/unnatural, and that micro contrast which is impressive will not add to the experience in real life content. Reviewers don't emphasize this, because they look at this screen in filmmaker mode in a dark room and play HDR demo's or Bluray disks. People at Sony know what they are doing and are totally right in calling this their flagship. Also had the Samsung S95D and also that tv looks dull in comparison to the Bravia 9. To me the micro contrast Oled delivers is similar to comparing an 8k tv to 4k. It will not bring you a different experience, the Bravia 9 has such impressive contrast, your are reaching point of diminishing returns. But the brightness it can deliver, provides you with an all together completely different experience, even QD-Oled just can't, let alone the Bravia 8, which uses panel technique that is a decade old by now.
You make a great point, but you have to understand that most people who are interested in $3000+, ultra-premium TVs aren’t looking to optimize their viewing experience for “normal content”. They want something with the best picture quality possible to really bring out the details in challenging cinematic content.
I think the B9 is a great TV. It’s more versatile than any OLED and its “softness” compared to an OLED makes it easier on the eyes for long term viewing. But I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for most people. Either take the money you’d spend on a B9 and buy a high end OLED for that “pixel perfect” PQ or spend a fraction of the money for a midrange mini-LED like the B7 or QM8
I agree a 100%. I've seen the Bravia 9/8 side by side and they don't compare. Sure the 8 might have a bit better contrast sometimes but it looks so dim and lifeless next to the 9.
The only OLED that wowed me was The G4 and I would take it over the 9 in a heartbeat. The only thing it is missing is more brightness in full field.
Ein Mini LED bessere Kontrast als OLED hat ?? Lol...
Der S95D mit seiner matten Display ist reine Katastrophe, nimm einen glossy panel und dann vergleiche die beiden.
@@xavierwood2030Mein G4 83" coming soon...
@@mr.y1965 Ow yeah we have the armchair expert in the house :)! Never claimed miniled has better contrast. Having tried them both for weeks the Bravia 9 has a contrast level that has become high enough that it won't matter so much for every day content. The HDR highlights have much bigger and noticeable impact on movies and series. The only area were contrast would still make significant difference is when you game a lot, which I don't do. Fifa looks great on both. The matte screen is not a disaster, it makes the tv much more useful when you have big windows. We do not all use our tv in a cave. The only thing I miss from the S95D is not the contrast, but actually it's viewing angles and reflection handling.
The Bravia 9 seems to have a wider colour spectrum if you observe closely.
Bravia 8 would be best for wide dark rooms while Bravia 9 would be best for bright rooms.
Nicely done.
Kg does the best side by side comparisons.
Thanks!! 🫡
I take brightness over contrast with dim picture anyday. I can't stand seeing the obvious brightness limitations of oleds
And blue tint
@@vybo8921 what about color accuracy? too bright makes the color look washed out.
@@maj4530 Not on the Bravia 9 it doesn't. Even in the brightest of scenes (HDR or SDR), colour is well maintained at those high luminance levels. Colours are never washed out on Bravia 9.
Burn in is a problem with OLED. For those who want the best picture quality burn in ruins everything.
I love the Bravia 9, but the Bravia 8 is underrated. Great job showcasing the pros & cons of both 👏🏻
Thank you sir!
@@highdefnews my only problem with it is it doesn't come in 83"
@@claykeough7898 that's the point, why my G4 coming soon...
The problem with the Bravia 8 is that it's just redundant. You can get an A95L for a similar price and it's simply better in almost every way and the B8 also doesn't stack up to any of the other high-end OLEDs that came out this year.
@@thenonexistinghero Not sure about your region, but the Bravia 8 is significantly cheaper at every size in the United Staes.
The Bravia 9 is a great tv, but I still prefer OLED and will be grabbing the Bravia 8 77". black friday / Christmas

@@mr.y1965 while I can spend $6000 for a TV, I simply refuse to spend that much on something I will replace in 5 years.
@@mr.y1965 Et bien c'est toujours un bon choix il est supérieur au Samsung S95 D
I like what I see here from both. But if I can only pick one then I'm going with the 9. That's just me though. That's what I like. Not saying anyone made the wrong choice
There are no wrong choices in this battle the winner is the one you enjoyed more.
