firstly, this model Never had a chance.! in part, because, like most people, you did not Know what to Change. with electric power, the thrust configuration at the motor mount should be zero-zero.! the wonky angles used with engines are not needed/wanted. but, i am unable to determine whether the configuration of the main wing and its mount make it appropriate to use some negative aoa at the motor. if you choose to try again (for the hellavit), consider reducing the wingspan and stab span. the stab span should be equal to thirty percent of wingspan. i would suggest that the wingspan be reduced by about nine inches. new wingtips could be simple; blunt or rounded/shaped. suggest a cg location a bit forward of thirty percent of chord. at 44:24, the main lg is located a bit aft of where it should be. basically, the main lg should be located directly below the cg. but, this statement assumes a Correctly located c-m. c-m is center of Mass. googletranslate
Thanks for the feed back! I dont know much about planes, so this is good! Im going to look in to it and see if i can make some changes according to your suggestions. That will probably help this plane to fly a bit better. it was very hard to control in the air, and when taking in consideration that it has that wing shape it should be easy to fly:P (im not the best pilot dough).
What was the displacement of the nitro engine you removed from the plane?
Gotta show some love for restoring your first plane 👌
Did you build that metal motor mount yourself or buy it? I’m looking for one just like it
I used nylon spacers and long thin bolts for my conversion of similar plane to electric as I couldn't find a decent motor mount.
