    This is definitely some of the best film work I've seen on TH-cam. You adapt so well to the constraints you put on yourself (the BW, the 21mm), and the city is alive in your work. I'm pretty stunned by what you did in such a small window. I'm excited to see what else you do in the future.

    I really admire how you managed to align the tone of the narrative with the flow of various emotions in the pictures, all accompanied by just the right type of music. That's a work of art in itself.
    And what an insane amount of intriguing photographs.
    That was very inspiring, thank you!

    Such a great set of photos and overall video. I have to admit that after seeing a few of your later videos I finally went and got myself some fomapan 400 to experiment with. The photos of this particular video are the ones that moved me towards that the most :)

    Great video bro. Great shots. And the best location on earth to shoot. I visit at least 3-4 times a year. And great to see Steph. Hope to see more of her in future videos. Great to see the two of you in this new quasi vlog style. It works with your story telling. 🙏🏽

    " . . . to take inventory of what I spent our money on." Lovely to hear it phrased like this, with ownership and respect given to your partner, too. Thanks for so thoroughly documenting the trip and sharing so much of it with us! You got some great shots that you'll be able to relive the experience through for years to come.
    And congrats on the book and 8E Summicron v1! I've been very interested in that lens (and the LLL remake) for a few weeks. Hopefully you'll share some thoughts and photos about/with us some day.

    The discovery of your videos and your photography was strangely timed at the perfect moment in my journey as a film photographer. I only ever shot color film, and recently I forced myself to give up color for some time. I am just beginning to feel how freeing it can be to shoot black and white film and bulk loading. And I happen to have chosen Fomapan. Can't wait to see what the future brings to you :)

    How do you meter these shots ? Is it the fomapan 400 or do you measure so that highlights are on zone VI ? Especially day 1 everything is wounderfully silhouetted

    • @jeremy-t
      @jeremy-t  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @jeremy-t
      @jeremy-t  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Glad you enjoyed it! Oh tough decision, it really depends.. If you’re comfortable with sunny 16 / handheld metering, and don’t mind slower film loading, definitely the combo!

    What a well produced video, very good work. I need to revisit Foma 400, it looks like your pushing it 2 stops or so, is that correct? Can I also know what development you're using? I really like the vibe your getting, I think I need to let go of shadow detail (HP5) and just embrace the Foma400 look more.

    Really great video and love the photos. I’m curious how you’re metering in the darker scenes ? Like night or inside. You have your film rated at 800 or 1600 ?

    • @jeremy-t
      @jeremy-t  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Foma 400, rated 800! For metering in general, I’m referencing the cameras built in meter. For most regular shots, pointing away from specular highlights which might throw off the meter.
