Ik moet alle mensen die reacties geven wel gelijk geven, dat klikken van de shifter en dat stuurtje met lampjes geeft een erg halfords gevoel, erg goedkoop. Maar waarom zelf schakelen? Ik rij zelf een 125i, en als ik mijn voet door de weerstand heen druk in sportstand kan de automaat veel sneller en beter schakelen dan dat ik het zelf zou kunnen doen. Op de weg waar je nu rijdt vindt ik het ook erg fijn om snel te rijden en doe dat ook regelmatig. Doordat de weg niet zo glad is als een biljartlaken besef je ook echt wel dat het erg hard gaat bij volgas. Blijf je mooie video’s maken, ik kijk er graag naar. 👍
@autotopnl your quoted MHD figures seems to be incorrect.
With MHD stage1 you get more like 420-430hp, an not „400hp“.
Also Topspeed is ca 300-305 km/h GPS with MHD stage1, and not just „275 kmh“
…275-280kmh (GPS) is what you get already with stock power of ca 340hp

Yes, that's correct!
The car is barely accelerating above 270 kmh if you zoom into the video when going full speed, and after 8'00". I doubt more than 275-280 will ever be reached, unless downhill.
420 maybe with 102 Octane on a cold day. 98 is more likely 400HP
That rear suspension on M140i is so ridiculous jumpy, it is so noticable, that driver jumping a lot.
Had that with mine; rear shocks had died after only 60000 miles. Perfect excuse for Bilstein B6’s all round which transformed the car. I kept the stock springs but I’d advise putting different ones on that aren’t quite so firm which would smooth it out even more. Powerflex bush inserts (yellow) also helped to calm that down.
@@a20axf I tried to change springs on mine and it was better but still too uncomfortable for my pregnant wife even with adaptive dampers. I was forced to sell it rather than do more experiments with suspension :) I can feel from video that heavy impacts with standard suspension. But overall, it is rocket car and great memories, maybe B6s with softer springs are the win solution. Enjoy
Is it the same story with M240i?
Or is specifically thing of M140i? I'm trying to decide which platform to choose for stage 2+ and figuring out what are the differences in handling department.
@@Toca-rejsing Hello, as I read, m240i is better because of more weight over rear suspension and doesnt have so firm rear as M140i. But I will rather test it carefully before buy.

Wonder how my MHD stage 1 E90 335i would fair against this 🤔 could imagine it’d be very close, but that 100-200 seems a bit mental I can’t lie
100-200 is definitiv ein guter unterschied zwischen m140i und 335i , der b58 kann mit downpipe und stage 2 noch deutlich schneller sein.

the main thing thats made me think about it, is how quickly this m140 seems to slow down after 200, because mine keeps pulling like crazy and i reckon it would touch 300kmh. it might just be because im watching a video rather than being in the car, could also be aerodynamic related especially mine being a saloon. Need to get an IRL comparison really dont i haha

Mooi om de kant van de natuurbescherming te horen. Dit is een belangeijke bladzijde in het stikstof dossier. Er ontstaat de indruk fldat er wel stikstof problemen zijn maar 1) de vraag is of en welke natuur je eigenlijk wil 'redden' (alles is al door mensen beinvloed), 2) wat zijn de nadelen (wat zijn de consequenties en 3) hoe ga je dat doen (de huidige stikstof modellen blijken daarvoor niet geschikt).
Ik zie uit naar gesprekken tussen vertegenwoordigers van de verschillende disciplines waarin dit alles samen kan komen in een inhoudelijke en constructieve discussie.

angeblich eine 9,78 gefahren... mit 98 er / 102 er map stage 1 fährt man doch eher 8.7-9,2 je nach sdrive / xdrive / schalter/automatik
My M140i mhd stage 1 goes 9.19 sek (93oct/ron98). With ron95 9.7 sek.
If you correct the time in this video then it's 9.8 sek.
@@dominik4744bei dem Auto im Video ist es bestimmt wie bei meinem Auto der nimmt warscheinlich Zündung raus. Ich habe s58 Kerzen und neue Zündspulen verbaut dan hatte ich eine 9.3 zur Info mein Auto ist ein 440xi automatik 98er map mit 100 im Tank. Hat vorher auch eine 9.7 ...

Why would you shift so early? Just let it shift on its own. There is so much top end that you could be using.
Actually he's consistently shifting at around 6.500rpm which is exactly the point where the B58 torque curve drops off. In a sprint, the M140i is a little faster when shifting at 6.500 then letting it fully rev out. So actually that extra 500-800rpm top end doesn't do much, other than delaying the shift into the power band.

You're missing the point, it doesn't shift by itself at 6.500rpm. The point of shifting at 6.500 is to keep it in its optimal power band.

Have your tried that in a manual? 100-200 is mostly gear 3
Gear 3 on a manual will end at ca 160kmh.
But 100-200kmh in 4th gear (without shifting) almost same time as doing 3rd and 4th
Pretty sure mine goes over 100mph in 3rd as I just stick in 3rd when overtaking a line of cars. Stage 2+ manual does that quite quickly too.

Bmw use oil temp
110C is the B58 cooling TARGET in low power demand conditions.
If you request power from the engine (full throttle) it will set the target to ca 90 C
Those are not the original paddle shifters. I think they are designed to sound like that on purpose.

Hi, do U know how much the stock clutch on the manual m140 can take? I guess just stage 1 is fine, but anything above isn't safe for the clutch and gearbox?

You can't deny that most B58 cars are very very fast. But like Tesla's it is so effortless that it gets a bit boring sometimes. I miss the good old 90's and 2000's with 'extremely fast' 300 hp FWD cars and 400 to 500 hp Supra's, lol.
