- Sky News host Caleb Bond says giving the Nature Positive Plan the “power” to stop work shows Labor might as well employ Greta Thunberg to stop all the logging in Australia.
“It makes sense to have some kind of environmental cop on the beat,” Mr Bond told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“But seriously … the power to stop work immediately it is almost like you are sending the environmental equivalent of the CFMEU to go and look after this stuff.
“I mean, why don’t they put Greta Thunberg in charge, and she can go and stop every piece of logging in this country.
“Because that seems to be the logical conclusion of what they are suggesting.”
If politicians were jailed for their wrongdoings then despot Dan Andrews would have been jailed for life.
For what?

The idea is to do a slow transition toward renewable. The problem with people today is they want easy instant solutions. Do you know how long it took to get coal electricity viable? Sir John Monash nicked Brown Coal Technology from Germany after WW1 to build coal electrical plants in Victoria in the 1920’s for example because we didn’t know how to do it here. People think in terms of all or nothing, here and now. Never about the future. Never about emerging technologies. You want cheeper power? End the war in Ukraine. Stop being reliant on coal and oil as the one and only source of power. Diversify our power supply if one source of power is cut off, we are not totally stuffed.

Logging and using the timber for anything almost is more environmentally friendly than any wind turbine.
No logging, that means more mining as we need to make houses with steel. Timber is the best material for homes as we lock carbon in for 50 or more years into the house frame.
