I don't think you were wrong last episode-- it's just that Lucius has chemistry with everyone! I found pilot episode Pete exhausting, and seeing how he was with Lucius made me reevaluate him. (And I want a puppy for Fang.)
one of my favorite details about this episode is that around 21:00 or 8:57 in this video, you can hear gnossienne no 5 playing lightly in the background, their love theme. Ed is being vulnerable probably for the first time ever in front of stede and stede being there for him,,,, “hey, i’m your friend” :(
I _love_ when shows choose to cut past the bs and drama and just have a character admit the truth to the other character, the other character absorbs this difficult-to-swallow information, then tells them, hey, it's okay, thank you for telling me, and we're gonna find a way to work this out. Emotional maturity is really refreshing. Show audiences how to handle things the good way, rather than the stupid, drawn-out, I-kept-this-secret-way-too-long-and-now-it's-revealed-and-they-hate-me-instead-of-understanding-that-I'm-trying-to-mend-things kind of way.
Still being driven insane by the fact that Ed is hiding with Stede's golden robe in the bathtub, so precious 😭🥰 The adorableness of Lucius and Pete sneaks up on us all 😁 I will never not laugh at Izzy being smacked in the face with a sandwich 🤣🤣🤣 I love the theory that Stede lured Izzy into getting his sword stuck, knowing that he'd never be able to defeat him in a regular fight. I also find it hilarious that he thought Ed slapping him on the ass with the sword was a legit move 🤣🤣🤣 And Fang is an absolute sweetheart, I adore him 😊 I love how enthusiastic you are for this show, can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of it 😁

The first time I watched, I also thought the kraken was real because I didn't know what the rules of this world were yet, but I love that it was a trauma metaphor. I personally don't think Lucius and Izzy would work as a couple bc Izzy wouldn't be able to share. And also they both have too much going on on their own to make things work anyway, but hey.

Yes i accept that lucius and pete are together and a very cute couple but sprizzy (lucius spriggs and Izzy hands) will always have my heart.
