    Just took mine out after only using it once, had the same problem. Did what you did and WALA!!! It works again! Great video. I would recommend a different sprayer, wasn’t too impressed with this one.

    Dude!!! You are incredible and amazing. I woke up this morning to use my sprayer and same issue as what you encountered. I did exactly what you did but used WD-40 instead cause I was too lazy to get the other oil. And it's running great again. You totally made my day!! Thanks for uploading this!!!

    Thanks for putting up both of these videos on the sprayer. We plan on doing some home renovation this year and I've been thinking about purchasing it. One tip I read someone else mention for storage is to use Graco Pump Armor.

      +RoloisRight Thank you. I am glad you like these videos. I end up just using the Husky compressor oil for storage since I have it handy. My next painting project is in fall for my mom's house. I will report back to see if there is any problem of the sprayer. So far I like this sprayer a lot. it paid for itself already.

    You just saved me $200! I had this exact same issue. I always make sure to clean the whole system really well so I was perplexed as to why it wouldn't work after I used it a year ago. Unfortunately, just adding oil didn't work for me (no air bubbles and the level didn't drop over time). So, I put a piece of plastic sheeting over the inlet hole and zip-tied it on tight so that it would hold pressure. Then I put the spring and ball-bearing back in and screwed the piece back on. The process of screwing it on created pressure and since the inlet hole was covered the oil was forced into the pump. As soon as I flipped it to prime it shot the oil out of the outlet port and I knew I was back in business. I had actually already purchased a replacement one and this was my last ditch attempt before opening it up. Thank you!

      I had to clean the other outlet connected to the spray hose. That had a lot of of crud, water minerals.

      So, we need an oil anemia device for these airless devices.... A garden hose hookup is what I use for my other airlesses. It is a shame these do not have one. But I do wonder if diameter is right for a cut off garden hose. Might need to cut off an expandable if not. Hose clamp, or zip tie.

    I've been using mine for staining a LOT of a large fence. Got about 10 hours on it already. Agree with the change of tip size. The absolute key to any sprayer using soap and water for cleanup is to make sure not to store it with water anywhere in the system. The 'recommended' Grayco Pump Armor is NOT necessary. Instead, use any kind of automotive anti-freeze. It's cheap and coats all the parts inside with an anti corrosive. Mix it down to 50/50 if you want. After hose is clear from cleanup, disconnect that and the gun. Prime with anti-freeze then switch to spray. As soon as you see it coming out, shut it down. That's it.
    Also recommend taking the gun completely apart - clean really good with soap and water. Let it dry or force compressed air thru all parts of the gun. As you put it back together, I use WD-40 and squirt it everywhere -- inside, all parts, tip, spray needle, screen filter, trigger - everywhere. Then store in a Ziploc bag with a final spray of WD-40 and seal the bag.
    And, yes, this is a good sprayer for the price -- I've had zero issues with mine. When I'm done with it (even for just a couple of days) I'll 'pickle' it as above. All hoses look brand new after each use -- takes less than an hour to fully clean it for short or long term storage.

    • @lien302
      @lien302 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      whats the model replacement internal filter for the spray gun? I found an older graco 288749 that looks exactly like it with a spring and white color tip on one end and blue on the other end, but then it seems it has been replaced by a new design w/o the spring and has blue color tips on both ends. i also heard the screen is for latex paints so can i remove the filter for water base paints even tho i prescreen my paint before it enters the pump?

    • @dirkdiggler9379

      Sorry but my time is worth more than that sprayer

    • @dennisgarber
      @dennisgarber 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been using Titans since 1990. Do not use antifreeze, nor crap Graco sells. Instead, store with any petroleum based oil, and you will not have problems. Often, overnight, best to just keep it in the paint rather than to rinse with water. But the trick is to store with oil, at least in the pump part. Be sure to flush with water before dropping it in paint again. .... Cleaning gun filter will not affect pump performance, just reduce the necessary psi and reduce tip clogs, which is irrelevant to this video.

    how do you get the gun filter out thru the bottom like it shows in the manual. the harder i pull, the more the spring stretches. i know you got yours out thru the top but i can't get it loose.

    • @HypergaugeDIY
      @HypergaugeDIY  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you may have something stuck inside. Mine came out easily. If you did not clean the gun soon after use, the paint could have dried and you may need to use some solvent to loosen it.

The button on the button seems pressed in and stuck.. bought the sprayer used. Was clean outside, but inside was a mess. I've gotten it all clean and clear except this part. You can find the diagram of the unit here. manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/62000-62999/62915.pdf I will suggest not to use acetone or any kind of corrosive solvent directly in the unit as it could damage the gasket. • @lien302

    I noticed that even when I switch mine to prime there’s still some pressure going into the outlet paint hose. When I switch toggle to spray it does stop any paint from coming out the prime tube. Any of you have this same issue?

    • @blakecheatham2868
      @blakecheatham2868 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is normal. The way the system works is it builds a slight pressure on the hose and that pressure allows it to push the "paint" out of the prime tube.

      Unfortunately I don't know Spanish. From google translate it seems you are asking about the red button. That button is to release the ball bearing valve. But in my case it did not help. I only do the lubrication by putting compressor oil through the intake and let it spray out. I have been doing this every time after used and cleaned. It seems working fine.

    So I've only used this pressure washer one time. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.

    Hi there! What size socket is needed to remove the nipple? Mine is stuck and won’t unscrew with a wrench.

    • @HypergaugeDIY
      @HypergaugeDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a large adjustable wrench to loosen it. Not hard to do. Good luck 👍

    How do you take off the pressure knob

    • @HypergaugeDIY

      Sorry, I never try to remove that so I don't have the info. You may try to refer to their parts diagram to see if there is an easy way to remove it. Good luck with your project.

    Is there a replacement hose that will work on this from another brand?

    • @DIYApprentice
      @DIYApprentice 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joshua Case Just about any standard spray hose will work. I'm using a Graco hose, since I bought the sprayer used and the original hose was clogged.

      Thanks for watching my video. If your local hardware store does not have it, I will just call up Harbor Freight for a replacement. Good luck with your project.

    Maybe someone can help. I only use mine with water as many detailers are doing. With mine the pump wont shut off .. the pump should only kick on when spraying. Mine keeps going ... any ideas ?

    • @HypergaugeDIY
      @HypergaugeDIY  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you check if there is any leaks? The pump should auto shut off when it reaches the pressure. I will suggest check leaks in valve, connectors, hoses, and spray gun. You may need to take it in for services.

    Are you still happy with this? Would you buy different now? I'm looking to buy a painter, I'm just a homeowner not a pro, and trying to wisely spend my precious few paint-equipment dollars. Thank You.

      Ysaac Caba No venden partes internas, pero puede usar otra marca de manguera o pistola (Graco es bueno). Tuve que arreglar el valvula de descarga con partes de la ferretería.

    tip on sprays out on sides not middle

    • @michaelkline9647
      @michaelkline9647 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to Lowes and pick up a new tip. They come with a little seat that slides into the rear or the tip guard. Without that the tip does not fit properly and paint will come from the sides.

      Try to loosen it up with some oil soaking over night. The nut is tight but not impossible to remove. Good luck.
