Hope you don’t mind me giving you a few tips on hayle pool area 😎 polarised glasses are a must as when you look into pool and outside you will see clear sandy spots I’ve had a few giltheads from there casting onto sand in pool I move bait every now again to feel if it’s still on clear sandy bottom if so you have good chance off getting a bite I’ve found medium to big tides best on full moon building on outside I cast to clear spots onto sand again if tide is running hard
I cast. out 3oz whiegh
I’ve had some good size gilthead on outside over low water just as it starts to push in about 3 hours up round high tide say about hour before move up to pink bouy area about 200 yards up from it found you can get a lot takes there just as tide is easing off up to hour down hope this helps you for your nxt trip 😎👍
Thanks for that Martin tight lines mate
Better luck next time Hak
Unlucky Hak. Sometimes we don't catch what we hoped for at the start of the session. Just keep it up and you should produce the goods. Gilts are notorious for coming through quite quickly at a certain stage of the tide. If you are not in the right spot, with the right bait, at the right time it can be a bit hit and miss on the Cornish estuaries.
Thanks for watching mate 👍
I’ve fished Hayle pool a lot m8 I’ve caught some strange fish there but I have never had a bream (myself) out of Hayle pool but it’s always worth a try
I have seen people catch bream there but it’s very very difficult fishing from what the older fishermen and women have told me.
I can now confirm it is.
I have lost what I’m pretty sure was a good bream there over a year ago
And I hooked it on peeler crab
Shrimp works well also
Would be happy to pass on the little info I have if I see you down there m8
Thanks for the comment mate, I've fished the estuary last year for 6 hours and not had a single bite, after speaking John off fish locker he said I ll have a good chance catch gilthead where I was fishing but unfortunately failed again I know gilthead fishing is at its best early hours of morning but that was the only chance that i had. I'm not sure if I ll go back to Cornwall again but if I do I ll definitely give u a shout and pick your brain 😂 thanks for watching and taking the time to comment really appreciate it 👍
Hi bud I’m local to Hayle I strictly lure fish so always at a disadvantage but very frustrating to see a bait angler not succeed locals have always told me to fish under the crab net pontoons so maybe when you down next like and subbed tight lines
Thanks for the comment David, if i ever come down that way i will definitely take your advice and fish under the crab net pontoons, thank you for the like and subscribing really appreciated.
