Cordite was used on the Hood, not Bismarck. The Bismarcks guns used RP C/38, which is closest equivalent to Tube Powder in game, with a bursting charge that was 69kg of TNT in the Nose and Base fuse HE shells.
Good to know, I already recorded myself putting cordite on all the ships, so I’ll refit them later to Tube Powder 👍
Worth noting that in 1927 the Brits began to switch to a new propellant formulation called Cordite SC, which was based on the formulation of German RP C/12 propellant. Smaller guns (6" and smaller) later in WW2 war also started using triple base "flashless" propellant called cordite NF or NFQ. So if you were making a historical British ship you should refit from cordite to tube powder starting from 1927, though not all at once as I assume they would have taken a while to get rid of all the old stuff. Then around 1942 start refitting 6" and smaller guns to triple base.
@@nerd1000ify ahh ok, unfortunately you cannot change just one gun’s propellant, you have to chose just one for all guns… because Dreadnoughts 😕
A very easy way to determine gun lengths is simply take the barrel length(if in meters times by 1000) then divide ny calibre. So your 15cm/150mm will be 7815/150=52 aka 150mm/L52 guns. You could do a google sheets where you simply put both numbers to get lengths. Happy to make one for you if you like.
If you would do that I’d be happy to take a look at it!
I'm reaaly looking forward to seeing where this goes, don't forget the Scarnhorst class!
Don’t worry I didn’t, I simply decided to make them Battlecruisers for the sake of having some battlecruisers in the navy!
NGL I almost had a stroke when you started placing 16inchers on Bismarck lol
5.9 is close because 127mm is 5in
Honestly i can’t believe I almost made that mistake 😂
@@slavicboi8068 I was having a brain fart tbh
Think the problem you ran into was using the really large fore and aft towers. Other then that looks decent! :D
Probably true that!
This is going to be awesome 👌 👏
I certainly hope so!
There's a video on UAD that accurately builds bismarck and scharnhorst (separate video) if you want to be more accurate
Which one is that?
Drachinifel has a video where he tried to make the Bismarck as historically accurate as possible.
@@releivedstew2756 I think I’ve seen that before!
I think you forgot to increase Tirpitz’s main belt to 13”. She did have historically better armour.
I will have to refit that on later, thanks for telling me!
My poor man getting absolutely fact checked in the comments with people complaining
I’m just doing my best out here guys… 😔
The main battery 15 are 51
Good to know! If they aren’t already that then I’ll have to refit them later