My only concern with the Bravia 9 is when there are stars or tiny white details, they do not show up like they do on the Bravia 8 or A95L, because the processor is trying to avoid possible blooming. On the other hand, my concern with the 8 and A95L is that the shadow detail is better on the Bravia 9. Unless you are watching a Bravia 9 next to an OLED and comparing them at all times, I think a person would be happy with either technology. Maybe a decision could be made based on if your TV will be in a light controlled area or not. Who knows...I am still trying to decide, while using my Pioneer Plasma from 2005. 😂
the stars thing with the brightness pumping has been fixed with the latest firmware update released five days ago on the bravia 9.
Idk man I've watch tons of space-related content on my OLED TVs. Never have I once gotten up and counted the number of stars I see on the screen or evaluated how bright they are compared to a mini-LED. Bright stars on a dark background is little more than a party trick and doesn't really impact my overall enjoyment of any normal content. What I really want is higher full screen brightness with no ABL, better HDR impact with large bright highlights (like the sun), better shadow detail, and less stuttering in slow-paced motion. I'd happily give up a little bit of brightness in some stars maybe some minor blooming in order to get all that.
@vikingsfan2218 it wasn't individual stars over luminating. It was on the 9 when credits would roll on a star scene, a huge area around the credits/stars way over brightened to prevent blooming. Reviewers thought it was intentional, cool to see firmware fix it.
thats a great VS video. Thank you KG.
Can you please do a B9 vs B7?
It would be nice to see what extra performance the B9 gives.
Incredible how LCD tech has evolved throughout the decades and is so versatile and relevant, even compared to premium OLEDs of today. I just hope that miniled's superior brightness doesn't force OLED to push itself over the limit, in order to compete. I think it's okay to have different tech that has its own strengths and weaknesses, nothing is perfect.
Oled in my opinion will always be better than ANY LCD no matter how bright or good they say it is....I remember back in the day having a PLASMA TV.which was the OLED TV OF THAT DAY BEFORE OLED..AMAZING PICTURE...
I watched the whole Video....Fantastic Picture Quality and great comments. I need a new camera 😁😁
I like the Bravia 9 over the Bravia 8
Whats your take on the WHITES on the B9 out of 1 to 10
Great video , thanks for posting , could there please also be a comparison between the sony a95l and bravia 8 in professional mode ? There are no other youtube links sharing this comparison , and i would be soo forever greatful if you could since no one is able to give me any answer on this , thank you
I have A90K for my PS5 use. Think I can hold on to it for few more years.
Tec with kg which one your prefer s90d or brav 8 ??
What I see is the B9 shows a lot better detail in the shadow areas...for instance, @4:22 look at the right side of the king at the wood and gold trimming...it is dark on the B8 clearly seen on the B9
Just wrote a similar comment and read this 😅. I always thought the oled lose near black detail, but have this punchy look. Bravia 9 has a more natural look, but less contrasty
Great time on the stream today KG!
For sure it was a good discussion!
Hey KG, it would be nice to see a before-and-after tweaked version of the Bravia 8, either from the Cinema or Professional settings. This would mean what it looks like out of the box and what it could look like after making adjustments. All this is subjective, of course. I'm considering the Bravia 8, and one concern was the black-crushing effect. And is there anything else to consider when optimizing the TV viewing experience? Primary usage is for Movies and Streaming. Best, G
Why not Bravia 9 VS. A95L
Great comparison KG thank you.
I am planning on upgrading my 75" Sony to >80". Do you plan on comparing the PQ of the much cheaper B7 to the B8 at these sizes? I heard the 85" B7 has alot more non-linear dimming zones compared to its 75" counterpart. Also interested in knowing if there's a huge difference between these two models audio performance as the center chanel since I will be pairing it with my HT-A9. Thanks.
hi i am from India , bravia 8 or a95l almost hit the same price ... please let me know , which one i pick ?
A95L all day if for almost same price . A95L is brighter , is a qd oled and is Sonys best tv above Bravia 9
Brother can you do 9 vs A95L...if you have already and I've missed it, apologies.
