In Turkey he's compiling with 83% of government requests to censor content up from 50% before he bought Twitter. In India the numbers rose to 60-70% of compliance. When it's election time he basically bans every content of any opposition of Erdogan. Think whatever you want but for an "free speech absolutist" this is an absolute joke and far worse than it was before he bought it. He's banning journalists on X who are critical of him like Aaron Rupar (independent journalist), Donie O'Sullivan (CNN), Ryan Max (New York Times), Matt Binder and Micah Lee. Every one of them got banned after criticizing him. But I guess censorship is alright when it goes your way.
It's so frustrating and it makes me angry when people pretend that Donald Trump was a peaceful person and that January 6 was a peaceful gathering and that people on the left stirred up trouble. Trump himself said to march peacefully to the capital and then fight like hell. Sure, the march to the capital would be peaceful and orderly, and then the fighting would break out. He used the word "fight" over 20 times. What did they expect would happen? He was telling people that their country was being stolen from them and if they let that happen they would never get it back again. They had to fight like hell. it was not going to be a peaceful transition. Trump and his people were the ones who whipped people up into an hysterical frenzy. Musk talks about the fake information come from the left but he is so good at spinning the fake information from the right. He doesn't want freedom of speech. He wants freedom to lie.

I don't know why Rogan said we didn't know about any of this. Hundreds of thousands of us knew what was going on, years before Elon bought Twitter. Just because HE didn't know, doesn't mean none of us did. I was raised in a home of "damned if you do and damned if you don't", so I was already extremely familiar with this type of thing. The incident that Elon spoke about Trump, where they said that what he posted was a "dog whistle" was also a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. Elon's purchase of Twitter was what made it possible for Trump to win the election. He really did change the course of history. @@bugsy742 I'm up-to-date on UK gun laws since I've lived all over Europe and worked regularly with guys out of the UK in the private sector, specific to things that require firearms. The best gun laws are in Northern Ireland, where you can own pistols and even get a Concealed Firearms License, but it's subject to the police determining if there's a threat to you. Owning shotguns and bolt action hunting rifles is not what I'm talking about though. I'm talking real defensive capability that makes the government think twice about defaulting to their natural, tyrannical state.

This has been going on for a lot longer than you think. During the Afganistán debacle, every quadrant of the country including the Carribean were getting obscenely different news. Under Elon Twitters censorship has shifted massively with increased compliance to government requests in countries like Turkey, India and other "more authoritarian" countries. In Turkey he's compiling with 83% of government requests to censor content up from 50% before he bought Twitter. In India the numbers rose to 60-70% of compliance. When it's election time he basically bans every content of any opposition of Erdogan. He used the word "fight" over 20 times. What did they expect would happen? He was telling people that their country was being stolen from them and if they let that happen they would never get it back again. They had to fight like hell. it was not going to be a peaceful transition. Trump and his people were the ones who whipped people up into an hysterical frenzy. Musk talks about the fake information come from the left but he is so good at spinning the fake information from the right. He doesn't want freedom of speech. He wants freedom to lie.

I don't know why Rogan said we didn't know about any of this. Hundreds of thousands of us knew what was going on, years before Elon bought Twitter. Just because HE didn't know, doesn't mean none of us did. I was raised in a home of "damned if you do and damned if you don't", so I was already extremely familiar with this type of thing. The incident that Elon spoke about Trump, where they said that what he posted was a "dog whistle" was also a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. Elon's purchase of Twitter was what made it possible for Trump to win the election. He really did change the course of history. And Trump really did win in 2020, no one will ever be able to convince me he didn't. The best gun laws are in Northern Ireland, where you can own pistols and even get a Concealed Firearms License, but it's subject to the police determining if there's a threat to you.

This has been going on for a lot longer than you think. During the Afganistán debacle, every quadrant of the country including the Carribean were getting obscenely different news. I knew this when my gardener came back from vacationing in Texas, and gave me in the northeast, the tv news and newspaper results of H. Clinton’s watergate. So I called my contacts in Florida, California and Caribbean. Everyone received a different account, according to what they wanted each demographic’s to hear for their own agenda. I’m glad they’re out.
I’m a low tech elderly and assumed it was my incompetence that was blocking my search for the Rogan/Trump 3 hours interview.
Now I am furious to know I was being defrauded.

I used to be on Facebook but after having an honest and open conversations and some respectful comments about 2020 election, received several comments from Facebook team, that my account will be suspended because the comments were offensive to them contradicting with facebook policies…
They went against citizens’ First Amendment. Reminded me of the dictatorship my family and I ran from to give our kids freedom. It was sickening and disgusting. Our young people had their brains washed educated with propaganda and media manipulation…

yeah i get my facebook account suspended nearly every week if it isnt a month long suspension and usually its because of some very well meaning comment talking about how both sides can find a middle ground or something along the lines. ive practically given up with facebook moderation.

In short, he is a massive risk taker, and it's rewarded him well overall, but it's not the kind of very high risk taking that I would personally want in high levels of operating an entire country.
