@@BroSilly And they're not only good at their job, but they're also extremely brave. Those little ships could become a real pain in the ass for the British and the French... Especially for their subs after they get fitted with A.S.W. Equipment. Now THAT will really suck...

I don't think the game keeps track of this. Over-doing it on the standardisation can mess stuff up too. For example prior to WW2 the Brits decided they wanted to standardise battleship dual purpose secondary guns and light cruiser primary guns into a single weapon. The result was the 5.25" gun which turned out to be too heavy and slow firing when used for anti-aircraft work, but too weak for the Dido class cruisers that mounted them as main guns to penetrate the armour of other light cruisers. They would have been better off making 4.5" or 5" guns, the BBs would have had better AA defense and the Didos could have been dedicated AA cruisers like the USN's Atlanta class rather than being mediocre at both anti-air and anti-ship. As a side note, due to a shortage of 5.25" guns two Didos were built with a main battery of 4.5" guns. They were found to be quite useful ships and much better AA platforms than their sisters, despite being outgunned by some destroyers.

@nerd1000ify What I was saying was: "Choose some calibers that you are going to use commonly on your ships" so you'll have your industries build only those chosen calibers so, instead of needing for a whole factory for one single ship's guns, you'll have that same factory to refill the guns of 4 or 5 different ships that have the same gun caliber

The problem that I have with the multiplayer is that it's not really a multiplayer port of Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts, but more of spin-off of World of Warships, except you can "kinda" design the ship yourself. Also it's still pretty buggy and going through heavy maintenance, and on top of that the most amount of people ever online barely gets to a dozen. All in all, most of the creators who got it have agreed it's not really worth it, myself included.

@@BroSilly ...?How is it a Spin-Off of WORLD OF WARSHIPS? The Buggy Issues can be a major Turn-Off, definitely. Even though it is a Multi-Player Game System, it does have Player Vs AI Gameplay. I would really like to see how the MULTI-PLAYER AI performs in comparison to the UA:D AI. I am pretty sure that the two AI Logic Routines; thus, Performance Behaviors, will be very different from each other.

@@stevequerin2504 you can tell the game is not built for single player, as the ai is extremely brain dead. And when I say it feels like a world of warships spin off, it’s because the multiplayer everyone was asking for was for the campaign mode, not just a normal 1v1 ship duel game

I believe that in order to establish an UA:D Multi-Player Campaign Feature, the UA:D Creators need to first establish a Player Vs Player Fleet Combat Feature; which, is similar to the Ship Vs Ship Multi-Player Game Systems of NAVYFIELD and WORLD OF WARSHIPS. I am an Amateur Computer Programmer. I am aware of the Variable Naming Conventions and Arrays Programming Complexity associated with a Game System such as ULTIMATE ADMIRAL: DREADNOUGHTS. EXAMPLE Within the UA:D Custom Battle Feature, and the UA:D Campaign Feature, the Player can create a Warship Design Class; then, request Multiple Warships of that Warship Class; and, the UA:D Game System AI will give each Warship a Specific Name. Within the UA:D-MP Game System, the Player creates a Warship Design; but, when the Player requests Multiple Warships of that one Warship Design, all of those Warships have the same Name; and, not given Individual Specific Names. Therefore, the UA:D-MP Ship Designer isn't a Ship Class Designer; but, is an Individual Warship Designer. In Real Life, Warship Classes, like the USA Iowa Battleships, weren't exact replicas of each other; but, had Design Variations due to a variety of reasons ... • Available Components • Design Flaw Modifications • Armament Changes -- mostly Tertiary Weaponry (Anti-Aircraft Weaponry) • Technological Upgrades due to Ship Construction Time Periods between Sister Ships Thus, within the UA:D-MP, you can actually explore different Warship Design Theories for a Specific Warship Type Concept. • Warship Armor Scheme Variations • Warship Armament Variations • Warship Speed & Turning Variations • More Warship Armor Less Warship Armament • More Warship Weaponry & Armor Less Warship Speed & Turning • More Warship Speed & Turning Less Warship Weaponry & Armor But, you have to take the time to design each individual Warship; and, from what I have seen on the UA:D Videos over the years is that you guys don't want to spend that amount of time on Warship Design. Whereas, I would have no problem with the amount of time it takes to Design individual Warships. I haven't seen enough Video Gameplay to determine how, and in what way, the UA:D-MP AI actually is Braindead. JOKE: All AI's are Braindead; because, they are Machines and not Biologicals. Also, I have not seen Complex, or Variable, Combat Strategies from the TH-cam UA:D Players. Each of you have a Specific Play Style; which, sometimes works for you; and, sometimes works against you. I really haven't seen Real Life Naval Military Tactics & Strategy being implemented by you guys. You guys are just playing off of the limitations of the UA:D Game System. Whereas, I have my own Real Life Warship Design Theories; and, Real Life Warship Combat Theories, that I want to play out, you guys Tactics & Strategies are basically CCG Anti-Deck Decks against the UA:D Game System Warship Designs and Warship Tactics & Strategies. I have zero doubt that if I were to pay UA:D, the Game System AI would Design very different Warships and play differently against me from what is on your UA:D Videos.

It’s a pretty basic tree without mods, though powerful. The last update hasn’t been for a looong time, though they are updating it shortly with the new dlc. And I would say while the tree is basic, I do like its simplicity.
