It’s ironic, her sparring Terry’s parents led to Terry becoming Batman who eventually “killed” the Joker, so that act of mercy brought her the justice she had always wanted for her father
Her character was amazing to look back on. Phantasm has one major advantage over Catwoman, she has better detective skills, Catwoman honed her skills to feed her kleptomania, Phantasm trained for revenge honing her skills to be a master assassin who literally designed her costume to mimic the avatar of death, the grim reaper. She is basically what Batman would have become if he had let vengeance drive him to kill.
I love this movie and the most nuts scene is when Andrea has the joker knowing of explosion is coming and all he did was laugh insanely not caring that he could die

Fun Fact! After this movie, in the animated series, Batman stops trying to "save" the villains from their issues and simply beats them down and imprisons them. He lost his hope to stop being Batman and just embraced it fully.
Considering the Harley he tried to saved multiple times just came back to bit him and eventually helped Joker mentally traumatize Tim then yeah he was on the right track.
