And I'm sure Jeff's never had a soundie who puts the amount of love and passion you do into giving an artist the very best possible live mix as you do, Rik! What a combination. Those two shows will always stay in my memory as the very best of a live show. Intimate, intense, overwhelming on so many levels. We were honoured to be a part of it.
I've always been impressed with Jeff's range and emotional evocation when he sings -- he's had me enthralled by his playing, vocals and versatility for over a decade & a half now. Thank you for sharing this performance!
I count myself extremely lucky to have seen the tea party perform live quite a number of times - including seeing this performed. I also had the pleasure of studying under Ritesh for a few months and seeing him in concert a few times with the Toronto Tabla ensemble. I guess you don't realise how lucky you are until you're half way across the world where they will probably never tour heh (England)
He regularly comes to Perth, he lived here for some time and has family here. Sign up to the Fly By Night club's email list - he usually performs there.
Requiem never had a video for it made, and Psychopomp did originally in Canada but I have been unable to find it on youtube. It was recorded from a live in studio in Toronto's Much Music building with a string quartet. I believe it was included in the Illuminations DVD. I'll need to take a look through mine and see if I can find it.
Thank you for uploading this. I was looking for a good acoustic version of Psychopomp so I could learn how to play it, and this version was instrumental in that aim, as well as being a fantastic recording of these two songs. Cheers

Whoever is in the background going "dah dah dah dah dah dah" is quite annoying, but otherwise it's a fantastic version of two of my favourite songs.
