- Capturing great street photographs of familiar subjects is always a bonus, especially when captured close to home. In this video, Jeff shares one of his favourite film photographs taken just a short walk from our house.

Lovely collection of images, as always. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching
My tribute to where I was born was the film, FUNNY BONES, which I wrote and directed in 1994. Your photos are great, sir!
I’m going to check out Funny Bones (we were married in 94 and spent our honeymoon in St Annes/Blackpool). I’m already familiar with some of your other movies (we are both huge movie buffs here). Thank you again. 🙏😊
Jeff what a superb collection of images.
Thank you. Sarah takes credit for most of those!!
Really loved the vibe of this video, and the images were fantastic! A worthy reminder that we don't necessarily need to be far from home to make great images.
Thank you 🙏
It is a superb photo, as is the panoramic of the same location you also shared. I remember seeing this on instagram or Threads a week or 2 ago and it really was one of those images that stoppped my scrolling and really made my look.
Thank you, Andy. Yes, we often put out images that we are working with on Instagram.
Beautiful shots 👏
Thank you
St. Annes! My home town!
Very nice photo and back story
Thank you!!
WoW!! Another great episode with great images!! Thank you for sharing!!
I love the before/after showing there....interesting to see how you did the edit and how you draw the eye where you want it.
Thank you...and Happy Mardi Gras, from New Orleans!!

Thank you!! Glad you liked it.
I liked the one at 1.30, though smaller in the frame the beach huts still pulls the viewer in. Loved the music too Jeff.
Thanks Iain
Very nice
🙏
I really enjoy your photographs and the narrative you share. And I love that you’re back to film. On that journey myself. I can’t seem to get any depth the skies in my film pictures, even using a yellow filter (with Tri-x). Any tips?
A lot of it is in the final editing. I’m toying with putting a video together on editing film scans.
Lovely image, that light is wonderful. I get what you mean about beach huts in the winter, they have a certain appeal at this time of year. I've spent the last few years shooting coastal towns over the winter period as they have such a different feel - I was on Hayling Island yesterday in the lovely rain! How are you finding the switch to film now?
Enjoying it. Weather has been awful up here though. Normally I’d easily shoot two rolls a day. Now I’m struggling to shoot one roll in two weeks!! It won’t stop raining!!
@@WalkLikeAlice Oh, I know that feeling. It's been throwing it down here as well!
Erm, ackshually. You shouldn’t edit your film photos…..is probably what someone is bound to say! Great shot and love the edit. Another banger!
Damn. Better not upload next weeks video then!!
Beautiful photography. What film did you use in the M6?
Ilford XP2 for this shot. 🙏
Excellent choice.@@WalkLikeAlice
@@lensman5762 Yeah it's probably my favourite but it's getting really pricey in the UK
The irony is, that it is manufcatured in Moberley which is less than 10 miles from where I live in Manchester, yet you can get it a lot cheaper 5000 miles away!!!@@WalkLikeAlice
Beautiful image, but the post processing is a bit over the top.
I have a question for you. Do you think Don McCullin’s images are over processed?
The huts have just has a reprieve I hear
A reprieve?
