Holy cow, everything you describe is my life. Experienced hunger, poverty and neglect as a child. Never bonded with my mother and we are estranged. I have four older siblings and we don’t talk at all… grew apart or didn’t bond because I was a later last born. Have debts that seem insurmountable due to going to college much later in life in hope to find a better paying career. I didn’t buy my first house until after age thirty…. I have savings now but always feel I need to save more. I’ve had a life long battle with self esteem, making friends that last, and finding a career that’s not a constant struggle to wake up and go to. I’m very frugal and work hard. But I’ve been restricted in my careers, never really achieving what I want but being pulled to take on more and more responsibility and leadership in areas I don’t want. I worry about being poor like my mother. I know there are plenty of wealthy folks that have Saturn in the second house and trust that Saturns lessons are crucial and that success is coming, just delaying.

Wow I feel like my experience is very different from everyone else yet somehow a parallel. Im 25 now (nov 7th) and since my rising is Capricorn and this years profection sign for me is in aquarius saturn second house I thought I should give it a go. Also im saturn pisces second house native. My family is wealthy, from my dad. My moms side very poor, and I have always seen both worlds. Growing up I felt... smothered, by my mom intense love and protection and anxiety that something may happen to me because I was a sickly boy. This anxiety gave me intense constant fear as a child. I couldnt talk to other kids and even less adults. I felt like they all knew something I didnt, as if They just seemed to get it. I cant save money. dont just look at the 2nd placement, look at the ascendant, saturn is lord of which house, position in lagna, navamsha and D 10 chart for career. Also, you need to understand your moon sign along with what Mahadasha and antar one is in. Compare it to yogini dasha, you will have a fair bit of understanding how saturn works. I think for my youth - the retrograde affected me in that my Mom basically raised me with no restrictions, yet there was an unspoken, unstated, set of cultural rules that were very present in the home, without being spoken. It was expected to self-regulate.

Holy cow, everything you describe is my life. Experienced hunger, poverty and neglect as a child. Never bonded with my mother and we are estranged. I have four older siblings and we don’t talk at all… grew apart or didn’t bond because I was a later last born. Have debts that seem insurmountable due to going to college much later in life in hope to find a better paying career. I didn’t buy my first house until after age thirty…. I have savings now but always feel I need to save more. I’ve had a life long battle with self esteem, making friends that last, and finding a career that’s not a constant struggle to wake up and go to. I’m very frugal and work hard. OMG!! Due to my birth time of 12 midnight, many charts I've done have put my Saturn in the 3rd house. But I've just done another one today to look at my transits. Wow I feel like my experience is very different from everyone else yet somehow a parallel. Im 25 now (nov 7th) and since my rising is Capricorn and this years profection sign for me is in aquarius saturn second house I thought I should give it a go. Also im saturn pisces second house native. My family is wealthy, from my dad. My moms side very poor, and I have always seen both worlds. Growing up I felt... smothered, by my mom intense love and protection and anxiety that something may happen to me because I was a sickly boy. This anxiety gave me intense constant fear as a child. I couldnt talk to other kids and even less adults. I felt like they all knew something I didnt, as if They just seemed to get it. I cant save money. dont just look at the 2nd placement, look at the ascendant, saturn is lord of which house, position in lagna, navamsha and D 10 chart for career. Also, you need to understand your moon sign along with what Mahadasha and antar one is in. Compare it to yogini dasha, you will have a fair bit of understanding how saturn works. I have a 2nd house placement and I have exactly been through every bit of what Kapil has mentioned, and exactly after 32 my career started to flourish. I have Saturn in Leo Second house, I have a very restrictive mother, after 40 my life became so so hard 😢. One thing i just realized is every time the Sun transits over Saturn I have throath/voice issues doctors cant discover why, and I now understand that it light my natal chart saturn in Leo position.

I have saturn in second but I've always been good at saving money. had trouble with my mother, but I healed that relationship. the rest of my natal chart tells me im good at healing karma, along with being very honest and determined. so I don't know if that overrides the fact that my Saturn is second house taurus. also im 21.

I also reflect a lot about my interactions with family. Am I interacting enough? Am I interacting in a good way? Am I really being a good family member? I think for my youth - the retrograde affected me in that my Mom basically raised me with no restrictions, yet there was an unspoken, unstated, set of cultural rules that were very present in the home, without being spoken. It was expected to self-regulate.
Saturn and Jupiter just 3° apart with Saturn on the bottom both in the 2nd house. Everything on my chart has been amazingly spot on until now with the Povery thing
My father was career Navy, we lived well and my Mother was awesome and my father was not strict. I did smoke off and on, but more off. No alcohol. I guess there must be something I am missing.
you are lucky to have Jupiter in this placement, it is a planet of luck so maybe it is diluting saturn's energy in your chart
