The Impressionistic opening Adagio, so musically ahead of its time, is downright hauntingly beautiful.

Thanks for all those little unknown treasures you make us discover. At least a place to escape from the eternal Eroica and so on. What are the soloists and orchestras waiting for to perform such works to get out of the monotony of their concerts.

Unusual but quite attractive - deserves to be listened again.

The synchronization with the piano and the other instruments is spot on! This is an amazing ensemble that really understands how to make music together

This is a cool piece, very beautiful and fun! I had never heard of this composer, and only discovered this since a double bass player I work with will be playing in it next month in Seoul. A great discovery, and such a wonderful combination of instruments, almost like a tiny orchestra!

The score (in MS) is now available at IMSLP. According to that score, the tempo of the 3rd movement Menuetto is Più presto. The Trio section is marked Allegretto.

I'm sorry to say that the concerto by Krogulski is now blocked worldwide but better that than a closed channel.

To whom it may concern... now concerto #1 is not blocked any longer and Johann Rufinatscha channel uploaded about one year ago.
There's even a word première now of concerto #2 in the channel of pianist Artur Słotwinski
Hope these are good news for your subscribers

Kuhlau, thanks for this attractive - and rather unusual work. I've never heard of a "piano octet" before, though I had heard of Krogulski. At first, I thought this might be a recording from that enterprising Polish label, Acte Prealable, but their catalog does not indicate that they ever recorded this piece, Can you tell us where it comes from? It doesn't sound like a radio broadcast.

abdul7591 This is actually a polish radio broadcast but with very good sound. Performed in Warsaw, 8th September 2014.

This music is very brilliant and vivid in the style of Hummel.

The final movement second theme is very familiar. I think it's a speeded up version of someone's bassoon concerto, but I can't remember whose. Hummel? Weber?

Belle composition. La prise de son est bonne mais il est dommage qu'un post-traitement d'optimisation des dynamiques limite exagérément les écarts entre pianissimo et fortissimo.
