Wow I literally finished my run last night of Electric only in FireRed. I went full on in training Electabuzz and ended with it in the 60s with my others in the 50s. That helped a ton with all the ground types. Also I utilized Rain Dance in the Blaine fight, but he really isn’t that hard. Physical Jolteon is crazy I wouldve never imagined fully investing in that

I try to keep everyone around the same level when leveling up, but as the final battle showed, it wasn't necessary and maybe having some on the lower side might be more interesting Yeah, raindance was so obvious I literally forgot haha. Even helps with thunder too! Attack is very strong in gen3, because of the ghost type, if your team could struggle against alakazam or exeggutor. Also agatha is quite nice, but thunderbolt might still be stronger. I don't use calculators Thanks for the comment!
FR/LG really should've included Gen 2 & 3 Pokemon in the main game as it would've really added a lot of diversity. Lanturn in particular would've been extremely useful with STAB on Surf & having ice beam
Yes, so true! The biggest issue I had was electric being too one-dimensional. Actually, now that I think about it, Lantern would make the run very easy, since at face value, all my issues came from not having a Water or Ice Attack.
