Hi Taylor & Jeff! I'm a wedding filmmaker and photographer so I've been a part of so many weddings. The biggest piece of advice is to completely enjoy your wedding day. It goes by so fast and you shouldn't have to worry about anything day of. If you don't have a coordinator, at least designate a trustworthy friend or family member that could make sure everything is great day of so you are not bogged down with details and alleviate so much stress so you can have the most memorable wedding day!
What you both said about being gay and not picturing yourselves having a wedding is exactly how I feel. I really appreciate you both sharing your stories and your lives as a gay couple, its a great example for others like me, thank you for that! Best of luck with the wedding!
I like the idea of an anniversary / honeymoon trip, a year after the wedding. Walking your moms down the aisle is a wonderful idea. Taylor, I don't consider myself an old queen by any means( I'm a retired firefighter fer Chris' sake), but at 72 Iv'ed learned a couple uh three things. Your idea of a cocktail party ahead of the wedding so that people can connect is terrific ,but you might want to think about including some sort of hint in your welcoming speech, if you're going to give one , that will urge people to introduce themselves to strangers, and share stories about you and Jeff. People tend to stick to their own kind at these sorts of things. Finally, I don't konw what your moms look like, but when you were talking about the music and dancing with them, I flashed on the scene and it came to me that it will be beautiful, emotional , and a sight that won't soon be forgotten. Looking forward to part two .
RobBee To answer your question, yes you can. It largely depends on the church and its endorsing religious body. For example, my Presbyterian (PCUSA) and they allow same-sex weddings to be performed, at the discretion of the pastor. Episcopalians and Lutherans fall into this same preview as well. I believe the Unitarian church allows performs same-sex weddings too.
@@rajdeepbanik4056 Because a lot of religious institutions don't allow us to get married and the States is historically backward when it comes to minority-represented rights?
Just thought I’d share this with you as I felt you might find it interesting: My husband & I had been together for 18 years before we got married 11 years ago. We didn’t think it would be different either. What really surprised us was that our friends and family treat us differently now. Not that they where ever judgmental or anything but that actually getting married made us a more legit couple. Very surprising after being together so long! So you never know!
Congratulations! Watching and hearing about how you're planning your wedding day made me feel very excited and happy for the two of you. I don't know your faith backgrounds, but I want to share with you some reflection questions that might be helpful for you as you plan for your special day. Logistics and taking care of your guests are very important, but I also hope that your wedding day itself will also be an opportunity to deepen and nourish your love for each other. It can be liberating to plan a gay wedding because you have so much room for creativity to make it your own, but also daunting because of the lack of tradition. I am a high school teacher and I teach a unit on healthy relationships. One of the assignments is to write a relationship creed. These are the reflection questions I gave them: What is the purpose a relationship? Friendship? Dating? Life Partner/Companion? What’s special about our relationship? What am I willing to commit to? What am I responsible for? What do I want and need from this relationship? What are my hopes for this relationship? What do you do in this relationship? How do you see yourself living together? (Ex. WE raise kids, WE workout together, WE love the other person in a way that no one else can, WE lift and celebrate each other’s (our) success, WE contribute to each other's (our) happiness...etc.) How does this relationship create joy and love in our lives? And these are just some additional questions for you: What are we celebrating on our wedding day? How can our wedding deepen and strengthen the love in our marriage? What am I committing to (if anything)? Is our wedding more than a celebration of our love? I tell my students that they have to interview a couple they admire with these questions before they write down what they believe a relationship should be. May the planning process and your wedding day help your love to grow and flourish. :)
Don't film your wedding, just enjoy without the stress of looking good for the camera or trying to make the wedding look fun for the video, just enjoy it!!!
For surname, I think hyphenated is the best route for many gay couples and shows equality as its foundation. Can’t wait to see part 2. You 2 are clearly meant for each other...that was evident from your first video. So happy for you guys (and Parker).
You two are so adorable together!! Love watching your videos and Tik Toks. Loved this video to get away from everything going on right now. Just remember to have fun with it. It’s your day and not anybody else’s. Keeps the stress down. ❤️❤️ love ya guys!
I worked for a florist years ago. A bride had picked peonies as her flower and getting married on Memorial Day (the time peonies bloom). When the peonies arrived from the flower wholesaler only a portion of them arrived. The boss told me he would pay me $3 a stem for all the peonies I could find. I drove up down the alleys and would prune a few stems off of people’s bushes. Also cemeteries are a great place to find peonies. Need less to say I was a dumb young poor college student.
It’s great Taylor and Jeff are getting into this .... Taylor strikes me as someone who is very grounded, comfortable in his skin and really knows himself. Jeff is creative, the showman but maybe more self-conscious even if Taylor can be more shy. In the end - whatever you do, don’t worry about getting everything perfect - make your day so you can enjoy yourself and not worry about the details. So many couples don’t remember their wedding day. Surprising but true.
Planning a wedding is a lot of work but please, please make sure you choose enjoy the day! Be prepared: at least one thing will go wrong, be out of place, not go the way you thought it would. Ignore it; laugh it off. Only the two of you will know it's wrong. Slough it off an go have the best day of your lives!
Hey, guys are you going to video tape the wedding? Am looking forward to highlights of the wedding. It's going to be just fantastic. I'm so excited for both of you!
I am a retired florist, over the 50 plus year I have done hundreds of wedding both same sex and opposite sex. I have 2 pet peeves. 1. to large boutonnieres or bows on boutonnieres 2. wrist corsages for mother's, and yes you can put corsages on a strapless gown if the florist is creative and uses magnets instead of corsage pins. Good luck have fun and enjoy the journey.
You guys are so cute. As these kinds of life events are likely in my future, I appreciate you all answering these questions and sharing your journey! Congrats...I’m sure your wedding will be a blast!
I don't like planning parties so I was very happy my Husband and I went to the City Hall in a city in Florida while on vacation. My anxiety was rising just listen to you guys. But Good Luck guys, it sounds like you will enjoy the journey leading up to the wedding.

