Most of the info from them are online now a days but I still always recommend a hard copy of janes fighting ships of world war 2 and / or ww1 GREAT books and a amazing series! Know its already to late but I'm surprised your not using NAR for a more historic and realistic mod, highly recommend that also :D
21:18 I like how it says right there (the paragraph just above Classification) that both Admiral Scheer and Admiral Graf Spee had some improvements in armour thickness - which explains away some of the weight difference. Also, something to take into consideration for the future is that nearly every cruiser Germany made during this time were vastly different from the last in some way or another because they were constantly trying to improve the designs. So as a result, comparatively, Deutschland is a much lighter ship compared to Admiral Scheer and Admiral Graf Spee because Scheer and Spee were both improved variants of their class leader. The general rule of thumb you should realistically go by is to look at each ship of a given class separately.
You did notice that the picture that you're looking at to duplicate or is showing you three different versions of the ship from 39 to 44. Small little differences but there are differences like the funnel and the front gun seems to have a extra little gun on top of it on the middle and bottom picture in a couple different places in the back of the ship.
Truly, I would love too, but it's impossible; when increasing the beam/draught, it updates in chucks instead of gradually, so it will not even be close... :(
The length of those 8-inch guns was 56 calibers😅 on Admiral Hipper. And I want to ask you about crew quarters. You have exact information about how many men were on those ships, why don't you check these on your designs? For example, on Hipper were 1400 sailors and on Graf Spee 1150.
@@BroSilly It's funnier when it's harder. CallsignWarhound also tried this kind of campaign with Japan 1890, and he did way better that what Historically happened, achieving 2 of its objectives before the campaign ended early due to the relase of 1.6. You should give it a look

I guess that’s true, but I just got done using DIP for the past few campaigns and I wanted to play some vanilla UAD for once… so far still broken 😅

I suppose that’s true, I’ll consider that when making my refits 👍

It’s true, though it didn’t think it would matter much since the ship won’t look anything like it anyways 🤷♂️
The difference in weight between websites might be because they are using either empty or fully loaded tonnage.
Nah, comparatively, the Deutchschland Class gained a lot of weight with every new ship as Germany constantly tryed to improve the design.
That might be it!
If you were going to truly simulate the two designs you should have set your length beam and draughty accordingly as well as the displacement.

Your battlecruisers have cramped quarters
Oh great, another thing to refit 😢 thanks for informing me!
@@BroSilly your welcome
You got confused bro the ships varied in displacement over class the deutschlands
Oh shoot, I probably did 😅 whoops

Sorry, forgot to say hello😅. And so, hi from Ukraine😊
Interesting… I’ll have to look into it when I refit 👍
22:45 Why? Because it's fun
Exactly!

@@LorenzoFerrari-d5e I shall!
Are you going to do the hipper class heavy cruisers
