- This summer was a BIG one for me! I bought a place in NYC and for the last couple months I've been working on little changes that make it feel like home to me. Sharing some of the progress so far in this vlog - enjoy!

You taking about your plant is probably one of the most relaxing things i’ve seen all week
i feel most at home wherever my fiancé is. it's been hard making my space feel like home since he died last year, though. when he died, i had to move out of our home because i couldn't afford it on my own and i was all alone in a state we had just moved to. i moved back to our hometown, but i wasn't able to take much of our stuff back with me. i just recently moved into my own apartment and i've loved getting to decorate a new space, but it still doesn't feel like home to me. i sleep with one of his pillowcases and that helps. the other morning, a cold front blew in and i had left my windows open the night before in anticipation. that morning, i woke up wrapped in a cocoon of blankets, and for a brief moment, before i opened my eyes, it felt like i was back in our bed in our little apartment in washington heights waking up next to him on a fall morning- and in that moment i felt at home.

What makes my home feel like a home is my cats, dog, and my son. I love when everything is out of place, it means that we're too happy living our lives to the fullest. Life is messy, crazy and changes a lot all the time and that is scary some times but also amazing!

What makes my house feel like a home is entertaining. I love inviting people over and making them a meal. There is something so sacred about sharing food and a glass of wine out on the patio with other people that feels warm and fulfilling. My partner and I just bought our first home and finished renovating it so I can't wait to host more. Super excited for you and this home of yours!

I've always wanted a sofa in my room, and it finally came true this year after I moved to Brooklyn! It makes my room in NYC feel like home because I or my friends can chill on there, and do nothing but enjoy our time accompany each other~ I'm excited to see the tour of your new home!

I just recently moved as well, and what has made my house feel like home is curating the space along side my girlfriend for the first time! It’s great to see a reflection of both of our interests come together. But what really feels like home to me is the laughter that fills the rooms as we watch our fur babies clown around with all the extra space!😊🐶🐱❤️ Love your style -definitely inspiring some creative ideas for me!

What reminds me of home is volcanoes and lush green of plants. I was always in the move for whatever reasons in life, school, renting, bought a house but I knew it was just temporary. The last move, I added plants, started from a little pot of succulent and the collections are growing now. I don't see volcanoes where I live, but so grateful I am now surrounded by rocky mountains. Congratulations for the new home, Ingrid!

Hearing my kids laugh and chase each other around the house makes me feel completely at home. Nothing brings me more joy than their sweet chaos! Watching them kick soccer in the front yard or imagine our treehouse is a mighty castle is my dream come true!
What makes my home is one my new puppy and falling over his millions and millions of toys, I just love it, to have this perfect dog greeting me when I come and go, is the best feeling. And a good candle, I am all about smells in my home and I love warm scents in my home and it just adds to the coziness.
Whenever I move or travel, what makes me feel like home afterwards is when my cat is back at the apartment 😄😺

What makes me feel like home is art! It makes your space so personal. A lot of my apartment is furnished with more classic, simple pieces, so art is what makes it come to life.

Which makes it feel a lot more like my space. Also having a plant is very homey and cozy. I usually have orchids because they remind me of my Mama. Lots of love xo
Congrats on the move-in! I actually just moved to NYC myself for school and what really made it like home was the pictures of my family and friends that I hung up. It truly keeps me grounded and reminds me of my support group and that I was able to get where I am today with their energy. Thank you again for this giveaway! 💜

My home feels like home when it’s a zoo-My boyfriend is home, his kid is tearing through the house being a kid, the dogs are being crazy, family is over having a good time, there’s plenty of food and laughter. As much as I love a clean and quiet house, it’s not my home unless there’s a little bit of chaos.

I have this memory wall that has my favorite pictures, past tickets to events, and little mementos of my travels. Definitely coming back and seeing that wall makes my place feel like home. And I love being able to add to it too!

My family and dog make my place feel like home. It’s the best feeling ever to come home after a long day to lights on in the house, momma in the kitchen making dinner, and my dog greeting me at the door. It’s just the best!

My house feels like home when I have the candles burning and when I am doing house chores whilst having Friends on Netflix playing or music on Spotify. Also, the fact that I still have my furniture from my first apartment really makes me happy. I also very much value my bed , pillows and comforter.
I just moved into my own place for the first time after a big life change and I’ve found that having lots of plants and cozy blankets that I’ve crocheted really helps me feel settled and at home. Hoping for the broccoli seeds! Thanks for the good vibes.
For me it’s blankets and rugs! My space only started feeling like home recently once I got rugs and blankets and upped the coziness factor 😊 enjoy your new home!

My space feels like home because of my garden. I have recently just started my own veggie patch so we can start to harvest and use produce from our own gardens. There is something so cool about watching them grow from a single seed. Mother nature is seriously incredible. I am a graphic designer and work for myself so I also love that tiny pocket of time that I get to just be serene and get some much needed vitamin D. What an amazing giveaway prize.
