    Wow thank you so much for recipe! Just took it out from the oven and turned out perfectly soft and golden. I used regular flour instead of bread flour and made it in a regular mixer. I have been trying for the past week to achieve a soft texture and tried so many recipes on youtube and this is the only one that turned out to be a soft bun instead of a scone lol. Thank you once again👍

      Esther John yes. I used regular flour and no milk powder. I made it in my kitchen aid on very slow speed with hook attachment and timed it exactly like she said. Also added butter in the last 3 minutes

    Hi , I wonder why nobody asked about the most important- how much of water roux is needed for each type of bread? As in, how did you come about 125ml water + how much bread flour to pour into sauce pan? Thanks for answering that

    • @MsJennsKitchen
      @MsJennsKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, if you look at the description, I've listed quantities used. The roux is 125ml water + 25g bread flour, cooked until thickened. Then all of the roux goes into making the bread!

    • @bagyardbagyard4547
      @bagyardbagyard4547 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ms. Jenn's Kitchen hi , my question was - how did you get that measurement of roux ? How do I know how much roux to add into the main dough?

    • @MsJennsKitchen
      @MsJennsKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a kitchen scale. Bread recipes need to be super precise, so it's best to use a mechanical or digital scale (they're inexpensive and an indispensable tool for the kitchen) to weigh it out in grams versus using spoons or cup measures. Then I used ALL of the roux in the bread dough. Hope this helps, good luck!

      @@MsJennsKitchen hi, Ms. Jenn. What we want to know is if there is any computation to know the ratio of roux for each recipe.. say on your recipe you'd used 25g of bread flour and 125ml of water for every 350grams of bread flour. It's easy to follow your recipe but we want to know if we need to follow any formula to know the ratio of roux to use

    Any thoughts if this could be used in a bread machine? My bread hardens after a couple days, and looking to add some kind of preservative.. maybe pectin?

    • @MsJennsKitchen
      @MsJennsKitchen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I just use my bread machine to make the dough, but if you wanted you could definitely bake the dough in the bread machine too (except it would be sliced bread and not rolls :)). I guess that depends on the humidity of where you live, but usually my bread stays soft for days! No need to add a preservative, the tangzhong water roux acts like a gel to preserve moisture in the bread already! Hope this helps, good luck!!
