James Melton - Beyond the Sea (1952)

Beautiful version of this song. This song was a hit for Bobby Darin in 1960 and has been recorded by others such as Benny Goodman and Mantovani. The melody came from the French song, "La Mer" by Charles Trenet. Lyrics by Jack Lawrence. Released on the 1952 album, "Latin Rhythm Songs".

Looking for information on Mr. Melton and his car collection brought me here. A shame he died so young.
