Nice giltheads /Dorada.great to see more of them each year in uk waters, there great fighting fish, my best is 7lb 3/4 from over here,on bread, there’s so many ways to fish for them float fished,lures, swim feeder, sea type ledger,and surf casting methods,are you going to upload a video on them? Hi Darren, the footage in this short is from a video already on the channel (th-cam.com/video/AqN1NM6QV9w/w-d-xo.html)! The main method I use is light legering in the surf when fishing off the rocks but I’m definitely looking to broaden my horizons a bit with them this year. Cracking species, absolutely love them! I will definitely be doing some more gilthead vids in the coming months 😁 Ben
@@HookpointFishingMagazine hi Ben i,ll check that video thanks, they seem to be a better average size in uk waters, than in the mediterranean spain here they eat them all sizes it might be why, theres still a odd big one but there hard got. the really big xxl giltheads most come out from atlantic sea cadiz,huelva, portugal, each year, in the 7kg mark ive seen on 9kg on youtube from down there beast of gilthead. it will be interesting to see what other atlantic/ mediterranean species make there way to uk with the global warming ,you guys will love the yellow mouth barracuda and the dentex if they make it to uk as they feed hard in cold/ winter some figthers and great on lures etc. good chattin you tightlines..
