idk why but i find i get longer throws if the tailwind is right to left vs left to right which i heard a lot of pros say they think left to right is best..?
If you are throwing on hyzer the right to left tailwind can often be better 👍 For turning distance lines, the left to right tailwind usually works a bit better
Hey Nick, which of your videos should I start with if I want to be more conscious of throwing well with less power? I've had some good low power throws which felt like quick "touch" shots that go just about as far as my harder 350' drives.
@@pineapplesaucedaboss for that I’d recommend watching BlitzDG’s “swirlybird” tutorial on his channel 🙂 That will give you the smooth motion and timing you are looking for.
Yo, I finally threw 700, I threw 723 on a mostly flat field, downhill maybe 3 feet maybe less. I finally started doing good 360s and had a 17 mph left to right tailwind, and a max weight g star boss. It feels almost like I was pulling in to get more centrifugal force right before I threw the disc like how you pull your off arm in to generate momentum, but with my throwing arm and pulling it across my body. Idk if that helps, but I am having a great day.
did you play before you got fit? i played in high school, and lifted, but it was PFN and i didn't know anything. fast forward and i'm no longer strong, fit-ish, like not fat, but not strong. i'm curious if lifting helps any or if its more form and training. i would imagine strength doesnt hurt, curious gains tho! 🤣🤣 great looking video, music, look. well done!
@@pawninteractiveNEWS thank you! Fitness improvements can only help you in disc golf, and strength training will help in general. Form will still be king but everything works together synergistically 👍
I'd say poor form can't be overcome with strength, but strength makes good form even more powerful (provided you maintain flexibility). Not to mention strength helps with injury prevention.
Hopefully him and I will be in the same area before too long so we can do it! We've already talked about it in person and have each other's phone # to plan things
