I really appreciate the camaraderie between you two docs. It is so refreshing hearing two good friends who are both human and humane; you dispense helpful information and you aren’t shilling product. What a rarity on You Tube! Thanks
Thank you both for being unselfish conduits of information. Hopefully people will take said information and apply it to their specific needs. Now, before someone jumps on you...IF you are allergic to any item mentioned, IF any medication that you take precludes these dietary suggestions, IF you are diabetic or suffer from any physical malady that precludes these suggestions then do not eat that food. Again thank you most of us here truly appreciate your efforts.
Thank you Denise These Docs are trying so hard to share important info to help us heal. They do not deserve abuse. People need to take responsibility for their own decisions and choices. These Doctors are sharing their expertise the complainers are not their patients, the Docs wouldn't know their histories, allergies, etc. I appreciate all they give us freely of their time, knowledge and humor. I'm so glad I recently found their videos.
"Every time we eat a head of lettuce we get promised a nice sunny day." LOL right out of the gate. What you two are doing is so unique and so wonderful. Never change.
I have eliminated all sugar, fried foods, refined foods and junk, my inflammation has gone away, no arthritis pain and I feel great overall. Good food make you feel good.
Thanks so much. I've been attempting a Whole Food plant based regimen for 8 months. I've lost over 10 kg without any sacrifice in terms of feeling hungry. I hope I can continue eating things that are more natural and better for you.
Gentlemen, I thank you for doing these videos and appreciate their information. I am sorry that people who can't say something nice, say anything at all. I follow an anti-inflammatory diet because of Lupus and kidney damage. Green beans are an excellent source for so many things. If you don't like them, learn too.
Excellent. I was taken to hospital and put on a pain killing and antibiotic drip fro gout arthritis but 20 days later having tried the substances advised by these two Doctors I am now much better and feeling absolutely wonderful including walking without a stick ...great work ...keep it going!!!
This is such a funny topic in my situation. Years ago we really tried this for almost 2 years because I have so much pain. During that time of eating extra healthy I just got sicker and sicker with constant lung issues and even had an MRI for bleeding lungs. I was sent to pulmonologist, allergist, immunologist and was on antibiotics over and over again. Then I had a week of not eating well and started to improve. So, after Googling, I discovered that most of these foods are high in salicylates and I am allergic to aspirin and Advil. As I said to my doc all I had to do was give up eating healthy and I've been breathing far better the last 9 years.
Watched this during our dinner of rainbow colored salad with salmon. Going on month 4 of drastic diet change for inflammation and love the results! Thanks for the very informative video! Love your jokes.

