that really depends on what your making and how big/thick the object is. Some small/thin pieces might need only a day thicker ones might need several. If you are in a humid environment that will also make it take longer. It's best to make gum pate pieces ahead of time whenever possible so you can ensure they have dried out fully and are stable.