I didn’t have the chance to see the Bravia 9 in person, but I chose the QN90D over an WOLED or QDOLED when I replaced my old LG E8. I really prefer the mini led technology when executed correctly as in the case of Samsung. At the time, the Bravia 7 was definitely inferior to the Samsung mini led as it relates to contrast, reflection handling, off angle viewing, motion. Fan fact, the Bravia 7 and 8 were demonstrated side by side in the store I visited in a way to show a clear advantage of the 7 over the 8 in colour volume impact. However the Bravia 7 couldn’t manage any dark scene without muddling everything into a grey mess.
Good comparison KG. You really have to experience the Bravia 9 in 85” thoroughly though. It’s almost like a completely different TV than the 65”. But I know it’s tough to get the 85” beast into your home for extended critique, but it’s something you should experience for a bit.
I’m sure it would of been a nice experience however it’s really not that much different people always say this when it comes to any TV it’s just bigger I have talked to people who have seen both 65” and 85” that I trust, it’s just more immersive because of size it’s not technically brighter (measured the exact same) and it still has the same downsides as the 65”.
With due respect I suggest to check out the 85. Your view might change. Place it side by side to a g4 or a95l .
@@TechWithKG Don't the larger sizes of mini-LEDs have more dimming zones which would lead to better contrast and better blooming control? I think that would contribute a lot more to the viewing experience than just better brightness and more immersion
@@TechWithKGPeople on the forums have measured 940nits full screen and 3400nits on the 85 on top of having more than a 1,000 more dimming zones. Just sitting on that alone should tell you there’s a difference. Trust me!
Waitimg for my Sony Bravia B9 75-inch to be here Wednesday.
Hands down the Bravia 9. There are many times the B8 is dull and colorless, no detail and the B9 looks fantastic. The B8 gets brighter highlights sometimes for compensation, but that is the nature of Oleds. Not only that, but when you make the adjustments to your liking, the B9 has many iterations that will be better to set than the B8. You all crack me up thinking this is almost a heads up battle or that the B8 wins. LOL . The B9 is definitely the winner. Even Sony says it is below the B9 in the TV chain. If you want a fair comparison, you have to place the B9 against the A95L or the G4, not the B8. Now we are in challenge territory. The G4 is definitely better than the B8, and in many circles many pick the B9, others the G4. They are that close. Then we get a few below stating the B9 has contrast issues or is for "softer viewing". You could not be more wrong. This I will admit, if you have a ho ho for Oled's get the A95L or the G4. If you must get the B8, alone in your home, not against the 3 better TV's I mentioned, it will look fantastic as it is not compared and has a great picture other than the blue tint. The B8 77 is 3000. The B9 75 is 3500. Black Friday and they will be close in price. The A95L and the G4 are a jump up over them so money wise, it would be the B9 and B8 battle. No question, the B9 is the better choice. And do not forget the ABL in Oled, a pain of they kick in.
Just got a B9 after returning a second LG G4 due to panel issues. I agree with what you wrote; as much as I love that OLED contrast, when comparing the two at the store, b8 and b9, B9 just had more to offer besides deep blacks, which are still great on the B9.
Would you go with the 77” Bravia 8 or the 75” Bravia 9 for a basement setting with light control.
I’d say the Bravia 8 if you can watch in a mostly dark environment most of the time between those
What percentage of content today is hdr? Just out of curiosity how does HDR on an OLED compare to SDR on a mini LED?
SDR is much dimmer on Oleds than it is on LCDs
@@caclclo Yeah, HDR unfortunately tracks the EOTF curve which helps OLEDs.
It would be nice to see SDR on a MiniLED vs HDR content on an OLED - something bright like Venice Carnival in 4K HDR by Jacob + Katie Schwarz.
That would allow the Bravia 9 to flex its muscle on the entire screen while the Bravia 8 would use HDR aka as its "savior mode".
No one compares SDR vs HDR. I've done an A/B comparison which is otherwise impossible especially with the OLED laptop I have (no brightness limit) and I was absolutely shocked.
Even SDR on LED vs SDR on OLED would be interesting to see.
And of course you can't use movie or professional modes which equalize settings at the expense of zombie-like picture quality.
@@SLICK8116 I have no clue what that means but I do like the fact that you click like on your own posts 🙂
What do you advise me between the Sony A95l or the Sony 8?
le A95 l est un cran au dessus (qd oled )mais beaucoup plus chère ne pas oublier que l.A95 l est le meilleur de 2023 !
