The song choice kinda makes this feel like a trailer for a comedy movie. Like I was waiting for the Taken King to make a witty remark about destroying the galaxy and then wink at the camera.
Looks like they got story going now. Maybe by next Christmas when they bundle all their DLC together again, I'll buy it. Wouldn't want to run out of content or pay the heavy price like people are now, that have owned the game from day one.

I kinda agree with both of you. I understand that bungee made the halo franchises and it was very well made however we are talking about destiny . Destiny was overhyped from the beginning. That's very common. I'm not implying it was bad because I still play the game dominating the crucible with my thorn!
I can understand the skepticism, but saying that Bungie can't make games at all is silly. Destiny is a great game, there's just not that much to do as the game is now. Hopefully TTK will fix that.
And a sidenote, for people who thinks it is a lot of money to pay for an expansion, consider that we're not paying a subscription to play the game. 40$ is still equal to about 4 months of gametime in other MMO's. If people thinks it's too much, they've chosen the wrong hobby.

You can buy the digital expansion on what ever consul you play on, the only requirement for the Taken King is that you have to own Dark Below and House of Wolves as well as both dlc's play into the Taken King.

Imagine if this game had an in depth story like Halo that went into the character development with the main characters and the enemies and because Destiny takes a social approach similar to Destiny Imagine how cool that would be if the story was told similarly to the way The Borderlands story is told with quick boss introduction cut scenes, on screen dialog boxes when people are talking to you along with an image of who is talking, and actual in direct story cut scenes and possible AI safe houses with protective artillery and defenses and AI's could be found around the world and give you interactive missions I bought the game because I thought all of this would be in this game Instead the only reason I keep the game is because the Game mechanics and the game play is amazing PERIOD what a lifeless only online multiplayer game to me Destiny is literally no different from a free to play game that got massive funding before it came out in order to achieve high quality textures and pace ships you can even use and are only to edit the loading screen LOL!
Little things like speaking along unique and dynamic music for situations you find you self in would make the game soo much better...... alot of what I said above might have been considered but this game was also developed for PS3 and 360 so
