    Some people may be..m disgruntled about not going to the New World via Limsa and Merlwyb, understandably. However from a political stance, it kind of makes sense. Doing so could look like we, the supposedly disbanded Scions and the WoL who I'm pretty sure could be considered a womd at this point, are either in Limsa's pocket or at least owe them a favor. Going via Sharlyan, who are known if not legendary in their isolationist tendencies (I don't think they even have a Hingashin ambassador in Kugane), that they were sending anyway is a better political move.

      @althelor ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I never put much thought into it since I just assumed we were going there on personal business, but that does make a lot of sense. Though I doubt anyone from the new world would actually know or care about us or who was sending us. Which honestly is a bit refreshing.

    I am looking forward to learning more about how new leaders are put on the throne. The whole leading a war band and the fight in the trailer makes it clear that strength through combat matters but a nation needs more then toughest bastard on the throne to be so thriving and friendly.

    Didnt the blue mage questline talk about going to the new world and that is were blue magic is from?

    • @SynodicScribe

      Yup! What we understand as Blue Magic are arcane arts developed by a tribe of Hyur in the New World called the Whalaqee.

    • @Sayuameangkis
      @Sayuameangkis ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SynodicScribe OK, because if I recall in that quest line someone also went over to build mines and more or less colonize them to fuel the war effort. So not only do we know the new world but we are well on the way to colonising it.

      @@SynodicScribe So in other words what amounts to Eorzia WWE and the WOL holding the title belt for ten years straight undefeated is what stopped colonialism in the new world. That's kind of wild when you think about it, or at least really funny. It still kind of shows the paperwork was already approved for it and done and if not for random chance and betting against the WOL things would be VERY different.

    I have two major questions. How come the name Tural never caught on in foreign lands as it is should be the official name compared to the title of New World? And by defeating Molaa Ja Ja, does that make us viable to compete in the contest for the throne? Not as a potential ruler mind you, just as a proxy or champion for the contender themselves.

    • @SynodicScribe
      @SynodicScribe  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Because Tural doesn't refer to the entirety of the New World, only a section of it. Kinda like how Eorzea technically isn't all of Aldenard.
      Unless Dawntrail introduces new lore to elaborate. My notes would suggest that, no, the WoL is in no way entitled to anything for defeating Blessed Siblings. So far, it simply tarnished the warband's reputation and ruined any chance at respect.

      @@SynodicScribeI thought Eorzea was Aldenard plus Vylbrand and a few smaller islands?

    • @SynodicScribe

      @@jacks1368 The lines of where Eorzea ends are weird. But as written, Aldenard is simply Eorzea's home. If Eorzea was just as big if not bigger, then there would be no point in distinguishing the two.

    • @Gogoglovitch
      @Gogoglovitch ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SynodicScribe You've got it backwards. Aldenard is a continent, containing (among other places) Ala Mhigo, Ishgard, Gridania, and Ul'dah. Vylbrand is a large island off the west coast of Aldenard, home to Limsa Lominsa and the kobolds of O'ghomoro. Eorzea is the name used for the region containing both Aldenard and Vylbrand. This is how they're described in numerous places, including the Encyclopedia Eorzea.

    • @SynodicScribe
      @SynodicScribe  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Gogoglovitch Heck, if we wanna get REALLY technical with it then. Eorzea isn't even a nation or specific place. It's a name give to a concentration of unique aetheric density that just so happens to originate from the core of Aldenard. lmao

    I'm still going to say it I don't get how a bunch of beasts men can be as powerful or even more powerful than the goddess of despair.
    That being said I have a feeling that some Quest we might bump in this new Journey might lead to certain tribes actually wanting to be different like the magic user doesn't want to be a magic user wants to be a warrior and we either have to convince it that you are magic-user or you can use your magic Like a Warrior.
    Another Quest I think we might bump into is little pockets of Despair creatures still hanging about in the jungles and we might have to go end those creatures.
