Absolutely there is possibilities of permanent discoloration especially on lighter fabrics, with some stains containing dyes that sit for like 5 years they can dye the color of tan or cream fabrics
Great video! step by step, clearly explained, well done! Just a side note - I use extractor BUT i do not fill it with water therefore no additional water goes to seats. I never have a problem with wet seats after a detail when using my mytee. If you do the seats first by the time you’re done with the detail it’ll be dry. Just have to know how to use an extractor
Depending on the amount of water you use and the sprayer attachment I see how that can be possible, the only problem is you never know how much water or moisture is trapped in the foam of the seat

If you wanted to wash car carpets, floor mats, seats, etc. that didn't have any visible stains would you just skip using P&S Terminator and just use the other two products? Or would you still recommend using all 3?
I would still do a mist of terminator, for example especially in darker or black fabric you can’t see stains so I’d spray terminator in there anyways and use all 3 as normal
Hey Michael, thank you for your videos! I learned a lot from this video. I bought the system and tried it on my car seats, but I'm getting a strong chemical smell even after applying the Finisher. I made sure to use a new microfiber between each step to mop up and absorb, which helped but I'm still getting the chemical smell. Any advice on how to handle that? Btw, bro you really do have an awesome voice!
Hey this is Mike. I’m so glad it helps! Is it a strong chemical smell while you’re working? Or even days after the interiors been cleaned? In my experience it’s a chemical smell left over from the finisher peroxide, which usually sticks around for about a day or two then it dies out. I like to spray some type of air freshener afterwards so it smells pleasant while the peroxide evaporates out Thanks man i appreciate it 😄
@@reynosoautodetailing Hey Mike! It was lasting about a week. So I found that the leftover chemical smell most likely came from using too much chemicals and not working small section by section. The family car I was working on is old and had never been detailed. I was working on the passenger seat, but decided to spray all of the seats with enzyme. I then went back to working on the front seats, but found that they took way longer to detail because of their condition. As a result, I just sprayed the back seats with the Finisher thinking I'll just work on it again in a few days. I believe I sprayed an excess amount of the enzyme and let it soak into the seats and probably the foam layer beneath it. The Finisher probably neutralized the enzyme on the cloth, but the excess stayed in the foam and gave the car the chemical smell. Going forward, I'm just going to work on the first two steps of the P&S system small section by section while only applying about 3 sprays before steaming and applying the Finisher. Btw, what air freshener spray do you use? I like the vanillaroma scent, but leaving the trees does not look professional imo. So I've been looking for another option. It’s actually not necessary ! The dry method itself without the steamer is effective enough for most normal staining. Steamer just helps for worse conditions
I hear the same words on P&s training year ago 3 method cleaning it work but remember to leave a lot of chemicals on the fabrics Can damage the Interior be careful what do you advertise and tell the clients as well
Yes that is why we do the last step like I said in the video, using P&S finisher to reset the pH in the fabrics and neutralize all chemicals and products, safely finishing the cleaning process
Try this out, extractors are good for something that was spilled the same day or 24 hours before. This method is amazing for the regular dirty car with stains and old spills that you don’t want to bring up or start spreading around
I can’t afford an expensive steamer at the moment, would you recommend starting out with a cheaper end one or just make do without one until I can get a better quality like yours?
i started off with a $40 amazon one and it worked fine but i will say my $100 Wagner steamer is awesome. You can spray for longer durations and you get more power with the more expensive ones but a cheaper one will do the job just fine, you’ll just be refilling your water more
Personally I started with like $150 one from Amazon the mccolluch ones aren’t bad, if you’re on a budget you’ll get like a year out of one of those 👍🏽 Then after you can upgrade to the more expensive
Yes the aquaprovac steamer I’ve shown in my videos runs about $475 and its a lot better than anything under $300, when you spend more on a steamer you get better pressure, more consistent steam, they don’t shoot out water, rarely if any, and the steamers themselves last years and have replaceable parts

