I was hoping you would offer more info on why the Bronco was so bad. I had an Ecoboost Escape that I drove to 200k miles and it never failed. You didn’t make a case against that. If it handled badly, it could be a one-off. I guess you needed a good headline

The reason the engine bay looks like a rat's nest is because they moved all the wiring up high to aid in water fording depth. Although it looks nasty, it really helps to have all those sensor connectors high, dry, and easy to reach.

That RT Charger had a dented up drivers door, and the hood had a good size dent. That Escalade looked nice, but you're right, that $51k is a ridiculous price, even at retail for something with that many miles. I would buy the Chevy Yukon/Denali or whatever, sitting next to it instead.

The 2.7 is a very good engine. Its one of the only Ecoboost engines that was designed from the ground up to be turbocharged. Its block is made with the same materials and architecture as the power stroke engines with forged i beam connecting rods. There are an extremely low amount of reported problems with this engine in the F150s.

We just drove a new Wrangler. I thought the fit and finish were garbage and the engine was crap. I couldn't believe they wanted 45K for it! Back in 2003, I worked for a Jeep dealer for about 3 months and I thought they were bad then. The Stellantis drivetrains are just shit. For me, the Jeeps died when the 4.0 went away and they tried to make them everyday drivers. My buddy had an 83 back in the early 90s with a 350 SBC swap. It was brutal and beautiful. These new ones are just lipstick on a pig. I like seeing the look of horror on a Jeep owner's face when I tell them I'd rather drive a Range Rover so at least I'm comfortable while I'm waiting for the tow truck.

Sadly, the torque converters go out on those GM 6 speeds and you can't tell if the converter is weak until you get up to cruising speed 55+ and let it ride in 5-6 gear. Had one myself. 17.3 mpg in the Bronco? That's what my 1993 F-150 Flareside with inline six (4.9l) and manual transmission (without stop/start) got. Now 30 year later, Bronco gets the same thing with a 2.7l turbo engine. That's sad. Those aggressive tire treads will also make the ride nasty.

Really have no idea about your review on the Bronco. I have a two door WildTrak and it’s like night and day over the ‘21 Rubicon I traded in for it. Have zero issues getting up to speed and cruising at 80mph on the highway with the 2.7 liter. Who cares if there’s no plastic engine cover. How many times are you “looking” at an engine in a newer vehicle?

I deliver cars for extra retirement income. I took a new Bronco WildTrak Edition,($65,000.00) from Northeast Ohio to Northern New Jersey last week. Brought back a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. Stepping out of the Bronco and directly into the Jeep, the difference was night and day. In my opinion, you can't judge a Bronco or a Wrangler if they're two doors. Those vehicles as two doors go down the road bouncing like baby buggies with that short suspension.

    The intro screen is impressive?
Really? That screen can be put on any car. Ot is just an epectronic screeen with a picture. Show me a car that gets 300k miles from oil changes alone and three set of tires and three sets of brakes and I will start thinking about owning a Ford. The four runner will do it. The Sequoia will do it and more. The Lexus RX will do it and the Lexus GX and even the Lexus NX will do it.
Also you can do it with a CRV, Pilot, and an Acura MDX and maybe the RDX but it is less likely.
The rest of the SUVs on thearket are suspect except the Mazda CX line which is a bit less on reliability but sportier. The mazda is my choice for a rental and a lease car but with ownership it goes to the Toyota Rav4 for all around good. The CRV is better looking but the Rav4 is just a bit better with reliability but just barely. I may go for the CRV just for looks but probably not.
My next two cars are a turbo honda civic hatchback with a 500hp motor (building it as we speak) and an older Honda Pilot for a daily driver, and then a honda PCX150 scooter for a fun little mess around vehicle to drive around and get 90mpg while having fun. I will have 12k in total into the 3 vehivles when i am done. 7k for the turbo civic, 4k for the older Pilot, and 1k for the PCX150 used.

You obviously haven’t done much research on the bronco before making a video……very little knowledge on specs etc….
Them late model Chevy trucks are garbage ….ugly as hell to begin with……plus a buddy of mine works for GM tech support ….tells me constant horror stories of daily issues GM products have from front to rear …..he worked for Ford prior to GM and says GM takes the cake for failures ..

Yep, a small displacement, twin-turbo, dual injected,v-6 with VVT is not going to look like your Dad’s V-8. What’s nice about it is that from a technical perspective, Ford already did every performance Mod you could make.
The problem is people don’t know how to take care of them, and can’t find people qualified to do it for them. But hey, go ahead and do the next guy some favors by flooring it for the views.

  • @AmericanSCPO

There are hundreds of thousands of Ecoboost engines with 170K, 200k on them zero issues. My GF 2014 F150 ecoboost 166K original miles zero issues. We do the regular recommended maintenance intervals. I have 2 2.7L TT 120K Zero issues. There is nothing wrong with these Gord engines. The problems are the owners that don't follow routine maintenance schedules, or beat the heck out of their cars. You are way off saying they aren't good outside of the 3 year 36K mile range.

First off I want Randy to I know the NEW 2024 Chevrolet Chevelle 70/SS is the most bad car I have seen that's coming! I plan on buying one. As for that Ford Bronco Badlands, i've drove a few, Junk! They are robbing people on that one. We loved the Caddy near the end., clunky noise and all.

  • @therightisright8276

So a guy who buys and repairs cars found at AUCTIONS thinks a brand new Badlands Bronco is junk?
I worked for a auto auction in Dallas and let me tell you auction vehicles are abused, neglected, forsaken pieces of CRAP and I have many horror stories to prove it. So because the engine bay looks crowded you term it as a "cluster*uck?" really?
You must be a GM or Toyota fan.

"I know very little about what I'm showing you guys, but let me tell you why all of these things are bad".
"it only got up to 45" then proceeds to show it get up to 60.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then bait and switch title to cover other vehicles after judgement was passed on 2 passes down a 1/4 mile (?) track.
Thanks for the in depth review person who doesn't know anything about the vehicle they are reviewing.

I truly don’t think the 2.7 should have ever existed. If you’ve ever driven a Bronco you know how much of a dog the 2.7 is. Thing is it doesn’t make a lot of sense numbers wise. If people want real off road and road machines then put up big boy money and buy the Bronco Raptor or 392 Wrangler.

  • @JackRusselMan
    @JackRusselMan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

The 2.7 is a bad motor. All the 4-cylinders are fine. There is a guy at work with the 2.7L and it is always broken down. Ours is fine though. Ihad a 2012 Mazda had 50k miles and the transmission fluid was black. We had it changed and refilled and I drove it around with no transmission issues and it's still running around the city.
