And the drummer is just nonchalantly drumming away while his friend his fighting the rock devil himself. But, then again, the drummer is the most important part of a band, because, without a beat, the whole song falls apart.

Not to mention the band had to take out the bassist so Lou had a fighting chance. :P

Protip: put a mirror behind you if one of the bosses throws a lefty flip at you. You can then turn around ban just look at the screen through the mirror.

@@joe6go I actually did this when me and my friends would battle my mom had a mirror on the opposite wall of the tv so when they would lefty flip I would turn around. they were so pissed because they thought I had mastered the game to where I knew the notes

As a kid my solution was to instead attempt to look at the screen upside down
It didn't have the desired effect, since I'd always be thrown off by the notes coming from below instead of above
Why had I never thought of that...
This is probably one of the coolest boss battles ever.

I get super confused with the controller buttons but it's fun.

Once you get your first power-up, don't use it right away. His next solo he doesn't acquire anything and neither do you. Use it on his following solo where he WOULD pick up a power-up, like this guy did in this vid.

menschi9 tried it (finished the game on medium previously) im not thrilled at all.
knights of cydonia is not so hard but cult of personality or raining blood o expert are very hard to beat. but i have already beated the game on expert

My friend said he could barely beat Lou on Medium. When I told him I could beat Lou on Expert he asked how, and I told him, "If you get the 'Whammy" power-up, save it until he has a long string of notes, then hit him with it. No one can survive something like that when they can't even play their notes." He then asked, "How did you figure that out?" To which I replied, "Much practice." I also told him that the power-up I'm most vulnerable to is "Lefty-Flip" as I'm right-handed.

I'm right handed, but I'd always nail left-flip when playing against friends and family members. It's not a matter of left-handed or right-handed. It's just a matter of recognition. If you only ever experienced the game with left-flip enabled, then it'd be easier to play it with lefty-flip than it would normally.

I hate this song it is insanely difficult and I always get fucked by Lou getting either a fucking lefty flip or a double notes.
Can't give much advice for double notes.
But for Lefty Flip, get a mirror that's angled so the screen is in full view to you, then look in the mirror when you get Lefty-Flipped. Turn back to screen when it ends.
I was gonna suggest a mirror too

I remember when my friend and I finally got to lou and we struggled against him for days. I had managed to make it to the end of the song thinking I had won by default but he hit me with that finishing solo that crushed me

I literally think I beat this thing only so many times for some reason I was never good at beating it but now I play guitar so I wonder if I’d be any better now

I swear everyone makes out this boss to be harder than he actually is (or at least, how hard I found him to be). Everyone bangs on about having to be extremely lucky and to get the Whammy attack to use at the start of Lou's second solo, but most of your solos are just fret-wanking, so you should be fine. If he uses a Lefty/Righty flip on you, just place a mirror next to your TV beforehand, and look at the mirror image of a mirror image. BOOM! Normality restored. And simply save up your attacks, and try to prevent him from attacking. It still took me several tries, but I'm a pretty good sight-reader.
If he hits you with Double Notes, though, then you're in trouble.
Only pass by the normal way, i tried hard and did it. the lefty powerup and the whammy isn't so hard. And the double notes wasn't impossible. After some tries i did it in the normal way.
Lol this battle is not for the weak. If you did bad in keyboard class at school this games isn't for you🤣🤣