A safe cleaner for those would be P&S Xpress interior cleaner, I’d pair that with an Autofiber scrub ninja and wipe off with any microfiber towels, I personally use the Costco Kirkland yellow towels for interior. If you click on the link in the description that includes all of the products and tools we’d recommend!
Not exactly, because regardless it has to dry, and it will still work to neutralize on contact. Maybe I’m the shade might extend its working time but not necessary
Temecula, California! Cigarettes smell can be more complicated because it’s everywhere, the entire interior needs to be steam cleaned, carpets, air vent system, seat belts, under the seats, headliner, once that’s done there needs to be an odor treatment like a chlorine dioxide treatment like the one we use by BioBombs, I’ll put that on the list of videos to make!
Wish I could do this all myself except i don't have a steamer, so i've just been using a foaming cleanser from the auto parts store and wiping it with micro fiber cloths after
You can do this basically entire process, just without the steamer. All these products and the dry cleaning process works amazingly even with no steam cleaning afterwards still comes out great you just have to dry the seats with a fan
Yes very effective without a steamer, you don’t even need a steamer but it does add an extra punch and some bite to break down any harder stains and help kill odor and bacteria, after the majority of the stains have already been removed
What gets me is the owners know they have work vehicles who do nothing about getting seat covers. They create the potential of damaging the seats where they need a replacement. Detailing out such problems is not always the answers.
Oh, P&S Terminator Enzyme Spot & Stain Remever. I thought "he can't be saying what I think that he's saying." CC didn't help because it heard a fallic reference too. :)
Everybody copies Wilson auto detailing? Although dry “soaking and absorb” is great for spot stains it’s not a replacement for true extraction. Would you soak, absorb, and mop (dry extract) your own clothing if you had stains on them, No right? This is not a replacement for extraction.
Yes sir it is a replacement for extraction, same as clothes there’s dry cleaning lol ! Not necessary to soak anything and even for lots of clothing, just like a cars interior there’s more risk involved and potential damage with soaking rather than dry cleaning
@@K.D.HustleThat’s up to us to set up the proper expectations, we need to let them know that not every stain can be removed and the interior will never be perfect
every day all day in every state cleaners are using hot water extraction on sofa & love-seats in the house and clients are happy. SO.....the same system that used and recommended on a sofa should also be used on car seats - peace out - no need to reinvent the wheel. IF it takes too long to dry, unfortunately the detailer just used the extractor wrong usually due to zero training on the extractor or even worse got trained via TH-cam :) --> just go take a 1 day IICRC class
Sofas don’t have a bunch of wiring, sensors, motors, and air bags attached to them like a car seat buddy lol. Sofas are also in a well ventilated large living space, not in a sealed up tight space inside of a car. It’s not the best to use it on sofas either, it’s high risk of mold & bacteria growing inside of the foam of the sofas since it’s very hard for it to completely dry since there’s no airflow that can reach it. Wet dark places are breeding grounds for bacteria
Headliner we use the first 3 steps of this method but we usually won’t use a steamer or a drill brush. Just the first 2 products alone and a damp towel. We also won’t spray much product directly on the headliner, only spot treatments
I just don't think you can get a deep clean with this method. Extracting removes all the dirt. After you do a seat with your method, extract it and see what your missing. Just my opinion.
This is a very deep clean and cleans what we’re sitting on and touching, which is the fabric on the seats and carpets. Extracting just pulls more dirt from under the fabric down in the foam cushion, but you can’t feel that or see it so it damages the seats more than it benefits. It soaks the foam and creates bacteria mold and spreads spills and stains throughout the foam. We’ve had to remove and do full dry outs on countless seats and carpets for our clients because they went the cheaper route and hired a guy to shampoo and extract their seats and ended up being more expensive because of water damages