Good advice from two well educated and experienced in the medical, and nutritional field. All the foods are excellent in reducing inflammation with the exception being tomatoes. As a night shade product they are acidic and causes inflamation in the body.
Hi JB. So studies have actually shown that tomatoes are not inflammatory per se. They may not be tolerated by some but they don’t raise your CRP or ESR or IL6 all measures of inflammation
Every morning I have hot oatmeal with frozen blueberries and frozen raspberries, a few tablespoons of low-fat plain yogurt, a drizzle of honey and a small handful of almonds or walnuts. YUM. Never get tired of it. Dr. Zalzal just shines he when presents his fun facts. Love the food and nutrition videos. Super interesting and helpful. Thank you.
Hey Docs, it’s really refreshing to see you both again. It would seem I’m on the right track as I’m eating most of what is on your list for reducing inflammation. I am not good on eating berries though. I do love grapes, I was gobsmacked to learn they can help in reducing inflammation though. I love to eat salads, but I was told not to eat tomatoes if you have arthritis. Well my shopping list certainly looks a lot more healthy, since watching your video…I’m especially pleased to hear about grapes, so much so I’ve added several bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon to my basket🤣😂👍🏽👍🏽from London UK😉
@@wordswordswords8203 thank you. I’ll do that. Your the second person to mention that. My neighbour, who is 85 told me to do that too. Sadly I didn’t listen, but I’m deffo gonna add it to my Shopping list right now. Cheers & Merry Christmas🎄✨✨💖✨✨
My doc just found my insertional achilles tendonitis, prescribed an inflammatory gel for my feet, and highly recomm to change my diet. I did not know where to start on changing my food! Thank you for this vid. Watching from PH 🇵🇭
You have made me a happy girl. I had read that tomatoes were bad for inflammation unless you peeled them. I live on Gazpacho all summer while fresh tomatoes are plentiful.
I really enjoy your videos. I find them informative, honest, and very helpful to fill in a lot of little details that my doctor usually does not have time for me to ask about. Thank you.
I sure do appreciate you two! You have shared so much wonderful information. My TKRs went so much better because I went in informed, thank you! I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, taking gabapentin and tramadol, and would like to learn how to feel better, and stop taking both (or at least reduce the amounts). I figured I would need to learn how to eat anti-inflammatory foods, and so this video is so timely. Again, thank you.
So glad to find this follow up to inflammatory foods. It’s always good to know what TO eat in addition to what NOT TO eat. I really enjoy your fun approach to serious topics.
Thank you so much for this video. As a 5 time cancer survivor, I am always looking for ways to improve my health and be my healthiest me. Love your health videos. With our escalating obesity rate (86%) in the US due to ultraprocessed foods, people need to be educated in a humorous, every day language & down to earth manner. Sometimes the patient can become lost in the medical lingo during office visits. That's why I've had to educate myself in digestive issues (due to too many surgeries & chemo radiation), in order to keep up with my Dr recommendations. Keep up the fabulous work.
I just found you and I will follow you both indefinitely! You give out such helpful information. Thank you for taking the time out from your busy schedule.
Love the stuff you guys do. Informative, straight forward advice and discussion. I unfortunately just suffered a quad tendon rupture and found that segment very helpful. Pretty much what my surgeon told me. Good solid stuff! Happy New Yera and keep the material coming!
Thanks for all those food suggestions, I’m desperately now trying to think up a recipe to include all those in one meal 🤣. I can’t take anti inflammatories so this could be a life saver for me. Thank you for always being so informative yet amusing, what a combo you two are! 👏🏻