Thanks 🙏 for making this video. I’m a big Sony fan. Now to save up my pennies for the 8 77”!
Glad it helps, I have had a A80J 77 inch myself for a few years and I absolutely love it! I have no doubt the Bravia 8 will be a great 77” option.
My choice would be for the 8 over the 9 but the 8 is not an option since it doesn't come in a 85"/83" option. I'd really love a 98" Bravia 8 option under $7k but it appears I will have to settle for the 98" TCL QM851.
Easily the B8 wins over B9. I'd still get A95L 77" over both of them, they are already all expensive, so why not go for the king while at it!
Hello KG, how can I match my LG C2 to Samsung tv settings that you use on your Samsung. I want to match it in terms of color, in game mode
Black levels are fucking crazy, how is this possible with mini LED at Bravia 9 ? A miracle
Me gusta más el Oled, el Bravia 8, el Qled, se ve también muy bien, pero el Oled tiene magia.
Engineering background the A95 L is good but most OLED TVs vivid modes feel like they don't meet the vivid mode watcher requirement so to speak. I actually think the Bravia 8 gives you an overall better picture quality than the Bravia 9 and you are paying $1200 less, for the Bravia 8. I guess if you want to save money and you like the 9, go with the 7. Honestly, thank you for helping me make my decision, for Black Friday, Illl get a Bravia 8. I also hit the like button for you and subscribed.
"One of the best sound systems I've ever heard" is a bit of a statement for B9. Maybe good to be slightly careful with statements such as that and add the word "in TVs". I'm sure you meant that, but some buyers may take it literally. Thank you for the content as always, KG, very good stuff and keep at it please!
I thought it would be obvious I was talking about in TVs lol but you’re right it’s a fair point. Thank you 🙏🏻
It's tempting to want to upgrade now that OLED is making bigger brighter tvs these days but Costco replaced my disappointing 85x90j that had banding issues and terrible motion smearing with the 85x90L model and I'm astonished at how well it performs!!! It takes some tweaking to get that contrast right but man it's an excellent TV and too close to the performance of the 7 and 9 to upgrade to those. 🤙
The X90L is a blooming monster.
@@armylrs2391 Not mine! 🤙
I always thought the oled loose detail on the near black even after tweaking. Even in this camera footage, I feel the Bravia 9 has more natural look and more detail on the near blacks but loses the punchy look of the oled. Is this how it feels in person?
I bought me a Bravia 8 I bought it for my PS5 and PS5 Pro. But I didn't know this stuff before. I hope I didn't mess up.
@TechWithKG
What would you buy?
Here i can buy the Samsung 85 QN95C for €3200 or the 85 inch Bravia 9 for €3900. I watch alot of movies but i also game alot.
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work
Its not a toss up and both excel in different areas. QN95C is similar to the 8K QN900C just its 4K but it shares many of the same qualities as far as local dimming zones. I compared the QN900D to the BRAVIA 9 so you can use that as a baseline, BRAVIA 9 to me has a better backlight system but has some bugs controlling it currently both are pretty good overall. BRAVIA 9 looks like the brighter TV and more impactful in HDR while the SDR performance is still brighter but it didn't look nearly as good as the QN900D did in SDR not holding onto color as well as the QN900D did. I also felt like the QN900D game mode was better overall in SDR and also in HDR and it has more gaming oriented features. You can't really go wrong with either QN95C or BRAVIA 9 find out which one has the features you'd rely on the most.
How about X90L?
Oled only for me
G4. 83" 🎉
Anyone who watches in vivid mode doesn’t deserve a decent tv
B9 does not come in 55/65 inches sizes here. So, I think B7 is overall better option for me considering it delivers more brightness compared to B8 and A95l also.
Sony is launching B9 65 in Europe end this year finally, they changed their mind
I don't think it will happen in India. Anyways, will not be able to wait till that time too.

Dark scenes look better on the 8 and light scenes look better on the 9. I saw them next ro each other at a store.
Unrelated question. I know G4 game mode has been fixed, I just picked the c4 and not noticing any drop off between brightness using filmmaker and game mode. Looks like they fixed game mode on all models now, have you tested the c4 game mode?