100% agree with Jeff on the honeymoon. My husband and I got married in March 2019 and we decided to focus on the wedding. We waited a whole year to plan out our honeymoon and this year at the end of February we decided to go on a five-week honeymoon all over Europe. Unfortunately due to the current circumstances we had to cut our honey moon in half and come back to the states. Nonetheless, it was something to look forward to after the wedding and now we have another vacation to look forward to once this pandemic is all over!
Oh my god I can go on forever relating to your wedding planning lol Taylor, I too, was scared of my husband planning some singing surprise at the wedding. He never told me or admitted he had something planned but on the day of the wedding he did sing me a short song and although I hated being the center of attention it was very sweet. Planning our wedding was one of my favorite things to do as well mostly because once the day comes you get to see your vision come to life. At first we weren't sure if we wanted a day of coordinator but we ended up getting one and my god did they make a huge difference. There is so much that goes on the day of that it is virtually impossible to check on everything coming out the way you wanted while trying to enjoy your day. Our wedding planner did fit in like a 10 minute slot before reception started to show us the actual room before anyone went inside and that moment was super magical, especially since our photographer followed us in to get our reactions. With that said, I really encourage you guys to be in the moment that day because it will be hard to take it all in! Maybe take a quick moment during the reception and step back to appreciate all the love and support you will be receiving from your families and friends. It's truly an amazing feeling! Best of luck planning your wedding and can't wait to see pictures/videos!

Have you already found your minister/wedding officiant. If not where will you be looking. I could recommend one that is Ordained and can officiate in all 50 states.
Odd question, but is Jeff related to Gigi Goode on RuPaul's drag race? They resemble each other, and have similar mannerisms. Just curious. Be sure to tell us, eventually, where we can send gifts, and where you're going to register. Hopefully that will be open to your fans.

Thank you for giving followers something other than worrying about getting TP. Life after Corona. I'll be glad to see a recap on TH-cam like Tom Daley and Lance Black's wedding.

Have you already found your minister/wedding officiant. If not where will you be looking. I could recommend one that is Ordained and can officiate in all 50 states.
Any chance you guys can share your pinterest board so we can follow along with ideas you like?

Who are you wearing? Would love to see Jeff the entertainment. Both of you will be gorgeous!
Odd question, but is Jeff related to Gigi Goode on RuPaul's drag race? They resemble each other, and have similar mannerisms. Just curious. Be sure to tell us, eventually, where we can send gifts, and where you're going to register. Hopefully that will be open to your fans.