What is the name of this steamer
Aquaprovac steamer !
Do you know a good way to remove pin needles from your carpet in the car? From Christmas this past year we put the tree in the back of the car and there are still pine needles there, they are like stuck and just a vacuum does not pick them all up. Any tips or tricks you can think of?
Air compressor with a tornador mini to help blow them out and release from the carpet, and a drill brush attachment, and or a dog hair rubber brush
Is the steamer necessary after the wipe down method?
It’s actually not necessary ! The dry method itself without the steamer is effective enough for most normal staining. Steamer just helps for worse conditions
I hear the same words on P&s training year ago 3 method cleaning it work but remember to leave a lot of chemicals on the fabrics Can damage the Interior be careful what do you advertise and tell the clients as well
Yes that is why we do the last step like I said in the video, using P&S finisher to reset the pH in the fabrics and neutralize all chemicals and products, safely finishing the cleaning process
P&S for the win as always.
Yes!! About 70% of our products are only from p&s since they make so many great products for great prices
Just got an extractor
Very new to the game
But this is cool
Gonna do my car and try this method on a couple seats for sure
Try this out, extractors are good for something that was spilled the same day or 24 hours before. This method is amazing for the regular dirty car with stains and old spills that you don’t want to bring up or start spreading around
@@reynosoautodetailing thank you !
That’s very kind of you to share that knowledge with I appreciate it
Great video. I have subscribed. Thanks
Thanks for the support! Stay tuned for more :)
I can’t afford an expensive steamer at the moment, would you recommend starting out with a cheaper end one or just make do without one until I can get a better quality like yours?
i started off with a $40 amazon one and it worked fine but i will say my $100 Wagner steamer is awesome.
You can spray for longer durations and you get more power with the more expensive ones but a cheaper one will do the job just fine, you’ll just be refilling your water more
@@shawnjhuuhurdd thanks brother! I was kinda under the impression a good one would run you at least a few hundred bucks
@@reynosoautodetailing appreciate the reply man! Keep on killing it 💪🏼
Hey bro off topic but where can I find the same type of long sleeve you have on under your shirt? I'm trying to get one for this summer heat and my job I just don't know where to order them.

What stamer do you use
Aqua pro vac steamer
Great training
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Is that a mini camera hanging around your neck or just a mic? What brand?
That is a wireless mic! DJI wireless mics
Do you use these methods for leather seats as well?
I don’t use these methods for leather seats it would be pretty different, I’ll make a video on that!
@@reynosoautodetailinglooking forward to that video! Learning a lot from you
Hi 👋, what are you thoughts on something like the Mytee extractor? You don’t use it at all or has its place? Anyone else s thoughts too. Cheers
I don’t use it at all, I don’t own a mytee or a hot water extractor and I don’t think there’s any need for it. I kept my mini bissel spot clean pro I started with 4 years ago just in case maybe for an emergency spill situation where a spill is still wet, but never happens lol. I haven’t used my extractor in 1-2 years since I stuck to this dry steam method
@@reynosoautodetailing Thank you for your reply and insight. On the fence to get a better extractor or not but may upgrade my steamer instead. Thank you
@@David-ym4foSteamer will do a lot more things! You’re welcome
what about leather seats or faux leather seats--what spray is safe for it. . my car is only 4 years old but can't believe how dusty and nasty it's getting.(i tend to open windows alot) and i am a passenger on ppl's car sthat have pets and it is super nasty.
Shouldn't that peroxide be sprayed in the shade, and not in the sunlight?
Not exactly, because regardless it has to dry, and it will still work to neutralize on contact. Maybe I’m the shade might extend its working time but not necessary
What type of steamer are u using?
Aquaprovac steamer!
Thanks that was surely an option
Yes sir! You can always try different methods
Do you disconnect the battery when detailing
thats something I always wondered but nobody ever mentions
Nope. Start it up if you use any power like rolling down windows etc and make sure lights are off.
I do not! No need to as long as you’re not soaking any electrical components
@@PolishedMobileDetailing503I agree
Thank you
Whats the name of the sprays to buy? Cant understand and didnt write in description
P&S enzyme, P&S carpet bomber, and P&S peroxide finisher
@@oltrophdyes correct
You can click the link in the description and those 3 products are in there
Where did you get that hat?
Amazon!
Where are you located? Florida?? And what about cigarettes smell in car leather seats?
Temecula, California! Cigarettes smell can be more complicated because it’s everywhere, the entire interior needs to be steam cleaned, carpets, air vent system, seat belts, under the seats, headliner, once that’s done there needs to be an odor treatment like a chlorine dioxide treatment like the one we use by BioBombs, I’ll put that on the list of videos to make!
When you use an extracted, you are risking damage to the seat. Always use least aggressive. Madrid And I use P&s 3 step system.
I completely agree
Wish I could do this all myself except i don't have a steamer, so i've just been using a foaming cleanser from the auto parts store and wiping it with micro fiber cloths after
You can do this basically entire process, just without the steamer. All these products and the dry cleaning process works amazingly even with no steam cleaning afterwards still comes out great you just have to dry the seats with a fan
Would you say its still pretty effective without a steamer ?
Yes very effective without a steamer, you don’t even need a steamer but it does add an extra punch and some bite to break down any harder stains and help kill odor and bacteria, after the majority of the stains have already been removed

