Maybe this is an unpopular opinion outside of the James turner yt formally know as the sim supply viewership, but I’m obsessed with James’ long form content and how it just keeps getting longer. I remember the growing together episode being over an hour long and it was crazy that a video could be that long. Now his videos average 1hr and it makes me so happy
not unpopular at all, i love long videos. Also if this would last like 20m how much could he show ?
Agreed. I'm just as, if not more happy about longer videos that aren't uploaded as often
I also love the longer episodes 💚 I watch them while cooking dinner and doing the dishes 😅
I’ve always enjoyed long form content from creators I love. I don’t know how TH-cam tracks as sometimes I have to go away and come back. But.
I think it just depends on what he's doing. Most of his LP series range around 30-45 minutes. It's long enough, keeps enough content and context, and keeps enough attention from teh audience without people losing focus.
With this challenge, it seems harder to cut it up into parts as each lifestage has so many Sims to work on. 1 Sim already takes a long time to complete each set of requirements. Now add on more. You kind of have to focus on a Sim or two, (at max 3 at a time).
So many good out of context quotable. “How is this infant hungry again, haven’t they had enough crystal?”
There's so many moments, but I feel that one encapsulates the series. 🤣
I laughed so hard when the infant was hungry, he put the crystal in the room, and said "eat"
And “I know these children don’t have beds but they have the crystal” 😂 something like that
And when it asked about Pablo job and James said ‘does he want to work in the front or the back’ my mind went to the gutter 😂

-Feel like it’s gotta be either Nalani for the nostalgia, or Bernice cause she’s been so persistent. She’s certainly put in the work to get Semaj’s approval

I love this series! One suggestion is having the requierment for the teen sim to be a certain level of their prefered skill. Pablo's entire personality is fitness, tho he has no skill in it.
Yeah, they should really work on their preferred skills, at least a little bit! Sonny also never touched the pipe organ, it's just sitting in its little room all sad...
I agree I think the kids should have to have some skills in their chosen skill! It just makes sense that way!
I’ve switched out the exam requirement to be lvl 5 in their chosen skill in my LP since I totally agree that this makes more sense with the wheels!

When you have to explore an emotion for a gig, you can click on your sim and choose "explore angry emotion (for example). It will give you a moodlet

Then you can just "take an angry poop" three times in a row. You don't have to be mean to anyone
Snowy Escape also has a feature where a sim enters a state of zen and becomes emotionally mindful and can select what emotion they want to feel.

Strangerville is one of the few packs I don't have, and that animation alone is making me reconsider getting it.
With Pablo you just literally made Mr. House and I love that.
Also- since this challenge is coming to a close resuggesting a challenge idea. 6 Sims in one apartment in San Mayshuno. All trying to get to the top of a different City Living career (so the three jobs in that pack with each branch). All work from home every day. All must travel everywhere together.
An hour and 45 minutes? Heck yeah. What to watch while making and eating dinner is sorted!

Idk if James will ever see this, but the projects the kids do will not count to rise up their grades if you sell them directly after finishing them. The game won't count that.
In conclusion:
-Child does the project
-Put the Finished project in their inventory (the better the Project the higher is the performance boost)
-sent children to school
-when their are back you can sell the projects
James, school projects do take a long time if nobody is helping. Just make the kids invite their moms over and ask to help with project. I usually make the whole family power through all projects to get them done faster.
Same here and if the family is small I'll have them do the project outside, click on strangers that walk by and select "ask for help with project" 🤣
Was wondering if he chose the projects for high school aged sims, but looked like all had child aged skills to gain🤷♀

I am playing a 50 baby challenge with occults. Maybe that could work for James. One occult starts (short lifespan) and has to have 10 babies. One of the kids has to be or become the next occult and start over with a starter home and 0 simoleons and have the next 10 babies and so on. Every occult lives in "their" world and has to have a different way to earn money than their parent. Each occult can be challenging when you have a couple of kids in the house. Mermaids constantly go swimming instead of caring for their children, werewolves transform and are often too angry to properly care for the children and I haven't reached vampires yet, but it might be challenging to keep them fed.
I has a lot more variation than the usual 100 baby challenge.

I’ve never seen so many similar looking siblings in a sims random baby parent challenge. Guess that’s what happens when you specifically choose a “type” for your primary parent
My sympathies for the laxk of sleep - dog rehab is tough, especially with a rambunctious puppy around!
Once Bowser starts feeling better, I recommend getting a snuffle mat or some other brain stimulating activity to tire him out mentally until you can physically tire him out. We've been through podt-operative rehab with quite a few foster dogs, and the hardest part is keeping them from going nuts and reinjuring themselves when they're still on limited exercise but starting to feel better.
Snuffle mats are good for injured dogs because they can't knock them about like a wobble Kong or puzzle feeding ball, but those are great options for keeping food-motivated puppies busy, so might be worth a try for the pupster!

I see what you're saying, as she tried so hard and wanted to be present raising her 1 child with us. BUT, she's already married to someone else, who she has several children with & would have to get divorced and leave them all. Kinda messy.

Idea for next mini challenge! Every Expansion pack challenge!! You do tasks from each of the expansions (Get together join clubs and become a dj, for example), and when you complete, you have a townie, or for seasons Father Winter or someone, from that expansion join your household! Bonus, their room has to be decorated like the world that comes with the pack!!
I think you should make the room with the martini lights into a bar! Give him mixology skill!
Pretty sure you bought the kids school projects for teenagers, that's why they wouldn't get completed :D
To research an emotion, you need to click on your Sim and select the research emotion option if I'm not mistaken, and THEN you go and perform the interactions with others
A word of caution about going into CAS w a household bigger than 8 sims - the game deletes the rest of the sims! So maybe do a work around if you wanna go to CAS w any of them. :)
I think Pablo is my favorite sim in this series. Him randomly getting into volunteering & yoga in one day. Running down the street possessed. His outfit & lil mustache. Lying about his cow plant secret.

Furnish a home with as much transformed furniture as possible. Build and furnish you house with random items and then transform as much as possible to make it look good.

I'd love to watch James do his own version of a legacy challenge, like a multigenerational version of something like this. I started doing a simple one myself and ended up with triplets with only S20 XD

An easy way to trigger full parent mode consistently is when teaching a sim about saying Thank You or Sorry. Just before the interaction finishes, the "Encourage Learning about Thank You/Sorry" appears and it can be queued at this precise point in time

watching this episode has confirmed my decision to not buy the Strangerville pack because this challenge is hard enough without the Bizarre Fruit challenge
btw, I'm pretty sure the fame setting you have checked says that if it's checked, Sims will not gain fame so that's probably why Semaj isn't gaining fame.
I'm sad this challenge is coming to an end but I've had such a fun time watching it! I'm excited to try it after my current Island Rags to Riches Challenge is over.

James, you can get extra money from the decoration box by digging in it for seasonal decorations and then you can sell them for money later. It's really a good deal. You spend 100 simoleans for the box and then unlimited sellable
decorations.
What if you have Semaj end up with whichever baby parent shows up to the house next? Could be funny to leave it to chance.
The sims can't interact with infants when they are crying. Your infant was crying nonstop, so that is why they canceled their action. Make sure to cancel the crying interaction of the infant when you ask other sims to take care of them
Watching you talk about how to pipe organ being in the living room reminded me of how my grandparents growing up had an electronic organ in their dining/living room. Totally forgot about that until you said it! Hahaha
I've got to be honest, everyone in the family eating the Bizaare Fruit is very cult-ish behavior LOL I love it!