Yeah they didn’t there is a drop off still
@@TechWithKG Nvm, you're right seeing a drop off in color brightness. It's not much but it's there.
Honestly, I don’t think I could afford the Bravia nine so I would probably pick up Ravi at seven. Much more impactful highlights with HDR and just in my opinion a brighter better all around picture. I have a Hisense u8h I can compete with anything that Sony has inky blacks like OLED no blooming at all to speak of great impactful color and great HDR experience
OLED has better image but burns it's screen if you let an image frozen like on those crappy menus from consoles and othet rhings, while QLED doesn't burn and is always perfect
oled is unbeatable
Is the Bravia 8 something that is supposed to be A95M?
No. It replaces Sony’s midrange OLED from last year. Next year should be when the A95M releases.
In this case it would of been A80M if they stuck to their naming and an A95M would of been BRAVIA 10 likely but they decided to carry the A95L one more year, A95L is superior to both BRAVIA 8 and 9.
Can anyone tell me if they truly leave their tv in HDR or if they set to auto-detect HDR? My Samsung S90D takes a second to switch between SDR and HDR content on everything from TH-cam videos to other streaming apps or shows. It’s so annoying that I switched off HDR. And I notice that I can see much more shadow detail in SDR while still getting most of the specular highlights for a much more balanced image. Are you all really watching everything in hdr?
After looking at both Bravia 9 and 8 side by side in detail in the shop I went with the 8 for my home setup - yes the 9 is defo brighter and the sound that no one mentions has a lot more base - however my living room is darker most of the time and 65 inch suits me plus I find at night times on any tv I always change picture setting to darker screen to avoid being too bright. Overall I think Bravia 8 is best all rounder darker small rooms but Bravia 9 is best for bright larger rooms
Bravia 8 is an old oled technology with low HDR peak brightness. The A95L is still the best QD Oled from Sony.
Bravia 8 is the best kept secret of 2024.
I’m ready for an 85” so I’ll most likely go for the B9, even with some of the lackluster reviews I’ve seen. Have had a few Sonys and each have lasted years and years and 15k plus hours, my 940e still going strong today after almost 8 years. I know it’s not really possible to review longevity, but that’s an important aspect in my decision on what manufacturer I spend my money with. My brother has went through 3 of the “other brand” hi end tvs in the span I’ve had the 940E.
For me it was brightness need, my living room is almost all windows around and beside the TV so during the day and OLED would have washed out

Sony hat viele Probleme mit Android.
The only problem I have with the Bravia 8 is the fact that it's like 95% the A80L repackaged with the only apparent differences being brightness, and their 'Prime calibrated' mode. Sony has done next to nothing on the innovation end here for this year's offerings, yet they're still charging their customers top dollar for their tvs.
Briva 8 looks natural unlike the 9. OLED all day and all night. Not close.
Why does my Bravia 8 not have the smooth gradation setting? Banding in HDR is noticeable and I want to set smooth gradation to low like I had on my A80J but it's missing.
How is the B8 compared to the A80J ? I have a 77” A80j and I don’t know if I should upgrade to the Bravia 8 77”.
Both inferior to the King, A95L.👑
Bravia 9 is clearly just a overglorified enhanced X95L that can't compete with Oled, let alone QD Oled.
The only advantage of a 85" B9 over a 77" A95L, price being equal, is the extra immersion and Brightness in a bright environment.
My room is light controlled, so anything else than QD Oled would be damn foolish.

hows b9 compare to your q90t
Well the Bravia 9 is a notable improvement with local dimming and peak brightness. They can look similar in some content but most things the Bravia 9 just wins. Oddly enough Q90T wins black bar performance lol.
I bought a Sony OLED around 3 years ago and the tv picture was fantastic but it now has burn in. If you are person who wants the best picture quality burn in ruins everything.
Bravia 8 wins hands down.
Great content I have seen the bravia 9 in person got play with the settings and brought my own 4k flash drive , for me no where near as good as my Panasonic MZ2000 and my A95L take infinite contrast over brightness every time .
It's not really infinite contrast on an OLED (or QD-OLED) though. You've fallen for marketing BS lol. For infinite contrast, there must be no limit to how dark it can go on the low end, and no limit to how bright it can go on the high end. There'll never be any TV of any kind that will ever have true infinite contrast. It's impossible.