Your voice is like the one used in the witness protection interviewed in the news.
Hahaha that’s a good one lol
It does like this video is a little chopped and screwed. 😂
Turn the heater on after detailing seats and with windows up, should dry fast
It helps but fans directly on the seats helps so much!
this works on carpets too?
Yes! Carpets, mats, and seats
What gets me is the owners know they have work vehicles who do nothing about getting seat covers. They create the potential of damaging the seats where they need a replacement. Detailing out such problems is not always the answers.
That’s true there is often times damage beyond our expertise and repairs become necessary when there’s a lack of care
Oh, P&S Terminator Enzyme Spot & Stain Remever. I thought "he can't be saying what I think that he's saying." CC didn't help because it heard a fallic reference too. :)
lol no way! CC never helps man I need to say it slower
Literally called dry cleaning 😂 and ppl pay MORE for it because it preserves your clothes lmao
@@Whyareyoulying100 please look up a video of dry cleaning and you will see it’s not actually dry cleaning😂
Wow how this popped up these are the fact seats I had an issue with the other day 😂😂.. I hate how they stain
It happens too often but it’s good to know how to fix them!
Extraction is for deeper cleaning not maintenance cleaning definitely has it’s time and place to use
I agree it has its time and place, if we’re doing flood damage or water damage remediation in a car, we bring an extractor to extract out all water
Thanks for the info I’ll try to apply this process next shampooing detail

i`m 63 been detailing since the late seventies.... there are situations when an extractor is the only thing that works....its another tool have.....
Perhaps it’s not a bad idea to keep one in the garage for a special circumstance!
Dry method- immediately proceeds to spray the seat… 😕
It’s dry compared to an extractor buddy 😂 It’s about 10% of the water you’d use if you used an extractor
every day all day in every state cleaners are using hot water extraction on sofa & love-seats in the house and clients are happy.
Wet dark places are breeding grounds for bacteria
no hard feelings you just need proper training from IICRC and not a soap company @@reynosoautodetailing
I forgot to ask you how do you clean a headlighter
Headliner we use the first 3 steps of this method but we usually won’t use a steamer or a drill brush. Just the first 2 products alone and a damp towel. We also won’t spray much product directly on the headliner, only spot treatments
I’ll do a more in depth video
You look just like my cousin same last name the town in Mexico I believe is also the same name as your last name
Damn bro we might be related lol
Try whit a really bad seats…
We use this every day in our business with all the worst conditions

@@reynosoautodetailing I use my KARCHER PUZZI 10/1, don't rush the job and it pulls the chrome off the bumpers. NOTHING remains wet. I do the sit test following my detail and my shorts sitting on a paper towel never even get slightly damp. If yer in a rush, then all bets are off!

No, thank you. I have no intention of spending five hours on the interior and feeling like I ran a marathon. Best of luck detailing two or three cars; I’ve never encountered a problem using an extractor and a drill brush. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel.
