  • Did you know almost all this lore is as old as 2.0? Indeed my friends! We know more about the New World and its goings on much more than we think! Time to remind ourselves why Eorzea's relationship over the passed hundred years has been so important, and why Dawntrail has so much to build upon!

    Some people may be..m disgruntled about not going to the New World via Limsa and Merlwyb, understandably. However from a political stance, it kind of makes sense. Doing so could look like we, the supposedly disbanded Scions and the WoL who I'm pretty sure could be considered a womd at this point, are either in Limsa's pocket or at least owe them a favor. Going via Sharlyan, who are known if not legendary in their isolationist tendencies (I don't think they even have a Hingashin ambassador in Kugane), that they were sending anyway is a better political move.

      I never put much thought into it since I just assumed we were going there on personal business, but that does make a lot of sense. Though I doubt anyone from the new world would actually know or care about us or who was sending us. Which honestly is a bit refreshing.

    I have two major questions. How come the name Tural never caught on in foreign lands as it is should be the official name compared to the title of New World? And by defeating Molaa Ja Ja, does that make us viable to compete in the contest for the throne? Not as a potential ruler mind you, just as a proxy or champion for the contender themselves.

    • @SynodicScribe
      @SynodicScribe  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Because Tural doesn't refer to the entirety of the New World, only a section of it. Kinda like how Eorzea technically isn't all of Aldenard.
      Unless Dawntrail introduces new lore to elaborate. My notes would suggest that, no, the WoL is in no way entitled to anything for defeating Blessed Siblings. So far, it simply tarnished the warband's reputation and ruined any chance at respect.

    I'm still going to say it I don't get how a bunch of beasts men can be as powerful or even more powerful than the goddess of despair.
    That being said I have a feeling that some Quest we might bump in this new Journey might lead to certain tribes actually wanting to be different like the magic user doesn't want to be a magic user wants to be a warrior and we either have to convince it that you are magic-user or you can use your magic Like a Warrior.
    Another Quest I think we might bump into is little pockets of Despair creatures still hanging about in the jungles and we might have to go end those creatures.