Don't recommend a TV to people that like to watch in vivid mode, instead recommend a local optician...

Every single one of them to some degree dims down if static images are present for a long time while watching, chances are throw you’ll be so immersed that you don’t even notice when it happens. This is known as ASBL.
@@TechWithKG its very noticeable on my 95l. especially sports. drives me nuts. nuts enough to send it back and try the b9
Just purchased the Sony Bravia B9 75-inch for my bedroom 😂
Im looking to not refinance my house to buy the best looking picture.
Sony XR A95L is the real king
Not sure what you mean about the B8 having a lot more detail. Both on my LED Sony Z9F and on my smartphone the B9 simply has more detail the majority of the time. Also no idea what you mean by contrast, because... LED generally has much better contrast than OLED because that quite literally means the difference between the darkest and the brightest the display can offer. Contrast ratio is a different matter, but not a single consumer OLED out there comes even close to having the contrast that the B9 offers.
Why the need for so much brightness? Take care of ur eye sight guys.
And btw, at times it looks like B8 displays more brightness than the the B9.
Plus, contrast and color, the B9 looks pale, washed out, lack of color and deep blacks.
I disagree. I saw many scenes where the B8 was dull and colorless. The brighter B9 looked so much better. A few scenes the brightness highlights pop in Oled, compensation I guess. They trade blows but to me the B9 looked better most of the time. The B8 has the blue tint. Yuck
@@vybo8921 U sure? I have my B8 and dont look with a blue tint, or green. And is way more better than the colorless and full of bloom B7 i tried before returning it.
B9 i can only judge by the video and what i saw at the store.
can always decrease brightness in b9. i get more eye strain watching my darker oled. the oled brightness is what your stuck with. b9 u can go either way
you should have compared viewing angles :)
No need Bravia 9 viewing angles aren’t anywhere near the level of an OLED. If viewing angle is a concern don’t look at LCD imo.
Contrast is king
Okay i guess i will stick with my Lg g2 for while
G2 is solid no need to upgrade yet
Oled always
I just purchased a 77-inch Bravia 8 yesterday. I was side by side at the store with the Best Buy guy, an older dude. While looking at both models, I asked, "What am I really getting for an extra $2,000?"
He suggested I go with the 8, and I said yes.
After bringing the TV home, I found that the picture was bad until I turned off power-saving mode and all that stuff.
hi, I purchased an open box 65" Bravia 9 from Best Buy. Bring it home for evaluation hoping to keep it, but I noticed some strange behavior. So I returned it. Wanted to know anyone else out there is experiencing the same issues going into any of the pictures settings to make an adjustment sometimes they would take affect and sometimes they would not the sliders move. Let's say Gamma or the 10 point white balance or the individual color white balance and sometimes they would not have any effect also the advanced contrast enhancer would take affect. Sometimes it would not, it would not stay connected to the Bravia connect app in my iPhone 16 Pro. I uninstall the app multiple times and reinstalled it reconnected it and done a factory reset on the TV if anybody has experienced the same issues please let me know. Thanks.
i believe that was fixed by an update
In my country iran there is no warranty so oled is not possible for me i have to choose x95l or bravia 9
I Hate politicians
Bravia 3: am I a joke to you?
Ehh. Turn light less on Bravia 9 and you can get same picture as oled.
Bravia 9 in the 85 is absolutely magical!!
I agree. I've been using mines now for over a month, and I absolutely love it. No buyers remorse here.
What is the motion like for sport or movies?

Are there people out there who actually watch in vivid mode?
I don't watch in vivid mode personally but I would say we are definitely in the minority id guess probably close to 75% of people who watch TV watch their TV in vivid or standard mode thats even on the low side.
Standard yes, a lot do, but vivid? I've hardly seen anyone who does that.
Bravia 9 is a mini LED, not QLED
Actually it is both. Mini LED QLED
Too bad you didnt add also bravia 7 in comparison
7 is very close to the 9 just less advanced zone control, worse viewing angles and a little less brightness.
The Bravia 9 is not a QLED it's a mini LED TV NOT QLED
Wrong because it is both 😂
@@TechWithKG yes your right sorry I was wrong 👍🏽
