    Doug you need to change your name to The Tone Master Pro Master. Thank you for all you're teaching on reining the FTMP in for us.

    i'll definately check this video out longer tomorrow as i'm beat and need to sleep...In the past, I've used mainly 2 amps, a fender and a marshall. wet/dry.

    To make a wet dry wet rig just add another amp to output 1 or output 2 whichever you are using for the wet. Example: 😀 you need to put upper to output 1 for the dry and put lower to output 2 for my wet/stereo amps. The upper and lower paths need to be on separate outputs to make a true wet/dry or wet/dry/wet rig. I didn’t see you showing this is the video. The connections in the back also match this. Hopefully this helps. I absolutely love my wet/dry/wet setup.

      If you leave the upper path panned to the middle, and use stereo effects on the lower path, you'll essentially get a W/D/W. It's about how you arrange the effects in the stereo field.

      @@JohnFiaschetti instead of adding a second amp to the lower path?

    • @JohnFiaschetti
      @JohnFiaschetti หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@msvapehead yeah, that would give the same effect. The classic implementation with real amps is using 3 amps in a true WDW setup. The essence of what you’re trying to do is put a dry signal in between stereo spread time-based effects. You can do that with one amp too. I used this arrangement on my Helix before as well.

      @@JohnFiaschetti good to know 👍 thanks . I have mine setup with three amps currently.

      You *can* do it that way, but my version keeps everything in the box so that you don't have to use multiple amps. For me, the whole reason for having the TMP is that I can go directly from it to FOH or DAW 👍

    Shortcut: When using the desktop app, you can double-click any selection in the add/replace menus to instantly add an item to the signal path without having to select "Confirm".

    Thank you so much Doug. I think your pedal choices were awesome. You can have a lot of fun changing things around. I hope you enjoy this type of setup as much as I do.

    There are lots of ways to use this and no one way is “right”. If you move your various drive pedals to the “dry” side only, you can get a clean/dirty mix, which can give you great tones. You may want an amp with more clean headroom to get the most from this setup.
    I enjoy your content!

    • @ryanatkinson9766
      @ryanatkinson9766 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have used the clean dirty mix in a wet dry tig and love it. It sounds huge! I keep the clean side (wet) and the dirty side (dry) very dirty, then just balance volumes to get the sound I want. Sounds big and amazing.

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! I was just showing one way. Thanks for watching!

      Your way has advantages. Drive or fuzz has a different sound it runs through reverb and delay. Lots of ways to build the sound you want.
      One of the good things about your content is that it makes me think about this kind of stuff. Appreciate you devoting the time to demo the things you are doing.

    Is it possible to go further and do a wet dry wet rig ? Thanks for your great vidéos.

      No, you can only add 2 amps. Thanks for watching!

    hey doug! my names Dee and im from ireland =) thank you so much for all your videos on how to use the tonemaster pro. without them, i wouldnt be able to use the machine to its full potential. i do have one problem with my unit tho and if you have a spare moment,could you please help? when i connect my tonemaster to my bands desk(behringer xair18) , i have to have the gain COMPLETELY off to be able to use it. its as if the signal coming from the TMP is so strong. is this normal? if i turn the gain up at all, the led's go straight up into the high yellow and red and the sound distorts. the volume on my TMP is set around 45% please help, best
    regards, dee

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that's normal. I'm pretty sure that it sends a line-level signal, and there is no need to add any gain. I always tell people to tell their sound tech to start off with no gain and just use the fader(s) on the board. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Doug, very illustrative video for sure. 1 question, I'm guessing most likely you are using this rig in stereo. I would do something like this but in Mono as I use just 1x FR12. Did you try this in mono? Effect is closer/similar or much weaker? From your video I can tell right away there is a lot of difference when Wet/Dry is enable but I don't know what percetage of this is the rig being stereo. Thanks

    Couldn’t you set this up using signal path “Instrument Parallel”?

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, that's the other signal path that would work.

  • @JohnFiaschetti
    @JohnFiaschetti หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Hey there! I tried this same arrangement literally on day 1 with the TMP. I found that when you mute for tuning, it does not mute both paths. I posted that on the TMP page on Facebook, and it was identified as a software bug. Wondering if you had the same issue?

    • @DougBsDigitalDen
      @DougBsDigitalDen  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Make sure that both "Instrument" and "Mic/Line" are highlighted in blue when you go to the tuner. That will mute both paths. Thanks for watching!

      @JohnFiaschetti หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DougBsDigitalDenI’ll have to try that. I never considered mic/line given that it’s supposed to be instrument parallel. Good to know!
