This is my best score on this battle by far. Before this run, my overall career score was 14,523,193, and now it is 14,551,214, which puts in me in 3rd place overall career score on the Xbox Live Leaderboards (after you remove all the hacked scores). During this run, I didn't even think I would beat my previous high score, but I guess I blew it out of the water. I felt like I really missed a lot of stuff that I shouldn't have. The biggest challenge in going for a high score on this battle is winning too early. There are a lot of power ups in the second solo, especially toward the end, and it's inevitable that you will have to let Lou hit you with some power ups or else you will drain his rock meter too quickly and end the song before victory solo R. This score could definitely be improved, but it is not easy to 1.) make it all the way to the end without him failing too early and 2.) not miss too many notes when he hits you with an attack. But apparently I'm a rock legend so that's cool

@@renzodavio6587 wich just makes the whole encounter even more extreme since we’re you to lose all the insults the singer was throwing will fire back at you, but if you win the singer gets to say “I told you once you son of a bitch I’m the best there’s ever been” and it’s just great
I’m late to this.. But after trying this battle many many times, it gets to the point where Lou will just rip the fuck out of his guitar and he’s impossible to beat unless you’ve mashed him by that point😂

@DioBrando55 I did too, in the first few years I played the game. I thought it was more comfortable. I got seperated from the game for a while, as my 360 broke, and I didn't have much money to buy one. A year passed and I bought a new one. I thought the standard was more comfortable. I found out I was semi-ambidextrous, and my handedness changed over time. :)

One thing I never noticed, they don't start doing attacks/powers until the battle actually starts in the song itself, like after the devil decides to go first, and does his turn, that's when he starts getting opportunities to use attacks, which is pretty neat.
That's the one reason I hated but also loved the song. Because without fail, that first ever attack from the devil would be a Lefty and my God it messes with me so much.

This was Guitar Hero at its best, such an amazing song list and the covers sounded every bit as good as the originals. I would welcome a remaster with all DLC included, some new tracks added and leave the gameplay in tact, don't change a damn thing.

Man, as a kid, beating Lou on expert was a big accomplishment for me, none of my friends were able to beat him on expert. I thought I was hot shit.

I imagine that was him sneering and leering at you, but then flinching back because you still beat him. Like, since music is EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD, he is sneering to throw you off-rhythm, but the music you keep pumping out makes him flinch back and cover himself.

It’s funny how he did the first amp overload part perfectly but messed on the next part without any kind of power up
When I finished this I was on high school, just minutes before going to school, I kept repeating this fight over and over for almost a month I think, even the number of the beast became easy, but this shit was awesome. Only 20 min. before going to my school, I was capable of defeating this, due to waimy and amp being OP against bosses and the waimy+doubles combo. I just finished Lou as fast as I could, because I knew I would not be capable of winning on the latter song (due to my forearm dying). When I see Lou lose, I screamed on the top of my lungs * YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES* then finish the rest of this beautiful song and went to school.
I love this memory. I can't believe it has passed more than 11 years.

Do you think an FC of this is even possible? I'm not requesting for you to do it, I'm just wondering if there's a way to prevent Lou from getting any power-ups aside from the first one. Very impressive FCing through that Amp Overload, btw.
Amp overload is the best power up for him to throw at you first as long as you know the chart. I don't think an FC is feasible without incredible RNG. You would need to get really lucky with amp overloads or leftys during the solos, whammy and broken note are insta combo breakers. There are a few sections where you could combo through a double notes. You absolutely have to let him get a few power ups on you or else you will beat him too quickly. An FC of the battle is possible theoretically, but would take an insane amount of RNG
And well-placed activations based on your own power-ups. Fair enough, that's about what I thought. Thanks!

Easiest way to kill him: You need your first power to be a whammy, the throw it at him when he plays the 1:54 part. Instant kill
that's purely RNG though, and whammies have a low spawn rate.

I think he was going for a high score which meant lasting till the end, and also only hitting Lou with power ups to prevent him from getting them and messing up his own score.
