This is like eating your favorite cereal with spoiled milk.
I think Elinor Donahue is the only living member of the cast (2-19-21) who was an adult during the show's run. Also, Don Knotts is from Morgantown, West Virginia, a town about 18 miles from me. In fact Morgantown has a Fife Avenue.
As of July 23, 2022 Elinor Donohue is still alive. I was 9 years old during the short time she was on TAGS, and i had a big crush on her!! Really upset when she got the boot for lack of chemistry with Andy. She still a very regal looking lady in her old age.
@@enigmawyoming5201 I haven't seen any recent pictures of her, but most women who are attractive when young tend to be attractive in a mature way as they grow older.
@@enigmawyoming5201 Also, she turned 85 earlier this year.
The way Jim Nabors sounded as Gomer Pyle, you would have never guessed that he was a singer.
I love that show I watch it every day.
Like it. It was nice to hear about all the actors. A great show. L still watch it.
On channel 248, METV. LANCASTER PA.
THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD.
Jessie was Don's first name. Donald was his MIDDLE name.
Loved the show before my time love the reruns
Thanks for watching!
On one episode it stated that Andy and Barney were cousins!
I was on my way to mention this. It was established near the start of the 1st season, possibly the pilot ep. Then quickly forgotten and made best friends. How could you guys miss this but of trivia? 😉
@@gleisberry Yes, the Pilot episode with Danny Thomas
This is true I think it was the first episode where Opie's Nanny is moving away to get married and Andy brings Aunt Bee to help around the house with Opie. Also if you watch the Pilot Episode Francis B. Aunt Bee is in it but she plays a different character not Aunt Bee.
They're not actually cousins
@@dnvelocity3916 No after episode one they re-wrote it so they were not cousins. Watch episode one and Andy and Barney are standing in the driveway talking about being cousins.
Most people don't know that the theme song for The Andy Griffith show is an actual song with words called down by the fishing hole which was sung by Andy Griffith
My two favorites is when Ope beat up one enemie who gave him a black eye and made another one run off. He told Ope to cross the line and Ope didn't looking mean and ready to bop cuz to next week.
That episode was on the other day. Opie walks into the court house showing his black eye to his dad & Barney and Opie says ..."Ain't it a beaut" !! 😆
The episoide were opie was told to cross the line the little blond haired boy that boy was Donald Trump
In the 1st episode there's a picture of a woman in the living room area. Perhaps that was Opie's mom.
They raise the question in the hook when trying to get you to watch but I don't know if they ever answer it because I couldn't get past the first minute and a half.
@8:30 The ford galaxie "500" model wasn't introduced until 1962. Up until then they were called galaxie sunliners.
MeTV has Andy Griffith show 8 PM and 8:30 PM eastern and Gomer Pyle USMC at 9 PM. Time might be different in other areas.
Nobody was married on that show except Otis and he was drunk all the time.
Otis wasn't drunk all the time. He did wirk during the week. It was weekends he became drunk.
(Otis was a Clark Kent drunk)
Also Emmett was married as well.
Spoiler alert! You don’t reveal what happened to Opie’s mom. You just tease us.
That's a lot of information about Andy and Barney but nothing about Thelma Lou
If you really want to see the great acting skills of Andy Griffith?
A Face In The Crowd (1957)
I watched this show as a kid when it was reruns. I loved the pickle episode. I always got hungry for pickles after watching that one.
"Kerosene cucumbers"🤣

Chris from Chicago
LOVE LOVE LOVE Don and Andy and ........Hoss and Sergeant Schultz
"Andy gets nostalgic watching Aunt Bee prepare for his wedding..." uh...what episode were you watching? That's not AT ALL what happened.
Barney and Otis, and Ernest T bass and Floyd and gomer they were funny too, all my favorite
Thanks for watching, Saleemah!
My favorite was the “Juanita” episode.
My favorite was when Opie competed with another boy for a job and got it, but later found out his competitor had to help his family pay some bills, so Opie gave up his job to the other kid.
I love watching the Andy griffith show