I want to thank you both for your brand of videos... I am a cancer patient of the stomach who is about 10 months post op from a gastric resection due to excessive reoccuring tummrs. My last ultrasound discovered that I had tumors that spread. I have a cyst on my left kidney as well as a growth on my gallbladder as well as on my liver. Would I be wrong in thinking you two guys would be the life of fun an chaos in the hospital especially Brad with Paul being the voice of reason keeping brad in line it's good though we need LAUGHS in hospital well done Docs
Great information Docs. These foods are on my food list. If you’re into Juicing, you can juice a few oranges with a slice of ginger and add fresh turmeric (add the black pepper and that activates the curcumin). Delicious and it’s such a beautiful color.
“I don’t own a helmet factory. I don’t profit from helmets.” 😂😂😂 You tell ‘em, Docs! Some people have simply lost all sense of reality and common sense. I think you and your videos are fabulous. People should be very grateful that you are willing to take valuable time out of your busy doctor schedules to make these videos. ❤️
😆 OMG … I just love your channel. Yes, it’s the ol’ gal in Victoria, BC…again…. “raving” about your video’s. They are informative, cheery, supportive, make me chuckle, make me laugh and provide great insight on a number of varied health topics. I’ve turned several peeps my vintage (61 11/12’s) towards your channel and it’s a no brainer. Thank you for giving us the subject matter expertise you do … 🙌
You guys are hysterical! Listening to your educational info is great because you are funny! Aside from that, I agree with what you are saying because I have learned these things for myself the hard way! 😳
Very informative! My issue is high potassium. Most or many of the anti inflammatory foods are high in potassium. I have diabetes but no kidney issues. So confusing what to eat with diabetes AND high potassium. Ugh
I love the list you gave us! That's what people need, a good guideline for things that are good for them and will help with ailments! And I love dark chocolate and cherries!🍒 You've made my day! 😘 I eat most of the fruits and vegetables you listed but I've also been looking for a way to get more vegetables in my diet. Your wonderful list has provided the information I need to do just that! 😚 And I think more people are eating more vegetables now to supplement their meals with meat prices rising. I do eat more frozen vegetables because they're available year round. I eat more fresh fruit as it comes into season. Again, a wonderfully helpful video with lots of valuable information! And a little ironic why the nutritionist couldn't be here. 😉 Thanks for sharing another great video! 🍒🍓🍉🫐🍎🍑🍊🍍🍌🍏🍐🥝🍇🍅🥦🥒🥬🥑🧄🌰🥜🌶️🥕🥥
Matcha tea is great if properly prepared. It is just ground green tea leaves thus is very concentrated. Also get the good stuff from a tea house not the bulk stuff sold by would be heath food stores. I think I will go make one and enjoy.
Hello again Doctors! Amazing timing. I started taking a supplement called Moringa three days ago. I remember an older gentleman in PT who urged me to read about it, he said it reduced his OA pain tremendously. Recently I’ve been hearing people sing the praises of this miracle herb and decided to try it. I think it is amazing. I’m enjoying a reduction of my pain levels and feel incredibly refreshed when I wake in the morning. I would love to know what you think about supplementing with Moringa. Thank you again!
Awesome video as always!! Really do like the way you guys deliver easy to understand information for us lay people 😆👍. Since you are always asking for suggestions, I actually thought of a topic for you to consider. That is the supplement Creatine. I’ve been using it for about 8 months now after some research on it, and it has significantly improved my cycling performance. I ride almost 5-6 days a week, with a variety of efforts during these rides. My endurance and overall muscle strength has improved tremendously. Maybe a short vid on the benefits of Creatine for both young and older folks . Cheers
I am just coming out my first autoimmune bout. For the past month I've only wanted to eat fruits and salads and drink only water. Some how my body seemed to know what was best for me.
I kept hearing dark medical humor is a thing and the joke “Johnny ate a lot of this and now he’s standing on the roof thinking he’s Superman” just proved it! 😂 I’ll definitely get this humor since I’ll be starting my new job working in the hospital next month.
What about water?? Ditch the sugary stuff and drink water. Water with honey, lemon, cayenne pepper and ginger, bring to a boil and drink as a tea or allow to cool and put in fridge, surprisingly good
Ditch the sugar then you mention honey? Lol if you are diabetic eat 1/2 teaspoon honey, guess what..1 hour later your sugar went up 50%! Honey is still sugar.

Your videos have brought me understanding of certain procedures that I have had as well as upcoming... Thanks again and keep them coming!
You are very welcome Ej and all the best during any future treatment you may have. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Thank you for sorting out a confusing issue ..and making it fun and not so “dry” ....

Would I be wrong in thinking you two guys would be the life of fun an chaos in the hospital especially Brad with Paul being the voice of reason keeping brad in line it's good though we need LAUGHS in hospital well done Docs
Hi Kym. That’s funny. Depending on the day we both play the voice of reason. But we do try to keep it fun! Thanks for watching and subscribing
Great information Docs. These foods are on my food list. If you’re into Juicing, you can juice a few oranges with a slice of ginger and add fresh turmeric (add the black pepper and that activates the curcumin). Delicious and it’s such a beautiful color.
Good call Isabel. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Great info! I recently tried bay leaf tea to help with my hay fever allergies, it helped reduce my nasal inflammation…thanks 😃
Interesting Mary. Thanks for watching and subscribing
You guys Rock like a boulder! Thank you for the info.

Thanks so much Phil. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Love your advice , it’s made such a difference in my medical conditions, thank you, thank you
“I don’t own a helmet factory. ❤️
Thanks LoveABun. The pandemic has made everyone very cynical. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Very, very helpful. Loved it.
You guys are hilarious while being informative.
Glad you liked it Dee. Thanks for watching and subscribing
First time watching. I love you both, ALL doctors should tell their patients to eat these foods instead of prescribing pills.
We sure try Sarah. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Thank you for giving us the subject matter expertise you do … 🙌
Thanks for spreading the word Cheryl! Thanks for watching and subscribing and sharing!
Thanks for the facts. Very much appreciated.

