@@GerardiAviation I just flew Play Airlines out of Stewart to KEF and on to AMS. No complaints, they did a pretty good job flying an A-320 across the Atlantic.
You should know the service in delta premium as presented on this video is no more. Delta upgraded its long haul and transoceanic services in early April 2024 and now features a full meal with with salad, appetizer, China plated main course and dessert. And glassware for the entire flight, premium snack baskets presented chair side during flight several, and an upgraded pre landing service.
I’m glad to hear that! I took this trip at the end of Feb. 2024. Happy to hear they’ve upgraded the service for PS as the food was nearly identical to that in comfort+ and economy… thanks for the info! 😊
Thanks--made me confirm my seat choices for a trip in September... wasn't sure how row 20 and Delta One ahead of it was divided... passing on the bulkhead seats (don't mind if someone ahead of is reclined--it brings the IFE closer to my old eyes!). Interesting that for September, they only show three 2x2x2 rows in that class when selecting seats, not three plus an extra middle 2... as the odd one out between my wife, daughter, and I, I get the seat in the middle section, so we played it safe with Row 21--no bulkhead fore or aft to worry about... I'm guessing that his was a mid-week flight given the number of empty seats... It looks like Delta is eliminating them as our original Tuesday fight (626) was just converted to a connection via ATL but we were able to move to the same non-stop flight on Monday (bonus day in Hawaii!) and kept the same seats...
I’m glad the video helped! Yeah I think the flight is switching from a 764 to a 763 so that might account for the one less seat going across. Also yes, it was a midweek flight
That was interesting and fun! I’ve flown out to Hawaii (all four main islands) four times over the years, but always on Hawaiian Airlines. Of course, as a lifelong New Yorker, I’ve been on Delta countless times. One of my old friends is an HA captain and, after trying many times to coordinate our schedules, we finally hit the jackpot and he flew us (me and my adult children) home. I actually asked him, in my worst NY accent, “are ya sure ya know howda get there?”
That’s pretty funny 😆. Glad you finally got to try Delta out of the islands. I’ve only been on Hawaiian once and it was just between the islands but I really want to try them on a longer flight
I flew I Delta airlines first class. The seats were worn and old looking and the flight attendants were not very friendly and I'm a friendly person! Very Very disappointed !
I actually think the 767 is one of the most comfortable planes, even in economy. It’s far better than the way airlines squeeze in 3-4-3 on the 777, and 3-3-3 on the 787.
Thank you for another excellent trip report. Delta is a great airline!!
Your welcome! I’ll be switching it up more often in the coming months, there will still be Delta videos but I need to add more variety in there

Great trip report on Delta 767-400 JFK-HNL. I hope you enjoyed your short trip to Honolulu.
Thanks! I did enjoy my trip, I definitely want to go back tho as there is always more to see in Hawaii
@@GerardiAviationI’ve been there for four weeks, and I still feel like I only scratched the surface.

@@GerardiAviation I’ve flown on Delta since the 1970s.
@@wotan10950 oh, I read that wrong… sorry 😅
Reverse ops at HNL also! Very cool.
Yeah, I was surprised we landed that way… got some great pics of ANA’s A380 landing on the same runway a couple days later
I’ve never flown on Delta before. Plan on flying them to JFK from LA
They are a good airline, wish they had food on cross country flights tho
Wow that was an empty flight!
Yeah, I’m surprised it was so empty being the middle of winter, I figured people wanted to leave NY for the warm weather
A very rare landing to the west. Kona winds.
@@wizerdjuice9589 it was like that the entire time I was there
@@GerardiAviation I do remember that time and west for about a week. We can go a month or two sometimes more without west landings.

The seat thing really depends on the aircraft and when it was last renovated, but that sucks about the flight attendant thing
Although BOS HNL is a 763 which is HORRIBLE
Hopefully the 763 they use will be updated
@@GerardiAviation They use a 76K, which is "updated". Seats offer 0 privacy versus 764. Will avoid for sure.
@@jasoncassady6286 yeah, the 764 is definitely better

@@wotan10950 Oh I agree! I should've specified that the D1 product on these 76Ks isn't a new seat and is vastly exposed. The 764 would've been cool.

Empty flight. Lose lots of money
Yeah, although Delta one was completely full… I’m sure they made a lot of money off of that
@@GerardiAviation probably upgrades
@@gaguy1967 maybe, I’m not really sure. I wasn’t looking at the upgrade list cause I don’t get them 🤣
