    Todor, just bought the course, but I'm having an issue following how you got the "Recommended setup" for the hind legs at 21:03. There you have two bones in the foot, and no pelvic bone... but at 16:54 you only have one bone in the foot. You also have this in the final rig blend file for the dog. Wondering what happened here..

    • @CGDive
      @CGDive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      At 7:57 I already align the hind leg in the "recommended" setup.
      At 16:16 I then offset them just to show another *possible* setup but at 18:29 I say that I prefer the previous one. Then I go through the Undo History and undo many steps until I get the previous setup.
      Also, check out 18:44 where I explain why I chose the "recommended" setup.
      Let me know if this makes sense. I think the "undo" portion threw you off but the tutorial does not skip any steps so it should all make sense.

    Thanks for your tutorials. That's really good to learn auto-rig pro. I have two questions from the videos with animal rig.
    I am trying to rig a dinosaur, (raptor shape) with Auto-Rig pro. I used a dog armature. I thought it's close enough to modify.
    Two problem I encountered.
    -Bank bones? The one you placed behind the heel. The raptor's forefoot is more like hand. So, I did disable it, then whole arm is gone. Couldn't find "Bank" option inside limb option. How do I disable those without disable arms?
    -This is the biggest issue. I finished placing bones, I clicked "Match to Rig" It made mess. The new control bones don't align to the model. The new control bones looks a dog shape. So, looks like Auto-Rig still using some reference of a shape of dog, and a shape of a dinosaur is too far from a dog, and looks like Auto-Rig got confused? Or, do I missing anything before I click Match to Rig?
    Could you tell me how to solve or work around plan? Thanks in advance

      It's not easy to say because I am not sure what you did exactly. I may literally have to watch over your shoulder to say for sure :)
      But I'll be working on a dinosaur tutorial with Auto-Rig Pro in the near future!
      Also, I am going to release a detailed video about bird rigging next week (wing video coming today!). Birds evolved from dinosaurs so there are a lot of similarities. I hope it will help!

    What scale is your dog when you imported? I noticed .obj was one option, but no .fbx. When I brought in the obj version it was HUGE, because autorig pro's rig(dog option) was SO TINY! :) how or did you correct for this?

    • @CGDive
      @CGDive  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always try to work in "real world scale". I am not sure what the size of the original model was. If it was too big/small I probably re-scaled it. It's essential to do these checks and fixes before you start rigging. Fixing things after the fact is always more demanding.

I made a mesh, but my doll has an open mouth, if I remove the bones as an incoming textbook, how should I make a closed mouth? The second question of animals in what format to export to the UЕ4 engine

    • @CGDive
      @CGDive  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to rig the dog with its mouth open. If you want to close it before rigging, that's a relatively simple Edit Mode or Sculpt mode task. You need to learn Blender :)

    Hello. After I match to rig, the armature bones are appearing together with the control bones. Even after skinning, the bones are appearing together with the generated rig. • @CGDive

      I am sorry but I don't understand the problem.
      "the armature bones are appearing together with the control bones" > this is what is supposed to happen with Auto-Rig Pro. Could it be that you have Rigify experience and expect Auto-Rig Pro to work the same way? Is the result you get different than what is shown in the video?