Love both of you and the info you provide.
Thanks so much Charles!
You guys are hysterical! Listening to your educational info is great because you are funny! Aside from that, I agree with what you are saying because I have learned these things for myself the hard way! 😳
Glad you liked it Paige! Thanks for watching and subscribing
Very informative! My issue is high potassium. Most or many of the anti inflammatory foods are high in potassium. I have diabetes but no kidney issues. So confusing what to eat with diabetes AND high potassium. Ugh
Yes that can be tricky. There are medications that can help. Maybe a chat with your doctor. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Ugh...I have the same issue. My doc put me on a med that has decreased my K. It is so tough to figure out what to eat for diabetes and high K!
I love the list you gave us! That's what people need, a good guideline for things that are good for them and will help with ailments!
And I love dark chocolate and cherries!🍒 You've made my day! 😘
I eat most of the fruits and vegetables you listed but I've also been looking for a way to get more vegetables in my diet. Your wonderful list has provided the information I need to do just that! 😚
And I think more people are eating more vegetables now to supplement their meals with meat prices rising.
I do eat more frozen vegetables because they're available year round. I eat more fresh fruit as it comes into season.
Again, a wonderfully helpful video with lots of valuable information!
And a little ironic why the nutritionist couldn't be here. 😉
Thanks for sharing another great video! 🍒🍓🍉🫐🍎🍑🍊🍍🍌🍏🍐🥝🍇🍅🥦🥒🥬🥑🧄🌰🥜🌶️🥕🥥
Hi Vickie. Love your display of fruits and vegetables!! Thanks for watching and subscribing
Matcha tea is great if properly prepared. It is just ground green tea leaves thus is very concentrated. Also get the good stuff from a tea house not the bulk stuff sold by would be heath food stores. I think I will go make one and enjoy.
Very nice Bill. Thanks for watching and subscribing
You are both amazing, love your sense of humor 😊
Thanks Kathleen. Thanks for watching and subscribing
You guys NAILED IT again! GREAT JOB!!

Thanks for the chuckle 😂😂😂

Can’t believe you guys aren’t at 1M yet!

Hi carlorocky. We don’t know much about Moringa but glad to hear it’s helping you. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Berries leafy greens carcifous vegetables green tea fatty fish omega 3 🌶 chia seeds hemp seeds flax seeds grapes 🍇 turmeric with black pepper tomatoes 🍅 extra virgin olive oil 🛢 dark chocolate 🍫 cherries 🍒 nuts walnuts garlic
That’s a great list! Thanks for watching and subscribing
Cheers
We can add it to the list for sure James. There is some good evidence for improving performance and weight gain. Thanks for watching and subscribing
I am just coming out my first autoimmune bout. For the past month I've only wanted to eat fruits and salads and drink only water. Some how my body seemed to know what was best for me.
Just have to listen
I kept hearing dark medical humor is a thing and the joke “Johnny ate a lot of this and now he’s standing on the roof thinking he’s Superman” just proved it!
😂 I’ll definitely get this humor since I’ll be starting my new job working in the hospital next month.
Well glad you liked it Faith! Good luck at the new job. Thanks for watching and subscribing
Read House of God it is hysterical medical dark humor
Love all the helpful information with a sense of humor. You guys are great!
Thanks Shelly. We try! Thanks for watching and subscribing
What about water?? Ditch the sugary stuff and drink water. Water with honey, lemon, cayenne pepper and ginger, bring to a boil and drink as a tea or allow to cool and put in fridge, surprisingly good
Yummy homie. Thanks for watching and subscribing and sharing!
Ditch the sugar then you mention honey? Lol if you are diabetic eat 1/2 teaspoon honey, guess what..1 hour later your sugar went up 50%! Honey is still sugar.
